Rotation that made my lower body smaller!!!

I got similar results with BB back in November. Funny I wasn't working any harder but I got the best results exactly like you said on the butt and thign (my area of concern).

I have the Legs & Glutes/KPC DVD and love it. I'm interested in trying out your rotation (or something like it), but I don't have all of the same workouts as you. So, I have some questions:

Is Imax2 basically all cardio so I could substitute running?

I don't have PLB or PUB (yet), so how different are the floor exercises in PLB from L&G or Pure Strength Legs floorwork?

Also, I don't have Step Jump & Pump, what kind of weight work is in that so I might know what I can substitute?

Sorry to but in here but I can answer your question about imax 2. Yes it is all cardio but it is intervals. You warm up, then do a step routine for a couple of minutes then a blast for a minute or so then a slower paced recovery for 30-60 secs or so. Repeat for a total of ten intervals. You could mimic this with running if you say, ran your normal warm up then at your normal pace for few minutes then a one minute sprint (not all out, you'll pass out) then slower then normal for a short while then repeat. I personally think running takes more effort so I really don't think you would have to do this for the entire 50 or so minutes.

Your answer is just fine. I have a feeling that the same thing works for making the lower body smaller as for making it more curvey because the goal really is the same building and defining muscle.:7

I am definitely going to do this rotation. Everything else is pretty tight except my hip area. I quit doing Tae Bo, because I wasn't getting much of a workout. Yesterday, I received my KPC/L&G dvd and this morning I did most of KPC. Tomorrow is L&G.

I have a question though, how heavy are the ankle weights everyone is using for L&G? I have to go out and buy a new pair because my Basset Hound ate my last set - arrghh x(

This week I am doing:
Mon - PUB
Tues - KPC
Wed - L&G
Thurs - IMAX2
Fri - Muscle Endurance
Sat - Boot Camp

I am so psyched to do this rotation! Thanks!
 
I use 2 and half pound ankle weights. These feel good on most the exercises. They feel like 10 lbs each when I do the lying outer thigh sweeps though.. I started the rotation this week. I did the 2 sets of upper body on PP and I really enjoyed it. I am doing KPC tonight.

Anyway, thanks for resonding. I will substitute interval running for Imax 2.

Do you (or does anybody) know the answers to my questions regarding the weight work in Step Jump & Pump and the floor work in PLB? I'd like to substitue for those but am not sure what would be the equivalent of those workouts.

I'm just desperate to get a smaller butt I guess...

Hi. Sorry it took me awhile to respond. I haven't logged on
in a few days.

I saw that Joy answered your IMAX question so I'll try to answer
your other ones.

About the floor exercises, I think that the floor work in L&G and PLB and PS are all pretty similar. The big difference is in PLB she uses
the stability ball for everything. She also does something with the ball that you can't do normally. That is she does these things where you lie on your back with your feet on the ball and raise your hips off the ground and roll the ball back and forth using your hams and
inner thighs. I really like that exercise because I find it works
the hams and inner thighs really well. It is a burner for sure!

I haven't done PS Legs in a LONG TIME but I seem to remember
that it was similar to L&G floor work.

As far as the strength work in SJ&P you do one or two sets
for each body part. It seems to be mostly endurance oriented due to
she does many reps for each set and varies the tempo quite a bit.
Let's see if I remember how it goes:

One set of squats
Deadlifts intermixed with deadrows

Bicep Curls
Side lateral raises
Front raises
Rear Delt raises

Static Lunges

Chest presses
Chest Flyes
Lying Tricep Extensions with barbell.

I think that's it. As far as what other weight workout to
compare it too, hmmmm, I'm not sure. Maybe C&W without the
compound ones? I can't think of one that would exactly fit it.
Or, maybe BC weight work? I think that might be more like it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond with all that info. I guess I'll substitue BC for SJ&P. I haven't done that workout in awhile.

I know I will eventually get PLB since most everyone gives it rave reviews. I just dread all the weight changes in it. I wish Cathe would come out with a Pyramid workout that goes slower like S&H.

Anyway, enough procrastinating. I think I'm going to go lay by the pool for a little bit and get motivated to do L&G Extreme later. This has been a pretty lazy Sunday so far...

Did I here ya say Legs & Glutes. I simply looovvvvveee this workout, I did it Sunday and had a blast then yesterday IMAX 1 (one of my favorites) in the whole wide world. My legs and butt are really feeling it.

Melanie, great rotation do you mind if I join you guys? PLB, PUB if you don’t have it...get it!!! Excellent workout, in fact I decided to rotate them both into this rotation. I’m planning to do this rotation for the next six week or so. I get bored really quick.

Not sure what workout I’m going to do tonight, thinking hm......just maybe Gin Miller Power workout not really sure.

I have really been slacking in my upper body workouts YIKES. But, going to get my butt in motion, Spring is almost here and I look a mess. If you guys don’t mind I really would love to join you.

Great idea Teddy girl of adding both PLB/PUB. I've done SJP and L&G this week. Perhaps I'll do Imax2, then KPC, PLB/PUB.

Hmmm. this should be the smaller lower body group!

I am loving this rotation. I am just imagining my butt and thighs being slimmer. :)

After my first session with L&G, I was sore for almost four days. I could not believe it. I mean really sore, especially in the hamstrings. I was amazed because I do alot of leg work. Second go round, the soreness hasn't been too bad.

I just received the SP&J DVD. Did that today and I loved it!

I hadn't done a Pyramid rotation since last year and forgot how much I loved it! I just came off of a 12 week endurance rotation using Power Hour and ME twice a week. After just two PUB workouts I'm already noticing much more definition in my arms.

I also love the music in the BB series. For me, it's very motivating.

I had an awesome and I mean awesome workout last night with, Ms Gin Miller, love that gal. I did her Power workout and it was the *BOMB*, really!! I forgot how much fun this workout was. Gin crew just seem so plumped. After, I finished PW I did Great Abs.

Then took a hot bubble bath and decided to watch TV with my sister I guess this was around 9ish when I finished up everything. Around 11ish I pigged out big time, with cheese twisters. I ate 1/2 the bag…darn!! I really felted soooooo bad afterwards,we had mike and ikes to, but they were both so good. Today, I dare not put anything in my big mouth that’s not healthy, so far…..doing good.

Tonight, I’ll be doing MIS upper & Abs. Going to give these legs a rest……not long tho.

Candi, I here ya girlfriend. My entire lower body is still sore. You can’t help but to get excellent results from Legs & Glutes. Well, you guys have a great evening.

Wait…..I got an ideal. Since we all love this rotation, Why not start a six, eight or 10 week challenge, we could all post in the Video, DVD Rotation section *daily. How about it Melanie? Since this is your wonderful rotation.

We can even call it *Rotation that made my lower body smaller Challenge* Just me .02.
