Technology thread- how are you watching downloaded w/o's?

How are you all watching downloaded videos? In scanning through the boards, I see that some of us (myself included) are burning to DVD, others are using some kind of hard-drive that they hook up separately to the tv, some using cables to hook up their iPod to the TV, etc...

I am curious as to how you all are using the downloads?

Has anyone tried doing this with Apple Tv?

Has anyone been able to convert existing DVD's to their hard drive and play that way?

The prospect of replacing stacks of DVD's with a hard-drive the size of a book is intriguing to me- I have already done this with my CD's

My method is that I download to my laptop, connect wirelessly to my Mac Mini which is hooked to our TV (we are networked) and watch that way. It's beautiful! I also have some downloaded to my iPod Nano just in case I'm away!

I download to my computer then download the workout to my iPod Nano; I conncet my Nano to the TV. Easy peasy.

I use my Gen5 ipod with the cable connected to TV. My Gen5 has a really large hard drive so lots of room on there for the video and my ipod touch is always ready to go where I go. I keep a couple on the touch just in case but that has a much smaller hard drive.
I also keep a copy of them on a thumb drive in case I am at work, I can use them on the projection system there.
