The Olympics are killing my workouts!

I am so tired!

Last night I finally had to admit I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and turned off the TV during all of the gymnastics hoopla. I've been totally sucked in to watching every night and am not getting enough sleep!

Now, instead of being up for my HIIT on the treadmill this morning, I keep thinking about going back to bed .

Anybody else suffering from an "Olympics Hangover"?

Yes, they are disrupting my life!!! I don't get to bed until 11 pm and then I have to wake up at 5 am. I am like a zombie. I think I might need to ban myself from watching them.

Ditto Karin and Kelly. I had to ban myself from watching past nine last night...it nearly killed me!!!:)

I know! I've been up way too late every night, too. Luckily, I took tomorrow off so I can stay up as late as I want to watch the women's gymnatics all-around final. That's probably my favorite event of the whole games--but I love it all! I'm going to stay up as late as I want tonight, Friday, and Saturday, but then I'm going to have to limit myself next week.

DH records the Olympics nightly, and during the news we fast forward to the parts we didn't see and wanted to - like the swimming and gymnastics which seem to be on sooo late. I simply cannot keep my eyes open past 10PM, so this way I get to see things I want to.

An aside: I have to admit that I think the guys in the beach volleyball should at least be shirtless if the girls are in itsy bikinis.

I'm so tired. I'm staying up way too late. I love the Olympics especially the gymnastics. I tivod it one night but it cut off the end of the men's team final.
I had to search the internet to find out the final outcome.

I haven't been able to stay up -- I have missed gymnastics and Michael Phelps win all his golds. I have to catch the replays on the Today show the next morning.

I was NOT pleasant to deal with yest at work!! So sorry to all my coworkers. Normal bedtime is 9 or 930, 10 is stretching it.

Me too,im so tired this morning....i fell asleep around 12:15 last night because i was in the middle of watching womens gymnastics. The first thing i did this morning was see who won. I was also cheering the USA swimmers!!!!

now i have to really psych myself out if im going to do GS c&t today:confused:

I totally agree!!!! I feel like I am in the Olympics every morning because I am so tired! I used in the central time zone and boy do I miss it now!!!!!!!

YES I need to go to Olympics rehab!

ME TOO! We did a Greek unit this summer, so topping it off w/ the Olympics is just too much fun for our family. I am so inspired to amp up my runs now, and DS(4 years) wants to be a swimmer now. After one of Phelps's heats, he said, "Hey! I can do that!" :) It's never to early to reach for the stars, huh?

Oh my gosh, totally!! I stayed up (barely) until 1 freakin 30 this morning!!! Although the finish of the contest was great. Of course, that's after staying up till 1 on Tuesday and 12:30 on Monday. Thank goodness today is Friday. I need some rest. I slept right through my alarm and the tv this morning and was 30 minutes last to work. Damn Olympics. Thankfully, all of the stuff I watch is over this weekend (I hope). Next week it's all the track and field, so I won't feel as compelled to stay up. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It is horrible! I can hardly get up on the morning! It will be better for me once they go to track and field....Not quite as interested in that! :)

I agree, however ,that the men's beach volleyball uniforms are too big! Another vote for shirts off!
