Struggling with flexibility and need help.

I am 30, mom of three, who for the most part has always been involved with some type of physical activity. I cheered as a teenager, spent allot of time doing martial arts in my early 20's, on top of cycling on and off of weight training programs. Through all of this I have never been able to really gain the flexibility I desire. I have purchased stretching books from which I would spend an hour a day on the examples and used a physical therapist/ chiropractor and yet I still find it hard. I am currently back weight training but this time around I would really like to see a difference not only in my tone and strength but also in my flexibility. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could accomplish this?

I forgot about Bosu. it is really hard to balance on. i tried it and could not balance on it. i am still recovering from a foot injury so thats part of the reason. its very expensive

I just got Rodney Yee's Yoga Burn. I like his yoga stuff. Yoga Burn is so great for flexibility. My problem is trying to fit yoga into my workout schedule on a consistent basis. I try to add it on my rest day.

I like Patricia Walden. I think she's done one or two with Rodney Yee. It's Iyengar yoga - I like it a lot.

But remember - some people are way flexible and some are way not flexible. Be careful! =]
