Start of STS

1st day of STS. I really enjoyed it. I upped my weights in some of the exercises,time flew by with this workout.

What a great way to start the month of May!:)
 
Good Afternoon.

Stayed home sick from work today but ofcourse I ended up feeling okay and got antsy after not working out since Friday so I just finished a work out. I did STS M2 D21 plus the weights portion of Ab Circuits Weights and Plates.

I skipped D20 for today (it's what was actually up next) because my knee is hurting me. I probably did something to it during the miles and miles of walking we did in NYC this weekend. :rolleyes: I will jump on D20 the minute it feels better and then it's wash rinse and repeat time for discs 19-20-21! :)

Terina:: Yay for starting STS! Glad D1 left you wanting more! ENJOY! If you go to the work out manager and then look at the tabs on the top of the page you will see one that says "cathe fun". Click on it and the tickers are in there. :)

Time to shower up and get on with the rest of what's left of my day!

long weepy rant ... beware :)

Just wanted to post about my MIA. I'm having a hard time. I've binged on 5lbs in the past week. I'm feeling so awful about myself. This is behavior that I thought was now in my past. I haven't done this in years and years. I started week 4 of STS yesterday but I may have to back off to a different rotation. Something less demanding while I process this awful financial situation I'm in.

It just doesn't stop. 5 years of hell and no end in sight. All savings are gone, all equity in the house is gone. My husband got illegally let go from a company that he was working for and doing very well with over 5 years ago. They knew we didn't have the money to sue them. They used all the ground work my husband did to set up the territory and then let him go and hired a younger man for half the commission. I wanted to sell our house at that time and my husband didn't. He had to build his business up from scratch again, then the recession hit, our home taxes doubled in 8 years, and our value in the house plummeted. We had no income and took a 2nd mortgage. I took a job for the insurance but before I finished the probation after 4 months of working I discovered I had cancer cells (that were caught early but I had to have surgery and be monitored for two years) and it was now a preexisting condition and the new jobs insurance wouldn't cover the surgery and the company furloughed me along with all the new hires, a year later I tore my rotator cuff right off the bone (over-doing 1 rep tests for STS) and needed surgery and rehab. We pay for insurance out of pocket being self employed ($785 a month just for me), insurance only pays 8o% after a $5,000 deductible. We have almost paid off all of those medical bills but it's been hell on our credit rating. Our house has been on the market since last fall and keeping it clean and picked up to show at a moments notice is taking a toll on all of us.

I'm 57 with a 14 year old son to raise. I feel so stupid thinking I could get back to my art work when my son was older. I thought my husbands business would be able to support us and I could work part time when our son was more independent but my part time work has gone away. 15 years of great part time income has disappeared. No work since last October and I can't get hired anywhere for a retail job.
I was just numb for the past few years thinking things would get better but I don't know how long I can hang on. I can't talk to my family about this because they were against my being a stay at home Mom in the first place but my family lives over 1,500 miles away and we were on our own to raise our surprise son who came when we were 43 years old and child care was a fortune and I wanted to be there instead of having strangers raise him.

I know I will get back to my wonderful Cathe workouts. They save me time and money and help me feel better mentally, emotionally and even spiritually but my stomach feels so jiggly and my body feels like lead.I'm trying to just get through the day without crying and to help my son and my husband.
And to top it off it' May 2nd and 35 degrees. I'm freezing.
I don't feel very "Snazzy" right now.

Colleen,I'm so sorry you're going thru all that.
Please don't give up,keep fighting the good fight of faith and things will get better! If I have one word for you is "Believe" believe thing will get better. I'm sending you a big hug from HI.

Just wondering are you A believer in the Christian faith?

Y'day was D21 + Weights portion of Weights n Plates Ab Circuits.

Today was BM2 Time Saver Cardio, AllStep Cardio + standing abs from Criss Cross Cardio.

Tomorrow will be D20/legs. Skipped it y'day due to a wonky knee but it feels completely normal today! YAY! :D

Colleen:: (((((HUGS))))) Stay strong. This too shall pass. Always here to listen when you need to unload.

check in for this morning, Imax 2 and Stretch max done. I didn't think I was going to get it done(felt like going back to bed) I was debating with self,but im glad its over and out of the way:eek:. Did pretty good with #9 & 10 combo.

Colleen- were are here for you! stay strong!!! :) Remember laughter is a good medicine for the soul.

Terina:: I considered doing IMAX 2 but chose BM2 instead for some reason. Will definitely have to pull out IMAX 2 this week now! ;)
 
KCM Circuit Burn cardio only premix + abs and the STS Extended Stretch.....DONE!:D

I have some pretty intense DOMS from D20 y'day. OUCHEES!:eek:
 
30/30 & pilates abs on Tuesday ...& two hours of raking and yard clean up, unscheduled rest yesterday ... heading upstairs right now to do Plyo Legs & stretch.
 
Good job on the work outs, Colleen! Y'day was soooo NOT a rest day! Yard work is one tough work out in my book! :) Knock 'em dead with Plyo Legs. I would DIE right now if I had to do that! OMG! :eek: LOL
 
HAPPY THRUSDAY !!!

Checking in for yesterday and today. Yesterday I did disk 2, loved it,and for today I did Kick punch & Crunch Premix 1 with the abs and Strecth Max with stability ball.

OMG!!! This morning seating on the floor I tweaked my back and now im having a hard time bending down. But got thru my workout....:eek: It didn't bother me tho.

Colleen- I agree with Wendy! yard workout is tough! thats why I don't have a yard........:D

Wendy-what does Cathe make us do on disk 20?:confused:

Disk 29 Plyo Legs & stretch from Total Lower Body. Yea.
Thanks for your support. I took action and went to the Workforce Center and signed up to take classes and see if I qualify for any training. I don't have any computer skills to speak of.
BM2 and IM2 in the same week? Wow.

This morning I did D21 (Back/Biceps) for the 2nd time. Did much better on the double wave loads this time. :) Tmrw is a forced rest day due to a family obligation that will take up the entire day. Sunday will be a long one...D19, cardio, abs, stretch! Can't wait!:D

Today was the weigh in for my 3rd week completed of WW. Down another .8# despite my NYC jaunt! That's a total of 4.2# lost in 3 weeks! My work pants are falling off me! Just 2 more pounds to go!:D

Okay ladies...I've been talking to myself for days now just to keep this thread a float....Perhaps we should call it quits w/no hard feelings? I am a check-in junkie (I admit it!:p) but the rest of you obviously are not. I check in to 2 other threads along with this one so I swear I will survive and not be hurt if you want to close up shop here.:) Just a suggestion....for possibly the last time I will report my work out....

D20/legs is DONE! Onward and upward to Discs 22-23-24 (x2) and then M2 is DONE! :D:D:D:D
