OK, I just had to weigh in here. That was positively the most HILARIOUS photo from the entire trip! I wish I had been on that Target run...though I probably would have wet my pants laughing so hard! All hail Shelley for that stroke of comedic brilliance. I'm ordering a copy of that one!

I really enjoyed that picture also:D Ya know I thought the picture looked like it was taken at my Target!! Made me feel like......Hey I've been there before:7 And ya know I HAVE :7 Target is one of my Favorite stores!! I will FOREVER think of Shelley when I see those Balls :D

I laughed at that picture and tried to see if there were other shoppers around , but the picture didn't show. Would love to see their reactions!!!!
Our Target has those balls in front too........I would LOVE to think I would do that too!

It was great, wasn't it? I was laughing to myself thinking with Cathe's HUGE gym and all the classes they took that Shelley would do her famous pike in front of Target...Go Shelley...we love ya!:)
 
Awwwww, thanks guys! Really, it was an opportunity that could not be passed up. And as Angie said "you'll never see any of these people again", meaning all the people in the parking lot and surrounding area. I got some interesting looks, but most people smiled. The best part was that I had to do it TWICE, because Dani said "Oh wait, we need to get the Target sign in there!".

We all figured it was very appropriate, as Cathe's new workouts and step package is going to be sold there.:)

I went to our Target last night and just cracked up at all those red balls! I'll never look at Target the same way again!

Shelley, I went to Target yesterday to pick up my HP book, and I saw the red balls out front and had a really hard time stopping myself from trying to do a pike right there! ;) Well, it just wouldn't be the same without you, Angie, Dani and Becky there! :D
 
I posted it and finsgirl (Angie) has one too. OMG...you should have been there! We were DYING laughing. She is one hilarious chick!

OMG, Shelley, what a riot! I won't rest now until I go to Target and do the same thing. Maybe we should all do it and post pictures!
 
Soosan - you should get a picture of Rocky doing a pike at Target. By the way, I loved the classes you led on the road trip. You're a great instructor. Obviously Cathe could see that and decided to bow out gracefully.;)
 
I hate to say it, but Rocky's a bit of a snob and refuses to do a pike in front of Target. He said he'd do one in front of Sachs Fifth Avenue, though, if the lighting were just so.

Another thing I hate to say is that Cathe didn't actually "agree" (as it were) to let me instruct. She was kind of "persuaded" by my "accidental" sequential power kicks into her jaw and mistimed hooks into her ribs.}( }( }(

You did notice, though, that I left the front to you during kickboxing. Your form is something to be reckoned with!
 
Why, thank you! I was determined to be at the front for that class, since kickboxing is my favourite and it was sometimes difficult to see Cathe from the back of the room. I was a bit scared of kicking Emily, though, who was right behind me!
 
You know, SOOSAN, that would be a terrific idea. Women all over the country being spotted doing these crazy things on balls in front of Target. We could probably get on CNN as a human interest story for these wacky antics...and more publicity for Cathe! (..."Also today in the news, sightings of strange women posing upside down in front of Target stores nationwide leave onlookers baffled...")

Trouble is, none of my Targets have those balls...only ugly-looking concrete things that don't resemble balls in the least. If I have to, I'll take my stability ball and plant it in front of the store!

There is one Target around here that has the balls, but I just don't get it....what are the balls there for? To run into with your cart on accident because you are in a hurry and you are looking back to make sure your kids can keep up? Is it to serve as a roadblock so that when teens are changing the CDs in their car they hit it instead of the walkers by-and the building? No, you know, I am sure they put them there because they knew that sometime, somewhere, a Shelley Limecat was going to do a pike on it!, and I am happy they did! That was classic! You can show your grandkids when they get older!

Debbie! Those are cement red balls stuck to the sidewalk all along the front entrance. :7
