Ryka Enlights - true-to-size?

Hi, this is my first time posting! I'm a Canadian Cathe fan who lives in Ireland. I've found some enlight IIs on-line and am thinking of buying them though I've never tried Rykas before. I live in the back-of-beyond so would most likely never get a chance to try them on before buying, I know you wear these Cathe so was wondering whether you think they fit true-to-size? ...also, whether you feel they provide adequate stability, a concern for me given my over-pronating flat-feet? Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

Hi,

Not Cathe but I have purchased Ryka II's on line and find that I had to go up a half size to have them be comfortable. You may find a lot of info on this if you do a search on "Ryka's"

I have these and went up a half size also. I wear anywhere between a 8 and 8 1/2 so I got a 8 1/2. They would have been way too tight if I got the 8. Hope this helps!

Just so that you hear both sides, I ordered a 1/2 size up but should have stayed with my true size.

Same here.

I suggest ordering them from a company that has free shipping and free returns, like Zappos. Then you can get one in each size (your regular and 1/2 size larger) and return the one that doesn't fit as well. Just try them on at the end of the day, or after exercising, so your feet have swollen to their biggest size (feet are smaller earlier in the day).

Hi, thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate it; unfortunately Zappos don't ship outside N America..... It seems we're at 50/50 right now - stay with actual size or go up a half, I suppose I just have to risk it and re-sell them on ebay if they don't fit.

winnow.

I always go up a 1/2 size in Rykas. Now, how confused are YOU??? Good Luck, they are great shoes! Hope they fit.

I found the Enlight II true to size. I wear 7.5 in Asics and I bought 7.5 in the RYKA. I also purchased the RYKA Engage XT size 7.5 and they were fine. The Enlight II do offer more ankle stability than the Asics running shoe or the Engage XT. I also found that over time the Enlight's have loosened, so I am definately with the true to size group.

I bought my regular size (a 10) and found them to be a bit loose, actually- so I wear thicker socks.

SO- you've got people who had to go up, stay the same now now me- who thinks my regular size was just a TAD big (but a 9.5 would have been too snug, I think).

Ahhh the confusion......a decision had to made so I opted for a half-size up. They are winging their way to me right now, I feel like Cinderalla :7 - do the shoes fit or not? Thanks for everyone's input.
