Slide & Glide-Am I the only one who finds this almost impossible?

I don't use the disc :) They don't slide on my carpet. I still get a good workout in without the disc :)
The only workouts I do barefoot is barre wo and yoga.

Which disks do you have? I have carpet, and mine glide well. They aren't Cathe disks, though.
I love this workout. I usually only do the cardio/abs premix, but I find it a great and different cardio burst. I love the way my lower body feels after it. I do wear shoes and I wear a thicker one because I can keep my heals down better. I cannot believe you can workout barefoot, I'm jealous. I cannot even do Turbo Barre barefoot, I have to wear shoes or else my feet are killing me, esp. in my arches. The more I've been trying to do it, the less my lower back hurts during the beginning.

I'm the exact opposite- if I wear shoes, then my arches are killing me. :D Human physiology differences are crazy, aren't they, especially considering we're all trying to do the same workout?!

I love your forum name, BTW. Are you from (or live in) Bayern? I took a semester of German in middle school, two in high school, three in college. I'm a complete Deutschephile, so I was just curious if you live in that area and/or speak the German language. :)
 
I have Cathe's, they don't slide on berber carpet. I use furniture gliders instead if I want to use discs :) I don't mind not using the discs at all, I still get a good workout in without them.

I was born and raised in Nuremberg, Germany:) I lived in Germany most of my life. Of course, I speak German:D That's so cool you took German. My husband retired from the military three years ago. We live now in WV.

I don't use the disc for the standing portion of this workout, but do for the floorwork. I have jacked up knees and those discs just seemed to aggravate my condition. I'd try doing the workout without the discs as someone mentioned for a while and slowly incorporate them back in as you build up strength.
