Morning RT's!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend:) Sunday was a rest day for me, and today is DM.
I had another 'nightmare' last night- I drempt that Tess, my roomie, brought 2 strange people with her on the RT, cancelled our room and rented a trailer instead- :7 :7

Have a great day Ladies!

Michelle

Good Morning!

Michelle: That is one scary dream! Two strange people with her?? A Trailer?? Okay, there has to be something that needs to be interpreted going on. I won't even venture to guess. Strange, very strange!

So, what happened yesterday? No thread for us. I didn't get on to check until later because we had a busy day.

Last night we had a barbeque and I am so aggravated with myself. My diet has been pretty clean lately, and it's not like I ate anything I wouldn't normally eat, but I just munched non-stop so I may have overdone it on the veggie chips and tostitos a bit. I feel so bloated today. Yuck!!

So, I am still so excited about becoming a Certified Personal Trainer!! Now it's about figuring out exactly what to do with it. I love having people come to my home to work out, but if I continue to do that and get bigger I have to take out insurance and be official and that can be costly. I definitely do not want to work in a gym. Maybe a women's gym, but I am not big on gyms where all the "juicehead" guys are lurking, busy checking out the women and doing everything wrong while they grunt and groan. It just makes me crazy. There aren't many women only gyms except for Curves ( NOT ) around here. So, I might look into a couple of companies where they have PT's go into people's homes. I could still have a few clients here at my home on a more casual level and then do that and make money w/o having to be in my own business and worry about liability and all. I love teaching classes and will continue to do that but I just don't make a whole lot of money with them. Not bad, but not great. Anyway, just some thoughts to ponder on a rainy Monday morning.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I absolutely can't wait to meet you all. We are going to have so much fun!!! Have a great day!

Good Morning RTers!

Today I ran then 3 miles then did PUB.
18 more days, ladies!! YIPEEEEE!!!:7 :7 :7

Michelle--What a funny dream. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about what I am going to take.:p

Vicki--I guess it is a good reminder when you don't eat so well, that you feel yucky afterwards. Is there a country club in your area where you could work? I took a "Boot Camp" class last summer that a trainer from a local country club led. We worked outside in a park and had to provide our own equipment. She probably had 15 ladies in the group, we met twice a week and I think she charged $15.00 each time. My problem was that she NEVER changed up the routine. We did the exact same thing every time!!x(

Have a great day all!
Gin:)

Hey Gin: thanks for the suggestion. My class is 12.00 per class (with a pay in advance for the month discount of 10.00 per class) but the Conservatory where I work splits everything with me. I work under their insurance so it is better than if I had my own insurance and then paid them rental for the studio. It's funny you should mention about not changing up the routine. The one thing I am very good about is variety!! I never want people to get bored plus it is better for the body to constantly be surprised, especially with a Cardio/Sculpt approach. So, the basic structure of my classes stay the same, but every week the rep patterns (for the weight segments), kickbox segment routine and cardio segment routine change. Also, we do a stability ball routine and that changes a bit every week so that it is never stagnant. The abs also change around, staying similar with small changes so that after about a month it is almost a completely different routine. I have to say that I have alot of very dedicated students who love the fact that they are never bored! Plus, we have alot of fun while working really hard. So, the main thing I need to do is figure out now how to do one on one training for the most $$ I can get so that I can continue to do the classes because I feel very dedicated to my students and want to continue doing them. You may be on to something about the country club though because if they have a gym ( and there are a few country clubs here), it would be a smaller setting, maybe not as many "juiceheads" and I bet they pay well (?) I will def. check into that!! Thanks!

WOW. Busy busy bee for me.

Yesterday was spent in the back yard, putting together a new swing/play set for the kids. The guy that I'm SORT OF seeing gave it to us (no strings attached, I made sure, lol). It took 4 hours to piece it together, but it's fantastic and is the newest attraction in the neighborhood! LOL

This morning's workout was all of BM2. LOVE THIS WORKOUT! Started off a good week for me.

Today, it's rainy, and I have a house full of 9 boys! LOL But it's so easy to get projects done when the house is full of kids because they keep each other busy! So, I moved some furniture around the entire house so that I can 1)get the PC in the living room and 2)start to re-decorate the extra room. Love house projects too!

Sorry to hit and run!

Gayle

Good morning ladies,
I thought I should come here and introduce myself since I am also going on the roadtrip. This will be my second time on a roadtrip and I am SO excited. I have recently been getting over some ITB issues. So, my workouts have been mostly the elliptical and upper body. But, I am slowy getting better and so ready for this trip.
I usually post over at the cheetah forum. I have been doing Cathe for about 10 years and was a personal trainer and group instructor for 8 years, but am now at home with my 3 girls. I cannot wait to meet all of you and also my cheetah friends:)

I will try to check-in here for the duration of time before the road trip. I can't believe it is almost here. My flight leaves at 5:00 in the morning from San Francisco on Thursday. Anyone else arriving on Thursday?

Well, have a great day and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Susan

Susan-I'm coming Thursday also!!!!!!!!! I'm driving to the Philly airport to pick up another RT'er and then we're heading to the gym or hotel! I'm PSYCHED! See you Thursday!

Gayle

Hi everyone. I'm back from my trip. Michelle, I am LOL at your dream. I was thinking more along the lines of an RV though. What do you think?? :)

Hello all! Checking in a little later than usual. I did my long run today, 13 miles around my favorite lake. We've finally been getting our summer rains here in N. Arizona and it's been much more refreshing!

Vickie- A belated congratulations to you on passing your PT exam. I think you were the only one who had doubts. The rest of us were not surprised! I hope you find a good setting and good $$$ to do what you want now! I like the country club idea myself.

Hi Susan and Gayle! Looks like were going to need to do a Thursday night GTG:7 :7 :7 :7 Of course I'll be riding to the hotel with you Susan since we're rooming together with Carole!

Michelle- you gave my my chuckle of the day with your dream!

Tess- how was the trip?

Have a great afternoon/evening y'all!

Hi everyone!

This is just a crazy busy time for me. I've been working 60-70 hrs/week, helping plan a fishing tournament, planning an annual HOA meeting, and playing grandma to two adorable little boys. The tournament is well in hand now, but the drama over the annual meeting continues to escalate. We have two opposing groups - one who thinks the Board should have lots of power, and some who feel it is better placed in the hands of the homeowners. Makes it a little stressful watching all the politicking going on, with DH and me right in the middle (he's the HOA President and I'm the Secretary and we both favor the homeowners). I sure am glad we're both resigning after the annual meeting. But, I still have to deal with all the bs accusations that I might cheat on the votes. HAH!! I have one of the members of the "other" camp already recruited to certify the vote.

Friday afternoon and Saturday morning were spent housecleaning and setting up to host DH's DS, DIL, and two grandsons. They were here from around noon on Sat until around 2 Sun. Exhausting, but fun! One of the boys will be 3 next month and the other one is 13 months - what a handful!!

Michelle - Too funny about your dream. Thanks for the laugh!

Vicki - Congrats on your PT certification. Maybe you could teach during the day when there's fewer juiceheads around?

Gin - I just did PUB last week. All those pikes just slay me!

Gayle - 9 boys?!?!?!?! I had trouble keeping up with just the two I had around over the weekend!!

Randi - I know what you mean about cleaning house. Seems just about the time you think you're finished, you need to start all over again.

Susan - Welcome! Hope you stay around and post from time to time.

Tess - How was your trip? Hope Florida was nice.

Shelly - Wow! 13 miles! My personal best is around 5.5 and I don't think I'm in that shape right now.

See y'all later!

Hello.

Today was DM and a Core Max premix. I needed to do more, but just didn't have time.
This weekend was my engagement party/shower with my DF. It was so much fun!! We had a great turn out, so we were happy. My friends did a wonderful job with the food and decorating. I hope we find a couple of good ways to repay them for all of their hard work!
We leave for the beach in less than one week. I still have some details to get worked out b/f we leave though. I will also be stressed when I get back from the RT b/c that is when we are having our big wedding celebration. I really want everything to be just right!! I am HORRIBLE at party planning though:(

Michelle...Another DMer here today--I love that one!! I think I wouldn't mind a trailor parked outside of Cathe's health club. Then I wouldn't have to worry about transportation or being late:p

Vicki...CONGRATULATIONS on passing your PT exam!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you. I am sure whatever you decide to do will be perfect!! Just keep thinking about it, it will come to you.

Gin...Sounds like you had a good run. I can't believe the RT is almost here!!

Gayle...My, 9 boys!! It sounds like you had your hands full!! I am sure they are all loving the new swing set!

Susan...It is nice to "see" you over here! Maybe you experienced RTers can help us newbies along:)

Tess...Glad you are back. I hope you had fun. You are right, an RV does sound better!

Shelly...WTG on your 13 mile run!! It is cooling off a little bit here also. I almost feel guilty about not getting outside to workout when the weather is so nice.

Mona...You sound VERY busy, but I bet it was a blast having family around!!

See you all tomorrow!!!
