Heidi - Have you taken any Advil/Ibuprofen? If not, I would start there. Moist heat is the best for this kind of thing. I have one of those neck wraps that you stick in the microwave and heat up - and it would be a perfect fit for the posterior. It has flax seeds inside of it and they give off a nice gentle "wet" heat. You can make this by just getting some flax seeds at a store and nuking them in a pillow case or small fabric bag. Just make sure there is no plastic or metal on the bag.

If you have any locked up muscles, the only thing that really helps me is to bite a bullet and massage them. A foam roller works best if you happen to have one laying around. I once had doms so bad in my legs that after driving home from work (about a 45 minute drive), I could not straighten my legs out. I had to actually crawl in the house and call the hospital to see what to do. My doctor laughed and told me to massage the heck out of them. It worked, but I had to keep it up every few hours. Ok, far more info. than you probably wanted. Just been there with the excruciating DOMS. Hope you feel better!
- Oh, and Epsom salt in your bath helps too.
