The Classics or Cardio Hits dvd?

Hi,
I cannot decide which dvd would be my best first Cathe step dvd. I am fairly new to step, but have been exercising to the Firm and others for years.
Thanks!
Shevia

The Classics (step jam, step heat, step max)
Cardio hits (power max, step fit, step works)

Hi Shevia! For a first Cathe DVD, I would have to lean more toward the classics. The choreography may be slightly easier to pick up than the others, and it will give you a broad base of moves that you will see in her other videos as well.

They are all good workouts and you will be pleased!

Lynn.

Hi - I agree with Lynn. Go with the Classics DVD if you're new to Cathe. My rule of thumb---when learning Cathe a few years ago---was go with the oldest tape (workout) first. Her choreography seems to build in successive workouts. Therefore, start with Step Heat. You might find the second section of it a little bit challenging at first--PREVIEW, PREVIEW, PREVIEW!! Before you know it, you'll be doing Rhythmic Step like a pro. Have fun. Suzanne

I just got Cardio Hits, I have only tried Power Max and Step Fit so far but I love it!! Step fit gets a little tricky, there is a lot of movement around the step in all kinds of patterns, I definatly didn't get it down perfect the first time I did it. I would say they are both great dvd's and as long as you preview them, and give it a couple shots to learn everything you'll love either one. Power max isn't that tricky, its more full of jumping and power moves instead of dancy choreography. I agree that the classics will most likely be easier to pick up on. So you can pick The Classics which is slightly less complex, or cardio hits...which just may take a little longer to learn. Once you learn everything and feel comfortable with the moves, they are a blast!! Good luck picking a dvd!! -Purplesky1120

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I will start with the Classics and work up from there. Shevia

Definitely the Classics -- as everyone else seems to be saying...

Both are great investments though -- you'll quickly work your way up to Cardio Hits!
