On the road again... I just can't wait to get on the road again... ;).

I'm actually on the road home & thought I'd checkin :). I'll be back with personals & my RT reflections if I ever get home ;) Let me just say Kiki is GORGEOUS & so is her family!!! She rocked the step just fine. She was quiet in the larger groups but when we were in our small, "introvert club" group she was not. She most certainly could have auditioned!! Oh and she is so right about Amanda, who is perfection!!

I did pick Cathe's brain & shared my goals (wt. loss), limitations, etc. My plan is 4 kick my arse workouts per week plus clean eating. I'll checkin since y'all will put up with me ;), but my li'l Diva is starting to roll & is super close to crawling which will be keeping me busy.

Kiki ~ LOVE your profile pic!! Tried to change mine to Cathe, li'l Diva & me but can't from iPhone. :-/

Toodles..

Welcome back lady! Yea, I love that pic of you, Cathe, & li'l Diva! You gotta get right on that WHENEVER you finally get home. :p (btw, how ya likin my black and white ? ;)

ETA: speaking of our introvert club, guess what?! DH just came home and said that while driving to work this morning, he saw a billboard ad (w/pic!) for the introvert club's very own," Lthepoet"! (she's a Dr in our area remember? The ad was for her family practice :p) How crazy is that? He was with one of his employees, & was like, "hey, I just met that woman at my wife's fitness thing!" (the employee looked @ him like he was crazy, rofl).

first of all, kiki, i love your avatar...and i was able to pick u out for sure at the RT... u are beautiful!! i understand dog hating...i love my lu-lu but when i had to take care of MILs dog...i was ashamed at all the ugliness coming out of me...he peed over everything too and was a big dumb lumox.

second of alll....no WO today...my world has been rocked! i went on my bike ride last nite, took a turn too fast and ended up on the ground. fell on my shoulder. i had just passed a lady jogger who came upon me afew min. later who asked me if i was ok while i was writhing in pain, still laying on rt shoulder, w/ rt side of face in dirt, gravel..."uh no :( '" i had to lay in that position for at least 25 min while EMTs came and made sure i was not paralyzed . my DH finally came too. i had told him my route but he was in shower at first when lady called him. sooo much pain!! i broke my upper arm (humerus) a few inches below th ball socket joint. they cd not cast it because of location so i am in a sling. i am hoping that by the end of next week i will be able to do low impact careful squats and lunges, etc.. walking and lift weights w/ my left arm.

i apologize for the lack of capitals etc... i am only able to use left hand and i am a rt-y. i am so sad that i canno t keep up my fitness regimen, but am staying positive, believing things happen for good :).

though i haven't met you all personally... i love you and have been so blessed by you and your willingness to share. you really are a precious group of women...i am not planning on leaving...i wd hate that!!! but will just see what happens.

blessings on you.

Oh no Tracy!! That's horrible, I'm so sorry that happened to you:( I will pray for you and will be thinking positive positive thoughts that you heal quickly, ((((hugs)))) Take care of you!

Kris

Tracy: OMGosh! I'm so sorry. That's so sad, my whole fam said a prayer for you. Don't worry about your one handed typing, or lack of being able to exercise, we'll accept any chatter at all from you! After all, y'all have put up w/my rambling posts & abrupt/non-proofread iPhone posts, forever ;)

Awww, I suppose I'll have some company now on the injured bench :( . I'm hoping you heal real soon...

(((((((((((((TRACY)))))))))))))))))

OMG  I am soooo sorry this happened to you! Not fair! :(:(:(

Like Kiki said, whatever posts you can muster are fine so long as we hear how you are doing through this!!!

Sending the biggest healing vibes possible your way!

Sorry again! I feel so badly for you, you poor thing.:(

well, i just looked at my w/o mgr, and see that i only had 9 more sts to go. but, i guess this can give me sthg to look fwd to, because after i am healed i will give it a go and start sts all over again...but i am not so sure about the outdoor riding ever again. i never ever got seriously injured in all my years of working out in my home. and i never want to go through this again. i don't want to be a tough girl if it means breaking bones!!! lots of pain today. you would not think that you need your shoulder or arm to do the smallest simplest things, like scoochong over in bed an inch...this can be excrutiating.

i am still dealing w/ the realization that i will be losing some of my fitness gains. Even though i don't recall being totally inactive (walking), i still did not have the muscle tone or cardio ability that i have worked hard to gain since oct. of last year when i got tired of being heavier than i like. weight lifting and amped up cardio has been great for my body as opposed to just walking, which is better than nothing...but not effective for me...my butt was still big!

a couple of my friends are over cleaning my floors and my girls'bathroom...they are so sweet....my DH went for a ride this am with his buddies...it must hv bn a long one...they must hv gone at least 35 mi today. i did not want him to go because "We will be up a creek w/out a paddle if you do this (fall seriously)..then we will both be layin' in this bed moaning and crying." of course, he still went .

well, i hope you got some good w/o on today so i can sweat vicariously thru you.

Oh Ms. Tracy i'm so so sorry to hear about your accident!! That's awful. :( I'm just glad someone was able to find and help you quickly!! I've got lots a prayers going up for you and your arm. I totally agree with everyone else, we don't care if you do one lick of exercise (and you probably shouldn't for awhile) we still want you to check-in with us IF you feel up to it! Heck, even if you're just telling us your were tapping your toes to Glee while sitting on the couch, we'll take it! :p We always love hearing from you!

Any idea on the healing time frame for your arm? Do you think in a few weeks you'll be able to start incorporating low impact cardio? Maybe an easy step routine with no risers? The good news is you're body is going to adjust back to it's fabulous shape likety split once you can get back to your regular workouts!

If there is ANYTHING at all I can do to make you feel better please just let me know!! I hate that you're in pain. Now go prop your feet up and let that arm heal. :)

Well, today I suffered through Imax 3. It was rough...the last few weeks have been hard on my cardio capacity. After the 4th blast I got overheated, extremely nauseated, and slightly dizzy. Part of it was the heat (I forgot to crank the AC prior to starting my w/o) and part of it was my failure to properly hydrate before starting the w/o. Sadly the nausea stayed with me so I had to lower the intensity quite a bit for the rest of the w/o. I actually stuck my head in the freezer a few times to cool off.  After I finished Imax 3 (and laid on the floor for 5 minutes attempting to catch my breath), I did abs + stretch max. Both felt great! I'm pretty sore from this past week's STS w/o and SM was just the ticket I needed.

I really enjoyed reading all of ya'lls animal stories! It's nice to know my silly cat isn't the only one who likes to hang around during workouts. :)

Autumn: YAY I'm so glad you're still going to check-in with us! I hope you made it home safe. I can't wait to hear all your thoughts about the RT too!! That's so great that you were able to pick Cathe's brain about your workout routine. What a gem. :) If you get a spare second you should DEFINITELY change your avatar to the picture of you, Cathe, and your lil' Diva. I bet it's fabulous!

Kiki: I LOVE LOVE LOVE your avatar! Gorgeous! :) Thanks sooooo much for all your insights about the RT. They have been extremely helpful. I know I have a whole another year before I have to decide about going on a RT, but because my DH and I are considering some family changes I have to start planning now if i'm going to attend a RT next summer (which is why i'm asking a thousand questions). Is the bulldog fiasco still going on? I have to admit I laughed a tinie tiny bit at your post. :p I feel your pain though. I dog sit for my parents a couple of times a year and, though I love their dogs, they tend to chase my cats, pee on everything, and cause general chaos. Not cool!

Wendy: You're workout from yesterday sounds awesome, and extremely tough! Way to go! :) I'm glad you're enjoying your new Boss Timer. I've thought about getting one of those too (for running sprints...if I ever decide to start running again) and it's great to hear a good review from another Cathelete!

Kris: I love the SM band w/o too! I actually did it today because you mentioned it! Thanks for that! ;) :p Great job with the LIC premix! That's a fun one. I hope Disc 13 goes well for you today! I know I was bitting at the chomp to get back to weights too after both of my rest weeks. Get ready to kick some butt in Meso 2! :) I found Ellen Barrett on fittv too! If you've got Netflix, there are several Crunch workouts featuring Ellen that you can watch instantly. They are similar to the w/os she had on fittv and I really enjoy them one I need an easier day.

Bridget: Disc 9 is definitely a tough one!! Almost everyone says it's the toughest leg workout in Meso 1 (and I completely agree). I always did the bonus leg sections. In general most of the bonus segments involved floor work which I tend to enjoy. But if you're short on time, no worries! You're still getting a fantastic leg workout even without the bonus sections.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Katie

Hi there:)

(((Tracy))) - hope you heal soon. I think it'll be great for you to check in as you can - I think that will keep your motivation up and checking in with people who care about you can be nothing but good:)

Katie - Great job on Imax 3 !! (i haven't attempted that yet - though I do have it...) Thanks for letting me know about Netflix and the EB workouts:) I'll have to check that out! I'm glad it helped you that I mentioned the Band SM:) I really do just love that one:)

Hi Bridget, Wendy, Autumn and Kiki:)

I did Disc 13 this a.m. - very different from Meso 1 (much less scrambling to change equipment) - it was a great workout, I think I'll have some shoulder and tricep DOMS tomorrow:) I admit I kind of missed the "cardio" aspect of Meso 1, the rest periods seemed loooong but this is about shocking the body - so we'll go with it:) (reminding self, my way hasn't really panned out to my satisfaction so far...)

Have a great night everyone:)

Kris

**peeking in over my mountain of laundry**

That is today's workout... LaundryMax. :(:p We got home after midnight last night... drove straight home.

Tracy ~ (((((Gentle Hugs)))) I'm sending healing wishes your way and praying for a speedy, uneventful recovery!!! Take care of yourself, visit us when you can, and jump right back in the checkin when you are ready. :)

Kris ~ It was awesome picking Cathe's brain!! I'll tell you more about my impressions when I get back here with my RT thoughts... if I get passed my laundry.:rolleyes:

Kiki ~ Thank you for the welcome "home". :) Hey, did you get the instagram app? Photoshop? Both? Fun, fun with photos. :) I've been playing with my filters on my Disney pics b/c my 3G iPhone camera just needs some help. My DH has a 4G and the camera is so much better... of course he could take a photo with a polaroid and it would be art... he's a brat. :p;) That is carazy about seeing "Lthepoet" on the billboard... such a small world. I found "L" on Facebook. :)

So ladies, Cathe rec'd 4-1 hour workouts per week that should leave me feeling like I couldn't do another... what do you think I should do? 4 day split? The 4 workouts from the new series? OMGosh, decision, decisions.

Disc 10 today- biceps, chest & shoulders, and they all hurt- for that matter, my legs & butt still hurts from disc 9 2 days ago.

I had a party today with my friends from work- a going away party, it is sad because my closest friends work there with me, I was there 11 years, and it still doesn't feel like I'm going. My new job will be an adventure for sure, but it is sad to go.

Tracy- I am so sorry about your accident! Please concentrate on healing, the workouts will be there after you are healed. Do you have a wedding coming up? Will you still be in a sling?

Kiki- are you making peace with the bulldog?

Kris- Meso 2 sounds like something I will be looking forward to soon!

Katie- I own IMAX3- another one I own that I haven't done! I downloaded it during a special- I've been getting my cardio from the spinning, so I haven't felt the need as of yet- good tip on the AC & hydration before doing- I love IMAX 2.

Autumn- welcome back, enjoy Laundry Max...

Wendy- I am glad you didn 't warn me that disc 9 is a killer- I actually went into the workout feeling strong, then BAM! Don't warn me about discs 11 & 12...
