Strength in Numbers

Monday I did Live Cardio Circuit Mashup! It was a lot of fun. It was kind of like a higher impact Afterburn but without all the repetition. Tuesday, I slept in a little and then did Live Steptastic which was a good step workout but probably not one that I would return to. Poor Cathe always gets messed up when she tries to put the combos together at the end. She needs someone to hold cue cards for her. After that, I took DH to his appointment. He had 6 trigger point injections in his back and they scheduled him to come back in a month and either get more or get one in his sacroiliac depending on which is more painful.

Cheryl Great job on YR + mowing and RWH LI 2 + core 1 and your walk! That was good of you to turn it in. I wonder if since it is the police they have a way of figuring out who it belongs to. Ozzie doesn’t normally run and hide from baths although for some reason this time he did run. Once we got a treat he was good to go though so maybe it was a trick. He does great in baths. He just stands there and doesn’t try to get out or anything.

Janie Great job on your climber! I bet that helps to watch tv while doing it to help it seem like it goes by faster or easier.

Pam Great job on Imax 3! At least it is a fun one you repeated in two weeks. I hear you on the work week going slower and slower and the weekends flying by. Even yesterday seemed to fly by.

Julie Great job on live Cardio circuit mashup. It sounds like a really fun one! Great job on steptastic too, I love the name. It sounds like it would be a little frustrating trying to follow Cathe if she is getting messed up on the combos. Oh your poor DH, sounds like his back is really giving him problems.

This morning for me was Afterburn and I added in Icy Core 2. I was going to do Julies favorite double trouble premix, but I wanted the extra 3 minutes of rests :D Have a great day!

Julie Good work on Live Cardio Circuit Mashup and Live Steptastic. I wonder if she has cue cards when she does her DVDs. I bet it would be easy to get mixed up while filming. Poor DH I am assuming that he has bad back pain? Nice that Ozzie likes baths but funny that he tried to run this time.

Tuesday was 4DS Bootcamp cardio only and in the evening I went dragon boating. It was a really nice night and then we all went for a beer afterwards. This morning was Cardio Supersets and in the afternoon I went for a walk.

Been speed walking on the beach, yoga and climber. Seems I can't get into a rotation yet. I will soon though. It's so hot and muggy today and yesterday. Have a sheen too! LOL!

Pam, Great job on Afterburn and the addition of Icy Core 2. Yes, crystal bread has holes in it as well as see through (for lack of a better word) membranes that you can see through. Mine is not there yet, but it will eventually.

Janie Great job speed walking on the beach, yoga, and your climber. You are being active, that is all that matters. You'll do a rotation when you are ready. I don't know what crystal bread is supposed to look like, but I thought yours looked delicious!

This morning for me was GS Back, shoulders, and biceps. I have been feeling really weak with my weight workouts. My last rotation was pretty light on the weights, so maybe that is why. Cathe uses pretty heavy weights in GS too, which always makes me feel wimpy! have a great day!

Last night I did a Lift Weights Faster workout. It was the same one I did last week and had no energy while doing it. I had more energy last night so that was a plus. I woke up in the middle of the night and thought that it was Friday the next day. Such a bummer to be a day ahead.

Pam Great job on AB + Icy Core 2! I ‘m impressed with the added core work. I always think AB gets the core pretty good with the mountain and spiderman climbers. It’s funny but on a lot of the step combos, Cathe forgets the next move but I seem to remember so I keep going until I realize a few steps later she has stopped and is having everyone do jacks until she gets her mind back in the groove. Great job on GS BSB! The GS are tough because she uses heavy weight and really doesn’t leave much rest time in between (maybe 10-20 seconds if that).

Cheryl Great job on 4DS BC cardio only and dragon boating then CSS and your walk! I have seen her use cue cards for some of the weight work. Occasionally the camera man will scan the front mirror and you can see she has a big piece of paper like one of those easel charts with the exercises on it. Not sure if she does for filming. DH has been having back pain for a while. He went to physical therapy but didn’t stick with it. I am trying to get him to do it every night after my workout by doing it with him. Adds on time but it will be worth it if he can get better.

Janie Great job on your beach speed walking, yoga, and climber workouts! Sounds like that is the perfect rotation for you right now to do what you can and have fun with it.

Last night was Live Imax. It was a good workout but near as hard as the DVDs. It was only 44 minutes and I counted 7 intervals but Cathe said 8 so it was shorter but not as intense. It was still a good workout but probably not one that I will do again. Cathe messed up a few of the step segments which made for a clunky start to the interval.

Julie Great job on LWF, I'm glad to hear that you had more energy. That is such a bummer thinking it is Friday and then having reality hit. Probably because of the 4 day work week last week. I'm weird about the core work. Even if the workout has a lot of exercises that work the core, I don't feel like I have worked my core unless it is officially labeled core work. That is good that you can keep going with the combos when Cathe forgets.

This morning was the original Boot Camp for me. Another oldie but goodie that I hadn't done in awhile. The cardio sections felt harder than I remembered them. I used to always skip through the extra breaks that she takes, but I was enjoying them today! Happy Friday!

Taking long speed walks on the beach. One of them was an hour. And doing yoga, until I feel strong enough to do a rotation.

Pam, Great job on Boot Camp. I really like this one as well.

Janie Don't worry about not doing a rotation, walking on the beach and doing your climber are workouts. It has been hot and muggy here too.

So yesterday morning was 4DS Bootcamp cardio only. Then I got all the housework done. Our friends mother is still in hospital but got moved to another one because she is going to have surgery to try and clear the blockage. After dinner we went to see her before her surgery and because the surgery was going to be done late in the evening our friends asked if we could walk their dog. Sure no problem we said. So before we go home we decided to get ice cream from the park that is near us. As we were sitting down to enjoy our ice cream a person in a pokemon outfit ran by us followed by several other people. I guess they were playing that new pokemon go game :rolleyes:. So we get home and go over to walk Lucy a big golden retriever. Well easier said than done. We are Lucy's favorite people for coming over to get treats and some petting but we are not the people to take her to go poop. We tried and tried but there was no way she was going to do anything for us. So I got to bed late and then Taylis decided that 6am was an appropriate time to wake me up to feed him. I am so glad that X10 Step was on tap today because I didn't have much energy for anything else.

This Saturday I did Strength Training for Fat Loss and then shampooed the carpets and ran errands. I was exhausted by the end of the day. Sunday was Live Step On It and being lazy (although I think I may have earned it this time). Step On It was a good steady state step workout. Cathe only messed up a little so it is one worth repeating without getting frustrated with the amount of bloopers.

Pam Great job on original BC! That is a toughie. Those terminator climbers are hard.

Cheryl Great job on 4DS Bootcamp cardio! I hope the surgery goes well. I thought about trying to get my DH into the Pokemon Go game to get him into walking but I am not sure it would do any good with where we live. A town of 400 people surrounded by corn fields for 20 miles in any direction probably doesn’t have too many Pokemons waiting to be found. Hopefully Lucy was a good girl and held it until her parents could get home. So sorry about Taylis getting you up early. Glad you were able to have a shorter workout on tap with X10 Step!

Cheryl Great job on 4DS BC cardio and housework. Sorry to hear your friends mom has to have surgery, I hope that all goes well with it. That pokemon game is crazy. We were at a restaurant for dinner on Friday night and the guy at the next table had his phone open looking for them the whole time they were there. It's good that it's making some people be active, but it's also making some people do crazy things. I just don't get it! Uh oh, sounds like Lucy was a bit of a problem, I hope you were able to get her to do her business! IDK, I think I need a lot of energy for X10 Step. It may be short, but it is go go go!

Julie Great job on STFL, shampooing the carpets and your errands. Great job on Live Step on it too, you definitely did earn it!

Friday we went and skiied in the afternoon and then had dinner and a concert. We saw Ray LaMontagne and he is really mellow. My DH said it was like watching grass grow :rolleyes:. On Saturday I did GS Legs and then spent most of the day running around. Sunday was my rest day, but I cleaned my oven, sprayed the lawn, and did some shopping. My niece was in town so I had her, her son, my 2 sisters, my nephew, and my mom over for dinner. This morning was Cardio super sets and I did the premix that adds step since it is a short one without it. Happy Monday!

Last night was Live Hooked on Legs. It was a really good workout. Cathe went at a reasonable pace to where you could feel the muscle being worked but your heart rate was up the whole time. My legs were burning and tired by the end.

Pam That name sounds familiar but I don’t know that I really know him. That doesn’t sound like an exciting time to watch grass grow. Although if you are looking to mellow out that would be a way to do it. Great job on GS Legs! You got a lot done on Sunday plus getting to spend time with your family. Great job on CSS plus Step!

Julie Great job on LHL, it sounds like a good one! Are you feeling like the live workouts are worth the cost? I really didn't knw Ray LaMontagne either. Our friends are big fans and told us they thought we would love him. I thought it was fine, but DH was not impressed!

This morning was STS Total Body, another one I hadn't done in ages. I noticed though that it is on the calendar twice this week and then again twice the week after next. I may have to do some subbing because I don't really like doing the same workout so many times. Have a great day!

Last night was Live For Love of Cardio. It was a good workout. Lots of variety. Probably one I would do again but not a favorite. It was more steady state than high intensity which was good because my legs were sore from Monday’s leg bonanza.

Pam Great job on STS TB! Oh yeah, that would be boring to do the same workout twice in one week. Surely Cathe has several total body workouts to choose from. I definitely think the live workouts are worth the price. It is only $12 a month for 4 new workouts plus you have access to all the old workouts. One word of caution, I would say the Lives are a little less intense and advanced than the DVDs. Only because she stops for water breaks which you don't get in the DVDs. The moves are still the same though. I paid for the OnDemand service too but haven’t used it much to see whether it is worth keeping. I have it until March of next year so we will see if I get more use out of it once I catch up on all the old Lives.

Janie Great job on your speed walking, climber, and yoga workouts. Sounds like you have found a great rotation of activities that fits your needs.

Julie Great job on LLC. You just may tempt me into getting the live workouts one of these days. I don't think the TV that we have in my workout room will be able to play them though, because it is an old TV with no internet connection. I do like the idea of new workouts all the time...

This morning for me was Crossfire. I was a little concerned about having enough energy for it because DH had to get up at 4 for a 6 am flight, but it was no problem at all. It ceratinly wasn't a cake walk, but it seemed easier than I remembered. Have a great day1

Janie That is awesome that you performed solo at a coffee shop. I bet you felt great that you did it. Good work on your speed walk on the beach.

So Saturday I went dragon boating and Sunday I decided to have a lazy day and not do anything. Late Sunday night our friends mother passed away. Things seemed to be going good after the operation but she went into cardiac arrest Friday night and then was admitted to the ICU. I guess with her cancer and the blockage it was too much for her to handle. It has been sad around here in our townhouse complex as a lot of people knew her. Monday I decided that I needed harder workouts to deal with stress than what July's rotation was giving me so I changed to the November 2015 rotation. Monday I did Cardio Leg Blast Tuesday was PRS #2 and dragon boating and this morning was Muscle Max. I hadn't done that one in a long time.

This morning for me was MMA KB. I don't really like that one very much, but I was having inspiration issues trying to come up with a sub, so I just did it. It was ok for a change, but not one I ever choose to do. I was thinking it had the turtle spins, so I was bummed when I realized it doesn't! Oh well, it went by quickly. Have a great day!
