Still Steppin w/ Christi Taylor

I just got the Fantastic Four and did part of this yesterday and part of it today, trying to learn all the moves. I really like it and LOVE the music!! I wish Cathe had music like this. Do all of Christi's workouts have such good music?

Yes, they do! Christi works long and hard to get rights to the songs she wants, that is a huge reason why she doesn't tape more often. From what she has posted in the past, getting music finalized is the most time consuming and costly part of her preparations.

Volare...whoa whoa...:D

And yet her DVD's are so cheap... I got the Fantastic Four for $10 and free shipping from deepdiscount.com. How can she make any money like that?

I like her workouts too...I paid full price for all my dvd's from her, but I bought mine from her website.

I paid about $26.00 something for each one.

My favorite is Hi/lo heaven, however it does get a bit long at times. Her back up guys are kind of annoying...esp the one that keeps messing up the whole time. I like her workouts, and the music is great but if you do them a lot they get old very quickly.
:)

I have the Fantastic Four and can't seem to get myself to do any of them. I also think the background exercisers are really annoying as everyone seems to be doing her own thing. The step workouts do look fun... maybe someday I will get over it!

I have Totally Cool Step, and I love the music to it; Christi often also sings her cues to the music. I orderd The Fantastic Four from Ebay as well as Solid Gold Step, which may be a little foolish as I still haven't learned every step combo from TCS. I fid Christi's choreography to be much more complicated than Cathe's.

Cathe's later workouts, in my opinion, have much better music, and I like the music from Imax's 2 and 3, and Low Max. The Bon Jovi music in Imax 3 really gets me into the "zone," and I feel as if I could fly.

I have all of Christy's workouts. Her workouts are great along with the music. I usually find myself singing through the workout and singing the songs throughout the day!

Yes, her choreography is harder to learn, but she is the one I first stuck it out with - even though I got frustrated with it. I saw the big advantage of sticking to learning it all. For I still love her workouts today - her newer ones are a bit easier in the choreography, though.

My favorite by far is Step Heaven. Cardio Collectibles (newer) is great, but I find the step portion not long enough (38 in.), then on to high low. I generally like my step tapes 55 minutes not including the cool down.

Christy has great high low combinations in her workouts.

I have several of Chrisi's workouts and I love them. Hi Lo Heaven is a favorite -- 80 minutes of pure sweat. I have only done 2/3 of Step Heaven and still have Still Steppin and Still Jumpin to look forward to.

It does take a while to master all the combos in her workouts, but I have found you can still work up a great sweat while in the learning process. Nobody cues better than she does! And the music is always fun.

Cathe and Christi are my 2 favorites, hands down. When you complete a workout by either of them, you know you have given your body a real treat!

I really like Christi Taylor as well. Totally Cool Step is my favorite right now with Step Heaven as a close second. The music she chooses is right out of my 'era', lots of stuff from Motown and the '70s and '80s. Yes, her choreography is complex but once you learn it the workout just flies by. It's just that much fun. As far as intensity, I burn as many or more calories as compared to Cathe's pure step DVDs.

I'm totally amazed by her cuing. She can cue for both the front exercisers and the modifiers in the back without skipping a beat.

I like Christi Taylor - I got some of her step workouts along with a couple by Patrick Goudeau, and she's easier to follow. Always love her music! I going to do one of her workouts this morning, as a matter of fact.
