Step Jam!!!!

Cathlete
I got my second Cathe video on Tuesday - Step Jam!!!! I have done it twice (the first time without the step, in order to avoid killing myself) and it is so much fun! Seems a little more complicated than Step Heat, which is fine with me, I am ready for it!

I only tripped over my step twice this morning doing it. :)

Step Works is on its way to me next, I can't wait. I've been trying to increase my workouts to 1 hour and Cathe's tapes are just perfect for that. She obviously puts so much effort into her workouts - even the warmups are interesting and fun (actually her warmups and cooldowns are some of my favorite parts).

Anyone else LOVE Step Jam??

I love Step Jam too. You will also love Step Works. Step Works was my first Cathe tape about 3 or 4 years ago and I remember thinking -this lady is really great!!!! I've been hooked ever since.

Hi Kay,

I also love Step Jam! I even like what Cathe calls the "hillbilly music." I think Step Jam is pretty tough, I fell off the step the first time I did it. I also like it because it builds nicely, not too repetitive, so not boring, but easy to do if you want to not "think" too much. Have Fun!!!

RE: I luv step jam 2!!!!

Yep, this is one of my favorite step tapes, only second to Step Works and Rhythmic Step, which are tied for first. I love the finale in section three right after Cathe says "Oh my gosh," and puts all of the parts together. It is just so fun!

P.S. Just keep doing it so the choreography sinks in. That is what I did with Step Works. Every Tuesday for 2 months. By the end of the first 3 or 4 weeks, I didn't trip, fall, or bruise. It is such a fun tape. Enjoy! Cathe rocks! (And so do we for trying to keep up with her)!

Step Jam was my first Cathe tape. I did it once, sweating buckets, and that was it - all my Firms went out the window (or actually out in trades ;-) ) You will love Step Works too - it's so much fun!

You will LOVE Step Works. That was my first Cathe step tape. The hardest stepping I had done was with the firm before that. I remember how I had such a time with over-face-in-over. I finally got it. Then later I got the tape where she teaches that move (it was an earlier tape) and I thought well gee, guess I'm pretty talented to have figured out step works without benefit of previous Cathe experience!
pssst - if you don't already have it, order rhythmic step!

My husband really thinks I'm strange for being addicted to workout videos. :) But as I pointed out to him, in the long run a few videos are MUCH cheaper than the cost of being incredibly out of shape!!!

Now I am going to have to get Rhythmic Step too! Joy, I am going to blame it all on you when hubby sees yet another video arriving in the mail!!!

Have your husband call mine - he cringes when he sees a brown cardboard box on the steps. He says, "Don't you have all of Cathe's tapes by now!?!" I ordered myself the Intensity Series for Christmas and then said, "Oh thank you honey, this is the nicest gift you've ever given me." He must think I do drugs. Have fun!

I think that Step Jam is probably one of my favorite cardio tapes. The way it's structured, the moves, etc., they're just so FUN - I always end up reaching for this tape!

I finally completed Step Jam myself without any problems, and loved it. I want to try Rhythmic Step next. Is that more difficult to learn, or should I try Step Works next?

LAST EDITED ON Nov-29-02 AT 03:15AM (Est)[p]Hi - I have read some different opinions in regard to the difficulty (choreography-wise) about Rhythmic Step and Step Works. IMO, Rhythmic Step is choreographically quite challenging (Cathe's toughest, choreography-wise). Step Works last section is pretty challenging as well (and the first part is somewhat challenging) so Step Works is IMHO a notch or two down from RS - these are just my personal experiences, however. Again, YMMV. :)
