STS results so far....

Cathlete
After reading that some people gained weight during the 1st phase of STS, I decided to weigh myself, even though I wasnt going near a scale until after completing Meso 1. I am pleasantly surprised to have lost 7 lbs! I have lost 1 inch off my hips, 1/2 inch off my thighs and waist. Again, I wasnt supposed to measure or weigh myself until the end of each cycle. I am doing the 6 month rotation and will begin week1 one of week 3 in Meso one this week, so I havent completed the entire meso 1 yet.

I was also intrigued to know my measurements and weight because every one at work is telling me that I am losing weight. I know that my clothes are loose, but to me, not so much. My husband, says that I have lost weight in my neck. I thought my neck, who notices one neck! He doesnt notice any changes in my body except my neck, go figure. I gave my scale to my friend to hide until next month, when I complete meso 1. I've only measurement my hips, waist and thighs before beginning STS. But after my husband "neck notice", I measured my neck, calves and arms.

In case anyone wants to know, I have not changed my diet drastically. I decided at each week I will elimnate the bad and add the good foods. The first week was no white rice only brown, the second week no added white sugar just natural or non at all. My goal for week three is elimnate one fast food item for fresh or less fat/sodium, such as no pizza this week. I have been drinking alot more water and I am aiming to elimnate pepsi products during week four. I am hoping that by the end of March, to begin following the eat clean diet/concept.

I am so loving this program so far...

Oh wow! Good for you!! That's awesome. I refuse to weigh myself because for me, I totally zone in on a "number" and get so frustrated when that particular "number" doesn't appear. Now I know I'm not "fat" by any means but I think all us women always find a million and one things we hate about our bodies. What I'll happily admit to after nearing the end of Meso #1 (tomorrow is my last disc!), I definitely feel a change in my body and even see some good results. I didn't end up measuring anything but I do sense some changes in terms of how my clothes fit and things like that. My husband claims I'm a "skinny minnie!" which can't be all that bad right? And even a coworker commented that I looked thinner. So who knows, maybe that "number" isn't so scary afterall! I don't really care what it ends up being, I just how I feel right now and am so excited to get to the second phase! My sister and I are eager-beavers to keep moving! Next week will be quite odd not doing any STS workouts and all cardio.

My husband, says that I have lost weight in my neck. I thought my neck, who notices one neck!

Congratulations!!! That is awesome results.

When I lost weight in the past, my husband also says "I see you are losing weight, I see it in your neck" HAHA!!!

I am not weighing myself until the end of Medo 1.

I have lost 17 pounds

I am so loving this program so far...

I have lost 17 lb with no dietary modifications whatsoever.

No clean eating, etc.

Life is too good to restrict every food there is.

Besides that, clean eating is very expensive and I am not a rich person.

The only thing I do different is I do not eat after 7 pm and I watch my portions closely.

I am wearing clothing I could not fit into for the past couple of years.

My daughter was first to notice how much weight I have lost.

Congrats! That's awesome! I - like my sister (JSutera - above) - have been noticing some marked changes, which is awesome. First workout EVER to see such a change so fast, in terms of tone. I love it and am so excited to enter each new mesocycle to see what's next! :)

17 pounds...

Wholly cow, that is awesome, Amy! I am kinda of hoping to lose a lot more in the next couple of months. I hear ya about how eating clean can be expensive, but I still am aiming for next month to began eating much better. I am a pizza and chinese takeout nut and I know those foods are not good for me. In the few weeks that I have been modifying my meals, I notice that my taste buds has changed. For instance, this morning we had pancakes with my favorite strawberry syrup, it was too sugarly for me. That is a first for me, normally I would have pancakes with my syrup and the sweetness doens't bother me. Last nite, after running many errands and no time to really cook, we opted for pizza. It was too salty, again something I would have not paid attention too or notice the taste. I only had one slice.

I haven't noticed any significant changes yet, But I have noticed that I'm not that hungry...yeah! I haven't weighed myself yet...maybe tomorrow morning. Cangrats to all that have lost weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) Kay

I guess I had better point out that I was losing weight before Meso One. But Meso One has really motivated me and I am not worried about weight gain in the least. I figure I can always lift lighter than Cathe and crew and lift heavy for me. I can't go 30 pounds on anything except the lat rows and I barely can get through those.

Anyway.......

I got rid of a toxic friend, you know, the kind who deliberately tempts you with cakes and the like? It was like she was setting me up to gain weight for some sadistic reason.

Also, I buy pizzas with either light or no cheese and without all that thick crust. I stick to the crisp crust which I like better anyway.

I bought some Aim toothpaste because it was inexpensive, but it is so sweet it makes me sick. I'll stick to Ulltra Brite or Colgate. I am using the rest of the Aim because I am cheap.

I just returned from the doctor and I've gone from a little over 148 to 131.5 lb. I am 5'1".

Ultimately I would like to get down between 120 to 125 which I consider my Happy Weight. However, everybody asks me if I am sick when I weigh that low. I do look gaunt at 120 to be sure.

Congrats on the changes everyone!

I finished Meso #1 yesterday but am only weighing and measuring once a month. Sunday will be the big day--my fingers are crossed! My pants seem slightly looser, my stomach is much flatter and my shirts seem tighter in the lat & shoulder area. This month just flew by for me.

What are you all doing for your Active Rest week?

Congratulations on your weight loss. I am like you. I am so loving STS. It kicks my butt, but as Cathe says,"You get out of it what you put into it."

I think Pepsi products would be about the only thing I refuse to totally give up. I have to have some vice! I just do not drink them in excess.

I am about there and need to decide. I will probably take it very easy and may not do much of anything.

Afraid to get on the scale!

I've been eating so much! I'm just so hungry since starting STS! And it's PMS time, which means that I hold water like a sponge.

I am happy to be doing STS, but I don't think it's going to take an ounce off of me... not unless I stop eating everything but the kitchen cabinets!

Amy, good for you! Seventeen pounds is a huge victory!
