Shoe brand in bootcamp pic???

hi SNM or Cathe or anyone,

I would like to know the brand of shoe Cathe and the gang are wearing in the bootcamp pic.. the one with the medicine ball. I am in need of some new aerobic shoes and am curious !! thanks to anyone who can help

I believe those shoes are made by Ryka. It's the brand that Cathe wears in all her videos. I've owned several pairs and I really like them.

I don't know what you weigh, but I've been using the Ryka Combo since I was about 225lbs, and I use them for Cathe's aerobics as well as for a Xtraining shoe for kickboxing, etc. I find them comfortable and easy to break in.

I've been wearing my current pair for about 4 months now, and I'm just about to get another pair. :)

I've been wearing my current pair for about 4 months now, and I'm just about to get another pair. :)

Are these good for weight training or would another choice be better? I've been wearin' the same pair of old Reeboks for more years than I care to admit. I like the idea that Ryka is supposedly specially designed for women's feet that tend to be narrow at the heel and wider through the toe area. That's definitely me.

I have heard that cross training shoes are NOT good for aerobics. Does Cathe uses a different pair for her step/aerobics tapes or does Ryka crosstrainers are so well designed that one can use them for step aerobics also?

Initially I was going to only use the Combo's for hi/lo and weight training days as they were listed as cross trainers, but I switch shoes every day, and one day I looked down during Imax and instead of having on my aerobics Ryka's (which at the time were Purl's), I had on the Combo's, and they felt just fine. So since then, I've used which ever pair were on my feet interchangably! I really feel no difference between them.

I weigh 188 and i was wondering the same thing about doing step and hi-lo with the combo and since you said they work fine for you i will give them a try. and by the way .. did you get my email yesterday .. just curious..
