Help me lighten up my career funk. Here are mine:
My best job was driving the beverage cart on a country club golf course (Fords Colony in Williamsburg, to be exact). It was so much fun--everyone was always unbelievably happy & excited to see the beer girl! Also most of my customers were tourists who stuffed their pockets full of cash, their only goal to spend it all before they went home. I'd work 3-4 days a week & make enough to pay the rent, plus I learned how to play golf for free on one of the east coast's most beautiful courses.
My worst job is the one I have now. But during college I did work one summer at a gym where the owner was absolutely insane. He'd competed in the '70s & I'm pretty sure his brain was completely fried from 'roids. He'd fly into a rage over the stupidest things (I remember once he didn't like the taste of a pot of coffee I'd made & I literally thought he was gonna hit me), he was incredibly mean & at times really frightening.
