Good Morning Ladies,

How is everyone? I haven't checked in for a while. Been busy and then DH and I went away for the weekend. I could check the internet from the hotel room but it was dial-up...soooo, you know what that was like! Didn't have the time or patience to post.

While I was away I splurged BIG TIME and I didn't workout. I brought my clothes to run but for some reason, I always found something else to do(or course!) I went out looking for "the Abs Diet" book and I found it.I started reading it yesterday and got about 1/2 way through so I am going to try starting it today.It may be a little hard b/c I only have read 1/2 of it. Says you could lose 5-8 lbs in the first two weeks though:) Reading these books makes you realize how healthy we should be eating and that our bodies are not a garbage disposal.

I am working days today and tomorrow so my plans are to run in the morning and do weights in the evening.The book says that you don't have to workout for the first two weeks but we know thats not gonna happen!

I did some shopping this week and was not disappointed with the sizes I was trying on. I bought smalls in shirts and a 5 in the pants.I also had the lady look for a size 27 in the jeans I was trying on. Then I went to American Eagle....and that was a different story.I could get the 4's on but they were sooooo low that I didn't have to bend over in order for anyone to see my butt crack!

Anyway, I gotta go run so I will check in when I get to work to see if anyone else is awake.

Hello Ladies....Well, my eating wasn't that hot either. It was good Friday and yesterday, but Sat., it was horrid. I finally started my period after being 3 weeks late, and it hit with a vengance. I did not work out Friday or Sat., but last night I went for a 55 min. walk, and I cruised. I probably went around 4 miles.

Well, I went clothes shopping this weekend too, and I bought 2 t-shirts, v-neck, and I bought a large!! I always, always wear medium, but I don't want them to shrink to nothing, so I got lg. to be on the safe side. I also bought a kacky blazer, and a really cute dress jean jacket. It was Bill Blass, and I got it for $22!!!!

Lori, I have the ABS Diet book. I try to follow their guidelines, along with WW's Core foods. I do want to get that little recipe book the girl mentioned. I have seen it before, and I looked for it last week, but I did not see it. I also looked at the BFL Guide for women that is out now. I did not want to spend the money.

I have to tell you, I bought some Joyce Vedral tapes for my lower body yesterday. My lower body seems to get bigger, not smaller, and I have read on the Ya-Ya's that alot of people lower bodies really respond well to her workouts. They are more pyramiding workouts, but w/ more reps and lighter weights. So, we will see. Today I think I will do ME.

Hi all!

I was a BEAST today with my workout! I did Powerstrike 1 which is growing on me, and then I did P90X Chest and Back. Upped my push up count to 70! I tried to get Ab Ripper X in but as soon as I laid down, that was it! :)

I am going back to SBD Phase 1 for a week because of my terrible eating last week - I lost control of myself! :) I think a week will get back on track.

I allowed myself a couple of indulgences this weekend, eating-wise, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. (Thanks Bobbi!) Back to nice, clean eating today.

Tonight I'm doing Lowmax and a Coremax segment. I always look forward to LM. It's so much fun!

Lori- Whats the BFL womens book about? I had it in my hands but I didn't know what I was buying so I put it back down. When we went to Chapters yesterday I looked for it again, to flick through but they didn't have it. And I thought, I don't need to be reading two books right now.I will have myself totally confused. And then one of the ladies that worked there came up to me and said...."do you need any help" (stopped)then said "why are you in the diet section anyway,my goodness you don't need to be on a diet" I just smiled and agreed.How was she to know my pants are getting to tight?

Lisa- 70 push up?! Thats crazy. I can make it though 12. I am really going to start pushing myself with my workouts as well.Even if I have to lower the weight 1/2 way through, atleast I challenged myself in the beginning.

Shelley- I ate alot of food and I didn't want to get on the scale today but it said that I weighed the same.I guess not working out and eat alot may take more then 3 days later to show up.

I just ate my snack and I am going to boil some eggs for lunch. I can't beleive how hungry I am. I think it was the run I did before work.Tonight is going to be legs

Good morning, ladies!

Since it was anniversary weekend, we ate out but I kept my self control pretty much intact. I also allowed myself a couple of indulgences but nothing like last weekend! I only had a few bites of movie popcorn instead of the whole bucket - and a marshmallow sundae at Culver's, my fave. :9 Otherwise, I ate lots of veggies and fruits and other good stuff.

I was too lazy to get out of bed this morning at a decent hour (I'm allergic to Mondays) so I will be catching up w/Step Blast tonight.

Lisa, awesome job on the 70 pushups!!!! That is incredible!!

Today is MM, and a segment of SM. This morning I poured my son some rice crispies with skim milk. He took 2 bites and than ran into the our bedroom to talk to my husband. I figured he was done with his cereal and I grabbed it and ate it all. I felt bad about it. He came back out into the kitchen and before he could discover that I ate his cereal (I used the last of the milk), I said "Let's go to Dunkin Donuts!" Went to DD, bought a 1/2 dozen. I ate about 3. Terrible!!!

All right chickie poos. Tonight I did Lowmax and Coremax segment 2 with the stability ball. I don't find it as difficult as segment 1 or 3.

My eating was pretty good today, although I picked a little. I'll blame PMS and just carry on about my business.;)

And now it is 8:53. I am off to the shower to remove the stench of the day and then I'm going to get in my jammies and do a crossword.

Good Morning Ladies,
And its not a very nice one here! Its rainy, windy and cold. I am suppose to be busy around 10 but I think they will change their minds and not even come here....or maybe I am wrong.
I am in to the new diet head on today. Yesterday was a little weird b/c I didn't have many groceries in the house so I had a hard time trying to figure out what I should be eating.So everything went good yesterday until dinner time when I picked up pizza.The thoughts of going home and making an egg sandwich was just not apealing to me.Not after working all day so I picked the processed meat off and ate a peice of pizza. Oh well, then I did L&G last night. I am gonna be stepping it up a notch with my workouts as well. Cardio in the morning and weights in the evening. I am going to be working Lower and Upper twice a week. For Upper its gonna be GS and CTX UB and Lower body is gonna be GS and L&G.
So.... I started my day off with a 35 min run (thats all I had time for)and now I am eating a bowl of oatmeal with cranberries and almonds.Tonight is gonna be Upper body,not sure which,depends on what I have time for...and I think I am going to do the floor work from PS Legs and Abs, also hopefully more cardio, I will do the cardio before I do the floor work.

Good Morning.....I don't know what workout I am going to do today. I really haven't decided yet.

Yesterday eating was good.

70 Push Ups, WOW!!!!!!!! I am proud of myself when I do a set of 12, and then a few more full forms in the next round. That is great Lisa.

They were tough and I'm still missing my goal - I want to be able to do 8 reps per set (P90X Chest and Back has a slew of pushup sets), but I'll get there. I can't believe I did some decline pushups though - I couldn't do any last week!

I got up late today and though I wanted to workout, I didn't have time. I will workout this evening P90X Plyo today.

Did well on food last night. Had crab with very little butter, a salad at lunch, some cheesse, nuts, an egg - phase 1 doesn't really bug me. The only thing I really miss is popcorn and its not like I can eat a lot of that in Phase 2 either! :)

Today I'm having tomato with peanut and yogurt sauce, a salad for lunch, ham and turkey rollup, of course some cheese, and chicken capri for dinner! YUM!

Lorihart, Sounds like an energetic plan!! I am sure you will see fabulous results.

Today, I ran 2 miles. I know, not a lot, but very busy today. Tomorrow is lowmax.

Hi all!

So I did Kenpo X tonight instead of plyo -I treid Ab Ripper and it darn near kiled me so I opted for a little "less" of a cardio workout. Kenpo X isn't as bad as it looks in preview. It's a nice drill!

Did fine on food today - sweet! Tomorrow is Shoulders and Arms P90X and some sort of cardio - maybe tebo!

Morning all!

Last night was MM and I managed to do the first set of push-ups on my toes!!! WHOOT!

Tonight I'm going for a run to enjoy the bee-yoo-tiful weather we're having (a little chilly but gotta love that sunshine) and I'll do a segment of Coremax. I also have to do Dustmax.:p

Everybody is working it!! Lisa, are you seeing some nice results? I know you lost a lot of inches.

Today is Lowmax for me.

I have to do a search on theis P90X whatever it is. Is it multiple DVD's? What's so great about it? It seems like everybody does it.

Shelley - woohoo on the pushups! I know how good it feels to be able to do them!

I did Taebo Fat Blasting Cardio for about 15 minutes today - truly I hate these new workouts. I wish I didn't because I love Billy, but this band stinks to me and the workouts are too slow. :-( I used my Xercuff and got a niceburn though.

Will do P90X Shoulders and Arms tonight. Go to www.beachbody.com and check it out!

I haven't checked my results since my last checkin and won't until May 7th, but I can say that I now fit a size 12, albeit tight. I can button and zip them without laying down to do it or holding my brath! They may fit nicely by the time I weigh in again!

Lisa, it looks interesting. How do you think it compares to Cathe? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what clothing size did you begin with? Thanks.

I don't mind you asking! I proud of the changes I've made so I'll talk about it all day! :) I started out - say last Novemember- at a size 16 that really, if I was going to be honest about it, was an 18 for comfort. I worked out a bit before the new year and brought it down to a comfortable 16, tight 14. Now I'm a loose 14 and I just got into those 12s today! I'm trying to go to 10 (maybe 9 if I can sustain it).

P90X is awesome -very intenses. It is more like a guy's workout (in fact my hubby loves it and he hates to do videos!) - gym style, no choreography. You go at your own pace and decide how many reps you'll do (as well as weights). So you are challenging yourself to push it and so is Tony and the team. It is tough. Ab Ripper X makes all of Cathe's stuff look simple - and that's saying something because Cathe kills me. Would I do it consistently all year? No. I need the variety of step and kickboxing (though his Kenpo X isn't as bad as I thought it would be - it looked really slow on preview) and throw a little spining in there. But P90X certainly mixes things up for me. I can do pushups when I couldn't do them before. I'm very pleased that I bit the bullet and went for it!
