So, how's YOUR week been??

Sunday...TV and computer destroyed by a lightening bolt...you just don't realize how much you miss something until you no longer have them!!

All was not lost, though...I remembered I had purchased a portable DVD player, so I could still do my workouts...which I sorely needed!!

Monday...DW and her cousin leave for a 2 night girls' getaway..original plan was to hang after work with my cat and watch some TV, which is kind of hard to do at this point because I no longer have said TV...Backup plan...hang on the computer a while...oops, not an option, either.

Tuesday...Purchased a new computer, and never realized I had owned a dinosaur of a computer..had previous one for 7 years...I love this new toy!!

Maintenance man at work offers me a used TV until I can hook up with DW and go TV shopping over the weekend...TV will not fit in my car..I sure hope no one youtube'd the obscenity fest which followed....I was most pleased that I was able to lift the TV rather easily..thanks for the strength increase, Cathe!!

Tuesday night....

return home from work, talk to DW..she's dining on steak and champagne with her cousin...decide to call it a night since that thing about no TV once again comes into play..and I'm kind of tired after wrestling with the used TV from earlier...

So, I plop into bed...AND LIE RIGHT INTO THE MOTHER OF ALL WATERY HAIRBALLS IN THE HISTORY OF ALL MANKIND!!!! Soaked right through to the mattress pad...as luck would have it, found another set of sheets, threw them on the bed (after a heart 2 heart with a certain cat...he finally came over this morning to suck up and hang with me..nice kitty kitty)

At least DW will be home today!! It's only Wednesday...what fun lies ahead later this week?? Time to take the comforter out of the dryer...:)

I can't help but wonder..would all this have happened if I went on the RT?? Or stayed in the Tri-Stater group??? At least the Fairfield wouldn't have allowed cats!!

Sometimes, you just gotta laugh at yourself to keep a tiny semblance of sanity!!

Well, Saturday BF's grandfather passed away suddenly. I had that entire day planned for a birthday celebration for him (baseball game, dinner, hotel room, the whole nine yards). So we obviously didn't do any of them. While we were driving home I started crying, because I had put so much time and money into that night, and it was all going to waste.... THEN I realized, OMG I'm such a b!tch, BF just lost his grandfather, and I'm crying about something so petty and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. So that made me cry even more!!

So it's been a sad week, planning funeral stuff and getting the estate in order :( Poor BF isn't going to have a good birthday, poor thing.

But on a lighter note, I am going to Harrisburg, PA (six hour drive, ugh!) to see my brand new (and first!) niece! Sooo excited!!!

Jerry-
Just to warn you, this is not a nice comment...But...ROTFLMAO!!!
I'm sorry your week has started out like this! OMG! Here's hoping for a less eventful end to this week!

Nicole-
((HUGS))...Everyone needs those sometimes...

Other than the quitting smoking, my week has been cake compared to yours!! Of all the freak things that can happen!! And Nicole, I'm very sorry to hear what you and your loved ones are going through. My fiance's grandma just passed away a couple of weeks ago - it's never easy. And over a birthday too! My heart goes out to you!

I've got the worst PMS ever in the universe of the world. Besides feeling like I have a huge water balloon in my stomach with cramps that feel like I'm giving birth to a small elephant I'm craving skittles, jalapeno peppers, and spam, . . eww spam yuck. I'm deffinitely on the grumpy mommie beast rampage. :(

My week has been a cake walk too, but it must be a cat 'thing'. I came home Monday afternoon from being away for 6 days at the RT. Our cat gets mad at me/us if we're gone for 'too long', and I walked in and smelled the cat poop before I saw it on the laundry room floor (right next to the litter box, mind you). Cleaned it up, moved into the hall to put my shoes away and there was a pile of cat puke. Yeah, Valentine was missing me terribly and just wanted me to know it! LOL

On a good note, today is my (older) sister's 40th BDay and we're going out to eat to Carrabba's to celebrate...the kids and I don't eat out very much so we're acting quite immaturely right now just WAITING till we go out later! :) Also this week, I discovered I like Goji Berries! YUM!

Here's to an uneventful rest of the week!

I'm sorry to hear of those whose loved ones have passed away. Safe journey to them. <3

I was just told on a vegan forum that my husband, who was recently treated for cancer, deserves to die because he eats animal products. I believe the words "scum" and "good riddance to bad rubbish" were used. That's hard to read. Here I thought veganism was a compassionate lifestyle. :(

*sigh* I fear that sums up my week so far.

In the spirit of misery loves company:

- I got my first ever speeding ticket
- I learned that I am a right-wing stooge with questionable morals
- DH and I received the actual rabies bill from the hospital, time to pay up!
- my Ipod keeps freezing
- my hens are on strike for some reason
- I have squash vine borer
- I tweaked my shoulder doing pull-ups

And the WORST of it is I gave up drinking ages ago so I don't have any wine in the house. Waaah!

I am so sorry you had to hear someone say such a vicious thing Lori! Gosh, what is *wrong* with people? Is it so difficult to treat each other with respect and compassion and kindness? Ugh. :(

I wish the best for you, DH and family. Let those losers rot in hell for saying such things.

a famous line i use amongst my circle is "i have to fear for my life from the PRO-lifers" ppl can be such hypocrites and morons. they want YOU to respect their lifestyle but god forbid if you have your own.

mine starts with money is running out but thankfully i will be back to work in a few more weeks.

we couldn't go to jersey to see family this time

get hassled at the ymca over a swim test

insurance is not covering therapy right now(we are re-submitting they think therapy for an autistic child is not medically necessary)

and i am BLOATED big time.

over all i have my health we have everything we need to live and we still have each other so it could be worse!

Good grief! I thought I was having a bad week! Mine has actually been pretty normal except for taking too long to get to Friday!

I wish people who say such horrible things would stop and listen to themselves for just a minute before "opening their mouths" so to speak! I just don't understand why anyone would say such things! I couldn't do it even if I absolutely despised the person! I have a particular lifestyle, but would never expect everyone else to follow it.

I just don't get it . . . :confused::(

Lori I am so sorry. I'm giving that person the evil stink eye for you. Funny enough my one and only vegan friend is the most uncompassionate person I know. She always tell me that I'm an animal killer. I think that it is sad because not all vegans are like that. I know that sometimes she gets a little emotional for her cause.

Hugs to all, Nicole sorry to hear about loss.

Hmmm, it has been an up/down and very weird week. I kinda blame it on the full moon!

On top of that I have had cramps for the past week. I have had a MEA done and every once in awhile I get over the top cramps. But for a week!
