So I said my least favorite Cathe DVD was...

...Boot Camp. And for some reason this morning, I decided to revisit it, and I humbly take back what I said. I (insert embarrassed look here) actually ENJOYED it. Maybe sometimes you just have to grow into things, or I just wasn't ready for the physical challenge when I got this last spring, but I liked it this morning!

Man, those cardio drills are killers. I had to march in place during a few of them!! But I feel really worked out by the end. I haven't really incorporated circuit workouts into my fitness regime but after this I totally think I need to. What a good challenge!

So with that said, out of all the Cathe DVDs I own, I can no longer claim to dislike one. :)

good to know!

I just got this one (and two others) in the mail today and planned on doing the Bootcamp tonite! :D Hopefully I will be as happy!

thanks for the update :)

No need to be embarassed!! I loathed Basic Step when I first got it, now I view it as a challenge. It will never be my favorite, but I don't dread it, either. I view it as a sign of improvement when we enjoy videos we once couldn't stand.

There was nothing wrong at all with Basic Step from a production standpoint, what caused me to dislike it was the fact that I couldn't get the moves, now I can...at least a little, anyway.

That's why I always buy Cathe's whole production series in the first wave of the presale, regardless of whether I think I'll immediately like and use everything in it. Very many times, a Cathe release has gathered dust on my shelf for months and then I'll rediscover it and it - or parts of it - become integral parts of my ongoing program.

Keep at the cardio drills! I too found at least a couple almost impossible to complete at first (actually, at least three of the cardio sets), but if you plug away at it you'll get more powerful and you'll succeed!

BC is a toughie!!! I am glad you retried it. I agree with AJ those drills are hard, just keep at it. Sometimes when I do BC and lie on the floor for abs I don't want to get back up :p:confused::eek:

LMAO! That's exactly why I always do the "everything but core" premix--cuz I know if I lie down to do those abs my butt is going to stay on the floor! Luckily, I've always managed to add on the "core only" at the end....

That's smart Allison!! I did one day just lay there for a few minutes all sprawled out and defeated :p I finally got back up and continued

Thanks, guys for all the encouragement! :) I definitely plan to keep at it until I master it now.

I can't remember what Cathe called that one cardio drill, but it's where you hop down to the floor, do a mountain climb, then pop back up? UGH! I started laughing halfway through it because I was *so*behind Cathe and the crew! LOL! Oh, yeah, and then all those jumps after the ice breakers...let's just say I watched more of those than I did them...

And yes, hitting the floor for abs and staying there sounds like a BRILLIANT idea to me!! :)

I am sad to say that I've had this dvd for nearly a year and have never done the BC workout only the ME which I love. I don't know why, I mean I've done DM, HSTA, HSC, can it be harder than those? I just need to do it.;)

Terminators,I think? Down, out, scissor, scissor, out, in and up!

Boot Camp is fun, but it hurts my knees. I enjoy it every now and again, but prefer more intense weight work and a different type of cardio. I wish I had better knees and elbows...

I had seen this workout on FitTv, purchased it but never did it until I was doin' a rotation. Yep I totally agree, I got through until I had to climb those mountains. I cursed and cussed (but in a good way) and wondered what Cathe had in THAT peanut butter.

Do the terminator climbers on the high step with a couple of risers on it. It makes it a bit easier than going all the way to the floor. Then lower the step as you get used to them. Or just keep the step that way if you like it that way ;)

I love when you get a WO that you used to dislike & all the sudden you get it & love it. That just happened to me with Rhythmic Step, now it's like I have a whole new WO again. And it's already paid for!!

I just ordere RS from Advanced DVDs and can not wait to get it. I hope it gets here by the weekend!!

I hope I learn to love Drill Max!

I did Drill Max for the first time a couple of weeks ago and just didn't love it! I wanted to ... and I've done all of the drills when I do Cardio Fusion, which I do love. So what's the problem?

I got sick the day after I did the video, so maybe I wasn't feeling energetic enough. Maybe it's because I found so many of the exercises difficult to perform. I don't know. I'll give it another chance.

Boot Camp is no problem, however. After all, you can do anything for one minute!
:D

Oooooh, great idea! I will try this when I do this workout again this week! Thank you! :)

I really need to start checking out the premixes:eek: I rarely do BC because I did not like getting down on the floor after cranking my heart rate up during the cardio. This is why I like the BC w/o in 4DS better where you do all the cardio drills first.

Another great one when you're short on time is the Bootcamp cardio and lower body only premix. Since a lot of the lower body stuff has the cardio factor already, this is a nice and quick cardio and toning workout.

Ooooh! Great idea! I might do that premix tonight!
