STS Body Rockers (formerly STS New Years Challengers :) - Week of June 19th

So, I just wrote this nice long post and my STUPID COMPUTER messed up and LOST everything I wrote. DANG GONNIT! So, here's the reader's digest version....

No workout for me yet today. After much debate, i've decided to celebrate the end of Meso 2 with a Terminator workout (like I did after Meso 1). I'm thinking Imax Extreme...i've never done that workout because, well, i'm slightly intimidated by it. But i'm a STS Body Rocker now right?!?!? It's time to put my fear aside and get to it (maybe....hopefully.....). :p ;)

Wendy: You knocked that BR w/o right out of the park! yaya! :) I think i'm gonna add that one to my post-STS w/o rotation. So many workouts so little time! :) We are going to St. George's Island which is a barrier island on the Florida panhandle. In theory, it should be a nice, relaxing vacation on the beach. I LOVE Disney though! It's one of my all time favorite places to visit. You're going to have such a great time on your trip in August. Will this be your little one's first time at Disney?

Tracy: Look at you getting up at 5:45 am to workout! Impressive! Actually, what's more impressive is your 20+ mile bike ride at 5:45 am. I don't know if I could handle that.... :) We rented a BIG house on St. George's Island in FL. Here's a link in case you are interested: Plantation Vacation Rental - VRBO 25915 - 6 BR St. George Island House in FL, 1 Sunset Serenity - Bay Front 6BR/3.5BA Pool Dock Sleeps 14 It's in a gated community on the island and i'm very excited about the house in particular. I do plan to w/o on vacation but i'm planning on trying more outdoor cardio activities: swimming laps in the pool, walks on the beach, maybe even renting a bike and riding around the island. I want to keep up with my cardio but I don't want to push myself to hard. I'm also going to try to add in daily yoga and abs. We'll see! :)

Autumn: Great workouts so far this week! I wish Cathe would come out with a Clean Max DVD. I would so clean my house more often if I could clean with Cathe. LOL. I wish the Casey Anthony trial would BE OVER!! It's such a mess. I'm glad the judge FINALLY yelled at the attorneys for all their dirty tricks and games. In my neck of the woods there is a murder trial going on for a guy charged with killing a police officer. It's obviously not on the same scale as the Casey Anthony trial, but it's a huge deal around here. I've got my fingers crossed I don't get stuck with the appeal from the murder trial (I guarantee 100% there will be an appeal) because it's a mess too! Sorry for the rant, I don't know where THAT came from! LOL!

Jen: Imax 2 is tough....way to push through it! It does get easier I promise. Imax 2 was one of my very first Cathe workouts (I definitely would NOT recommend starting with Imax 2 - what the heck was I thinking) and the first time I did it I got about 1/2 way through the genie hops, collapsed in a chair, literally said "this woman is crazy" and turned it off.  The workout never gets easy, but it does get easier and eventually actually becomes fun! I think next year we should ALL plan on going on a roadtrip! I was to scared to go this year, but NEXT year...... we'll see. :)

Bridget: Spinning + STS 3??!?! Way to shock your body! :) Have a GREAT time on your trip! and definitely take a few stretch breaks for your legs. ;)

Kris: YAY for your rest day! Your body is saying "thank you" - haha!

Kiki: Hope you're hanging in there girlie!

Kristin: Have a fantastic weekend!

Melanie: How is your trip going? I hope you're having a great time!

Katie:: OMG I peeked at the link that you posted for Tracy and that house is gorgeous!!! Reminds me of the house we stayed in down in Myrtle Beach when we went for DH's cousin's wedding last October. Mother of the groom paid for 2 huge beach house rentals to house the out of towners from both sides of the family. She got it for a steal since the wedding was off season. Still very nice of her. The bride's side got the nicer house too! ;) We are renting a house when we go to Disney. It's a 4 bedroom home with a pool and hot tub. DH has it saved at home on his computer. I will have to get the link from him to show you. So when do you actually leave to go to FLA and when will you return? A Beachey relaxing vaca is nice but I prefer something in the middle. I like to stay in places where there's beach but also lots to do. For instance, I LOVE Wildwood NJ (beach town w/huge boardwalk/bars/etc) but the thought of staying in a place like LBI doesn't thrill me coz there's very little to do outside of the beach. I like to have choices so I can do or be lazy depending on my mood. :) Yes, this will be DS' first Disney trip. He wants to go in the worst way. He talks about it all the time but we haven't told him we are going yet. We tell him we are going on vacation but don't know where yet. He'll be thrilled when he finally finds out. Not sure how long we will keep it from him. LOL

Good morning! Today I did Intensity..but I was pretty tired this morning. I think the cycling week is catching up with me. But I did it! So thankful when it was done and ovah!:D

Katie: that house looks terrific. I rented a house on VRBO when just my family went to Newport Beach here in CA last year. I was a little nervous about it, but it turned out great. It looks like you are going to have a wonderful time.

fit mommy: I am so glad for you that your DH and DS are going with and you are making it a family vaca for the RT! I am thinking I want my DH to go with me WHEN ;) I go on the next RT. He can just hang out, or whatever I guess.

Well, gotta git....my sister is bringing my DD back (she has stayed with her for the week) and she (sis) has not seen my new house yet, so I better get it picked up because it's a bit messy :eek:

have a great day everyone!

Tracy:: Oh we are not going to Disney in time for the RT. I had suggested it to DH and he agreed but *I* am actually the one that suggested we do it during another week. What was I thinking!?!?:rolleyes::p I have only done bits and pieces of Intensity as of late. I love that work out and need to find time to do it in full again soon! :D

Katie:: I have a friend from the Cathe boards whom I correspond with that is hooked on the Casey Anthony trial. She watches it every day and gives me the scoop! ;)

Last night we went for a walk at a local **lake**. I type **lake** b/c it used to be the city pond but now it is the **lake**, lol. Our little town here is a hoot. It was gorgeous weather y'day and last night... why can't it be that way more often?? I dislike our weather & want to move but no idea where, lol. I think I just like to say it. ;)

KiKi ~ How are you??? Where are you??? I hope you are feeling better!!!

Jeni ~ The C25K is going well!! I need to make a trip to the running store and get fitted for shoes, but I want to be sure I will stick with this. It is fine on my knees but... well, let me just say my pelvic floor isn't what it used to be. I explained to DH I need to run before a large consumption of fluids particularly caffeinated beverages. I love how I feel after though!!

Tracy ~ I can't believe you are finished with Meso 2 already. Did you prefer Meso 2 to 1? That reads funny. ;) I am super excited about the RT but nervous too. I wish I were at my fitness peak, but I am not and just have to embrace that. My SIL is a Cathe RT veteran and says I have no worries. :) If Cathe makes it to Chicago, I would like to go but not sure I'll make it to a NJ RT. But maybe? :)

Bridget ~ I am a SAH(homeschooling)M now. I teach for the community college Nursing program but a very limited basis now. My last position as a clinician was an NP in a family planning clinic, which I thoroughly enjoyed until the last 6 months.

Katie ~ Do yo think we should suggest a CleanMax DVD? LOL!!! I admit I have been sucked into the trial... until y'day. I just pray there is justice whatever the truth is, but I know that isn't always the case. OMG (like Wendy said), I wanna go there!!!!!

Kris ~ Did you enjoy your rest day? What movie did you watch?

Hi Kristin & Melanie!!!

I'll be back in a couple of weeks with my ears on ;):p

fit mommy: I thought you were going to the RT :(... o well you are still going to Disney, so I don't feel too bad for you!!!:D Yes, do the full Intensity indeed and let me know how it goes... it didn't go so well for me today :( I had hoped I'd beat it a little bit better than I did.... Cathe always puts me in my place!

autumn: honestly, I preferred Meso 1, because I felt that Meso 2 had too much wasted time with all the rests, which I loved, but felt more challenged cardiovascularly with M1! And I'll bet you'll do just fine fitness-wise at the RT!!

I simply cannot bear to watch any of the trial...I find it too upsetting :( and disturbing for me..(not that there's anything wrong with watching it...it's just not for me :.I am glad we don't have cable or dish ! :)

Tracy:: Intensity is a butt whooper! It's meant to be so don't feel bad about not "doing it well". You aren't supposed to! :p LOL Yeah don't feel badly for me regarding missing the RT...truth is I don't think I couldn't muster the energy for Disney AND a RT at the same time. Done both before separately and they are arse kickers so to combine would be...OMG!!!!!!!!! LOL But that's not why I am not doing it. The reason is because my son's summer camp program always ends 2-3 weeks prior to school starting so we've needed to ship him off to the grandparents houses to be watched and mean while we would go on vacation in July. It finally dawned on me that this wasn't exactly fair so I suggested that we change it to a week when he needs a sitter anyway and so this is the first year we are going on vacation in August instead and thus missing the RT opportunity. Phew-that was a long-winded explanation huh? Sorry about that! LOL

Hi there ladies - I did Intensity this a.m. too:) I like the mix of that one - it's tough for sure! (and I definitely do not do it well - but we did it Tracy:) I also did AC Pilates.

Autumn - have an awesome time on the trip! Can't wait to hear about it! I know what you mean about moving - I always fall in love with places I visit and think I'd love to live there - but I suspect I'd change my mind in whatever the "off season" was...

Wendy - sounds like you had a great workout - awesome job! The DOMS were/are there from Disc 9 still:)

Katie - Wow, Imax extreme - I haven't tried that one either - let me know how it goes! Ending you Meso with something like that - wow! You're inspiring me! My body did like the rest day - todays workout reminded me that I'd worked my legs hard Wednesday for sure - lol! Your trip will be great:) I love Florida:)

Tracy - You are doing awesome! Great job with the cycling and workouts! Way to go!!! :)

Bridget - Great job with the spin class (5 a.m.!! I'm an early bird for sure, but usually don't start a workout til 6 anyway - and that's in my house  - that's awesome that you get to a class by 5)

Hello Kiki! Hope you're doing well:)

Hi Melanie and Jen!

Hope you all have a great night - talk to you tomorrow!

Good morning ladies:) I wanted to check in before heading out of the house this a.m. - I did 4DS Bootcamp cardio only premix (what's a few more pushups right? lol - forgot about those), then Disc 10 with extended stretch and then AC - Stability ball. Disc 10 felt hard with the increased weight, and felt like it was harder to get equipment sorted out in the time given. Anyway, got it done and probably will be feeling it pretty good later on (starting to feel it already in fact )

Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Saturday Everybody!:)

Today I did PUB and PLB just 'cuz I wanted to!!!:p

itsup2me: that 4DIS bootcamp is tough PLUS? disk 10??? you da woman!! good for you!

I am wondering where and how you are kiki? I hope you are ok.

My DH went on a 3 hr ride today with his buddies, he wanted me to go but I did not want to be the only woman. One of the guys has a wife who is into fitness, so he said she would come along one of these Saturdays in July...I hope so! None of my friends here are into working out...I love them,,,but I wish they were...it is kind of a bummer.

Thanks Wendy! It is the biggest, nicest house we've ever had on the beach. We were only able to get it because of the number of people going. I'm very excited about the house; more so than the beach! :) Honestly beachy vacations aren't my favorite. I'm fair skinned and burn easily so I can't just sit outside on the beach all day. Luckily, my DH is a very active person so we run around quite a bit - boat trips, fishing, scalloping, etc. Luckily i'm not paying that much for this trip, which is why I agreed to go. I absolutely LOVE to travel and, like you, prefer places with more variety. Nonetheless hopefully this trip will be great! We leave tonight - well tomorrow morning - at 3:00 am and we will be back late next Sunday evening.

Yay for Disney! I've been to Disney....5 times? 6 times? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney, which is why I keep going back! Your DS is going to have so much fun! I love that he talks about it all the time but he doesn't even know he's going yet. To cute!!! I can't wait to hear all about it when you all get back!

Hello, Hello! I wanted to check in before I left for vaca! I'll probably be back to sporadic, short posts on my phone. Even if i'm not responding much i'll definitely be reading the check-in daily. I'll need inspiration to make sure i'm getting a little exercise and not stuffing my face all week! :)

Yesterday I did Imax Extreme + AC medicine ball. I actually don't have a medicine ball, so I just used a weight instead. In keeping with the "Terminator" theme, today I did Gauntlet + CCC functional abs. I wasn't going to do abs because that workout wears me out, but I miss counted the rounds so when I thought we had one more round to go Cathe was saying "let's enjoy a nice stretch." Well, I figured since I had already mentally prepared myself for another around of torture i'd throw in some abs instead! :p

Kiki: I hope you're okay!!! We miss you around here.

Tracy: PUB AND PLB?? Yowza lady! :) I did weights today too. SHHHH, if you don't tell I won't tell! :p ;) I hear ya on the lack of friends who enjoy fitness. Most of my friends think i'm nuts for working out so much. Oh well. I do it for me, not them! :) Don't let Intensity get you down. I personally think Intensity and CCC are Cathe's toughest cardio workouts to date. I've only done Intensity a few times because I struggle with it so much. The fact that you can survive Intensity proves how freaking tough you are! :)

Kris: Fantastic workouts today! ANOTHER double? Geez, you and Tracy are making me look like a slacker! :p I can only imagine how many push ups you did today - you're the push up queen! ;) Imax Extreme was fun! I didn't think it was to bad BUT I say that with two caveats: (i) I took a 3 minutes hiatus about 1/4 of the way through because a download I had running at the time screwed up, and (ii) I skipped the C/W compound moves because I knew I wanted to do weights today. I think those two things made the workout slightly easier. It was still tough no doubt, but not as bad as I imagined!

Autumn: YAY for gorgeous weather!! I'm glad you enjoyed spending time at the "lake"? Hehehe! I think the trial stresses me out. The facts of the case in general are just so sad and disturbing and I can't make up my mind about whether I think she did it and then the attorneys were playing annoying, unprofessional little games, AND the legal stuff bugs me (I was yelling at the tv the other day "OBJECT, OBJECT - he can't testify to that"). Let me know how it ends okay? ;) Then again I tend to avoid ANYTHING on tv that is legal related. The courtroom scenes on Law & Order, etc. are such a joke most of the time! :p :)

OH, funny story: so i'm changing clothes this afternoon and I tell DH that i'm starting to actually like my body except for my jelly belly, to which DH responds, "I can really tell a difference since you started working out, your butt isn't fat at all anymore." SIGH. Oh well, at least it isn't fat anymore. :)

Okay gotta get packing!

Katie: gotta love the DH's innocent response :p. But great going that your butt is "not fat at all anymore"!:p:eek: The other day my DH and I were hugging (and of course his hands go..."there") he said:, "what happened to your butt, it's gone!" :) Course I was happy on the one hand, but on the other hand, mine just disappears into oblivion  so I have to do my weights to make sure there is sthg there! Girl, I did not even bother buying the Terminator or the Gauntlett (nor do I have Imax Extreme) dvds. They are wayyy to scary for me... so the fact that you even own them, and what's more: DO them, has me bowing to you... you are the master! And BTW, today is my last weight day...;) I really am going to take a week off starting....tomorrow! So no weights until Monday, July 4th! But I really do feel like I am going to jelly when I don't lift.
Have a great vaca! You will be missed checking in every day if you aren't able to.

Katie
I have owned Terminator for years. It is still in the plastic, haven't ever attempted!

I'm still with my family in buffalo, forgot my sneakers, wanted to workout here.

Driving back to CT tomorrow.
