Incidentally, I just borrowed three Moskowitz vegan cookbooks. I made the curry laksa tonight. Have you tried it? It was delicious!
I don't have a problem going vegan when it comes to non-dessert dishes. I would also miss bacon and eggs very much.
You're a surgeon, right? It occurred to me one day--when you have major arm DOMS from Cathe, does it make your arms shake like limp noodles and affect your surgeon arms/hands?
Carolyn, do keep sharing with us to get it off your chest. We don't consider it moaning and groaning at all. We are here for you! If it's any consolation, my DH would say the same things as yours!
Hi Betty!!
Glad to hear that I'm not the only sweets-aholic here!! ;-) I think you're right...there's something about fall/winter that just makes u want to bake pies and cookies...then promptly devour them! Thank goodness for Cathe's calorie busting workouts!!
Soooo glad u got the cookbooks!! I love her recipes! I haven't made the curry laksa yet but have tried several of her other curries and they were all great. Maybe I'll do the laksa this week....
I am a surgeon but interestingly enough, I don't usually get upper body DOMS. Lower body DOMS isn't unheard of for me, but I rarely get arm/shoulder DOMS. Even with going heavy on Gym Styles and with STS...???????? Surgery residency does an awesome job of teaching u how to work under less than comfortable/ideal situations... Physical comfort often takes a back seat in the OR.... DOMS be darned! ;-)
Carolyn, I agree... 5-6 weeks in the grand scheme of things is but a short break from your usual routine. And this break is essential for proper healing. So even though its maddening and frustrating and annoying, this too shall pass. ;-). Hang in there!!
