Hey everyone!
I decided to go ahead and kick off Oct. with....STS!
Yes, I really wanted to play around w/the new stuff before starting, but when I sat down to think about it, the lack of a plan was actually contributing to my "fitness funk"
. I kept putting everything off, and not doing much of anything, because I kept thinking, "well, when the new series gets here, I'll be able to push harder despite injury" and having to constantly conjure up w/o's day-by-day that would work around the Achilles, was draining, to say the least...
So, I committed to at least doing...something
and I feel better already. I just
really need to stop thinking about it constantly, lol (you know...the watched pot never boils?
) I still obviously will have some "work-arounds", here & there, but...whatever! I figure I'll just keep doing the w/o's that I have been doing for cardio that (hopefully) won't anger the Achilles monster (which is feeling decent at the moment), along w/STS, and when the new w/o's arrive, it'll just give me that much more motivation because I'll have something to add to the rotation to prevent boredom. I'm hoping that if I keep up w/the lower impact type stuff (new vids, old low-impact faves, or at least non-jumping, crazy pivoting type movements) then hopefully I'll be more than ready for plyo legs by the time M3 rolls around...I guess we'll see
Kris: I didn't even know what Power Max was, lol. Had to go look it up. I always think I have all of the workouts, then I remember that I've refused to buy "certain" ones over the years. That series wouldn't happen to involve a
step, at all, would it?
Katie: Yes! I felt like Pretty Woman in that suite (umm...except the whole prostitute thing
....and Richard Gere was nowhere to be found
). Every time we walked past the (2!) -insanely priced
- jewelry stores in our hotel, I just kept waiting for DH to go and grab my diamond necklace!
Good luck w/the double shot w/o's, sounds intense (I personally don't get that intense until the weather warms back up, rofl!)....Also, still praying for ya w/the adoption. DH and I have tried on several occasions, but something always falls through
, so I understand how ya feel....
Wendy: Nice to see you back in action w/BR again, and I know you are loving your UGI ball!
Did you hit the casino's this weekend?
Bridget: Congrats on finishing STS, I can't believe how fast it went. If I recall, when I finished the last round, I took off a few days to stretch/recover/etc and then jumped right into the Get Ready For Summer 2010 rotation (using generic breakdown) that landed me right into the Disney RT.
I didn't come up w/too many Achilles friendly w/o's while in PR. Rested mostly. Did some swimming, took a run on the elliptical (they actually had spin classes there that I
really wanted to do, but kept missing - they were @ different times everyday
), I played tennis....
umm....yeah, I know, Achilles
nightmare ....
Erin: Welcome to the group!!! We're excited to have you! We're all doing different things right now. I actually finished my last round of STS back in March/April (can't remember which, lol), and this will be my third time around. I just did disc 1 today, so we'll be right around the same place in the program when you start next week
You're gonna love it!!
