Sayonara 10 lbs!!!

Good evening ladies. Well, I made it through the day with no Coke, but I did eat a cookie on the way home (it was in Sophie's lunch and she didn't eat it!). I had a super-stressful day and I know I shouldn't deal with that by eating crap, but it was just one cookie, so I think I did all right.

Lainie - good luck with that ankle. I hope the doctor tells you to go ahead and resume normal activity.
 
I'm so excited about finally being a part of a "check-in". It really motivated me yesterday!!

So my two small victories for yesterday were (1) I ate more salad than pasta for dinner; and (2) I DID work out after I got home from work. (Thanks to knowing that I wanted to check-in today!) My only downfall was I ate 2 pieces of Halloween candy.

I'm really ticked off at myself for not getting up early this morning to work out. My alarm went off and I hit the snooze. I WILL work out tonight though -- but I sure do hope to somehow transition into mornings.

The scale is really up for me -- I SHOULD have thrown out my frosted Halloween cookies too! I bought some this weekend and they only lasted 2 days. That frosting is sooooo gross - but I love it!

Eating was good yesterday...usually is on a work day!!! But I did have a few gumballs x(

This morning's workout was:

4DS KB Legs and Core Max 3rd segment which was not a good choice being my legs were fried. I need to plan my workouts better :)

Tomorrow is 45 minutes of cardio.

Well yesterday was pretty good. But I completely understand where you are coming from, Shelley. I ate off of Henry's plate last night because I was hungry and wouldn't have a chance to eat until after ballet class. And, as normal, he refused most of his dinner. So, I ate a nasty fishstick. Yuck. Anyway, other than that, yesterday was pretty clean. Today, I will workout this evening -- hopefully HIS from 4DS. I haven't done that one yet. It's a really busy day today, so I'm hoping I stick to my workout plans. Good luck to everyone!!!
 
Today is a good day, I awoke to discover my DH and his coworker who is down here working on an ad ate all the ice cream and "Dibs" in the house!:) Ha. None for me. This removes another temptation, and I have my Dessert Protein powder now so will try it for the first time today.
I did the Slim Series "Shape it Up" last night-boring but effective. And will do Cathe's new cardio LIS from the new series this am, followed by an ab workout and one of the express ones from Slim Series.

I will weigh myself every Monday morning, no more than that, or else those ups and downs will drive me nuts. The inches lost really at the end of the day are what matters anyway.:7 All my best to you lovely lasses today!:)
 
Morning everyone!

Oh, things are lovely in Shelley's world. The boss is foul, the SO is foul, the dogs are driving me insane, the ex- is in a snit.... so tempting to make myself feel better with food. But I shall resist!

In fact, I was going to buy Hallowe'en candy today, but I think I'll wait until tomorrow so I'm not tempted by it tonight.

I did Imax 2 last night and tonight will be a run - 4 or 5 miles.

Stephanie, are you sore again after ballet?

Tneah - how thoughtful of them to remove that temptation from your house!

I'm off to get myself a big salad for lunch.:)
 
Hello Everyone!

Well, just wanted to report I got through Day 1 without having to do any pushups!!

Got up this morning and did my scheduled workout (after 3 snoozes), but I got it done. Can't wait til this week is over so I can start my planned BBC rotation for November.

Shelley--No major soreness today. In fact, I feel really good, which is a good thing because I'll be climbing the stairs a million times today during my "cleanmax" workout! Sorry you've got so many obstacles this week with all of the foul people. Good for you for not caving. As far as being tempted by candy -- I buy things that aren't temptiing. This year I'll be giving out animal crackers and granola bars (and M&Ms per Oliver's request -- but I'm SO over M&M's. Once you use them as potty bribes, they lose their luster).

Hee-haw! I went out and bought "gross" hard candy and other stuff like those horrid "jawbreakers" for my little tricksters tomorrow}( Kids like that type of candy better than chocolate anyway, plus it limits the chocolate, Snickers and otherwise.
Oh, in our neck of the woods, we actually have folks that push grocery shopping carts around the neighborhood with the kids in them, carrying HUGE bags, the adults ask for candy too. It freaks me out! Only in Vegas, they all come out of the woods on Halloween.

Shelley-hope your salad was yummy, I plan on one myself tonight along with some tuna fish:)

I tried to start a new thread for this challenge this morning, but I guess you guys like this one. I did well yesterday. So far I've done well today too. I'm making sausage sandwiches tonight for dinner, but I got myself chicken sausage, seasoned with roasted pepper and garlic. I'm using whole wheat rolls. I did Amy Bento's new step workout and the leg workout from BBC. Ouch.

I'm afraid it would take more than potty bribes to turn me off M&Ms.

Lanie, stick to eating healthy today and worry about the workout when you feel better.

Shelley, enjoy your five days of freedom. I don't have any vacation time until March. :( But looking forward to a week in St John makes it bearable.

Bah, DD will probably take the baby trick or treating and DH will be working. That means I'll have to hand out the goodies. I hate Halloween. Maybe I'll just put the bowl of candy on the stoop and go to bed.

Robin, as I type there are little trick-or-treaters parading up and down my street. I'm not handing out candy tonight -- I guess you could say my house is dressed up like an abandoned shack tonight :p . I don't think you should feel like you HAVE TO participate in Halloween if you don't want to.

I did pretty good today. I had a minor slip -- I ate a few french fries at lunch -- but no other slips. I take that back -- I had one little candy bar }( .That's it, I swear. I'm just getting ready to do a 45 min walking workout.

Lainie, I agree with Robin. Take care of yourself.

Shelley, do you have any special plans for your time off? I hope you do something FUN!

Well I had a pretty good day. I am getting ready to do some form of Cardio tonight either LIS or BM2 not sure yet. I did have a PB cup after lunch to which my DH reminded me is that part of your clean diet? I told him some others were doing pushups for each slip up treat to which he taunted me can you even do a push up?

So I had to show off. I normally can do 2 pushups on my toes. but since I was showing off I snapped out 7... short rest and 3 more. It was so much fun to be able to do them I amost had another PB cup. I was giddy all afternoon too not sure it was the sugar of the pushups. I think Cathe says in one of her videos - sometimes the simplest things in life feel so good.

Well I hope you all have a good Halloween and if you are not particpating I hope you dont't have too many unwanted door bells.
 
Hi all!!

Thanks for motivating me to get my work out in tonight. As for tomorrow, I'm setting the alarm and I'm going to get it done first thing! No more snooze button!

Okay, I cheated -- another piece of Halloween candy. So I dropped and did 5 -- took a quick break -- and did 5 more. It worked, now I don't want another piece of candy!

I have been trying to switch to AM workouts for sometime now also. I don't know why but I just keep pushing the snooze until I run out of time. I think if I just did it a couple of times I wouldn't have trouble keeping it up.

Anyway good luck to you in getting your workout in before work.

Can we start a new thread for tommorrow?:7 Not me. cause I am west coast and you all are having your "clean" dinners when I am eating my "clean" breakfast.:) If not, thats cool too.
