rotation pre-mix question (for downloads)

Hi Cathe,

I was looking through your rotations, and I see you sometimes include pre-mixes. The majority of my workouts are downloads and so I am not able to see what the pre-mix entails :(. For instance this months Feb rotation is Slide & Glide cardio portion w/TBT UB pre-mix. I have both workouts but have no clue on how to make TBT a pre-mix :(. I am familiar with the W/O Blender, but as I mentioned, would not know how to make a pre-mix without details.
Any suggestions? I feel kinda' left out unless I own the actual DVD.

Hi Natasha,


I know I am not Cathe (don't I wish :) ) but if you go to the wo blender and select the premix, all the chapters will be listed there. I don't use downloads so I don't know your next step but hopefully you can just queue up those chapters.

Unfortunately, you cannot select the w/o and retrieve the pre-mixes from them (it does not exist). You select the w/o, it then gives you "chapters" not pre-mixes. With those chapter's you can make your own pre-mix, yes. It's just what chapter's do I select to make the appropriate pre-mix?? Hard to explain unless you actually saw first hand.

I have been fiddling around with my W/O blender for months now. The program, IMO, has lots of glitches. My DH is quite the computer pro (he buys parts and makes them from scratch) and even he see's the program is not as efficient as it could be. Old Cathe workouts can take HOURS to make a video depending on how long it is or how many chapter's you've selected. Sometimes the program just freezes :(. Every time DH catches me trying to make a video, he laughs and says "just give up already!!". But like the woman I am, I must try yet another time.

Go to the Workout Manager, go to the add workout button, click it, select DVD, scroll down to the DVD that you want to use, then select the premix. On the right lists the chapters for that premix (write it down). Open up the Workout Blender, select the chapters that were listed in the order that they were listed, create workout.

I like playing with the blender a lot....downloads are great, you can make some cool workouts! I was in computer techie for over ten years, so I find these things pretty easy to use. Even though the program has minor glitches, I am really impressed that Cathe even offers a tool like this.

I will warn you that some of the DVDs don't have the right chaptering to create the premix. I have boot camp, and it is chaptered by circuits, not by each exercise.

Oops... when i wrote wo blender I meant wo MANAGER.... a very important distinction. I would love.the downloads to play around with but I already had so many DVDs when i found out it just didn't make economic sense. But I love the idea of making custom workouts I was trying to see if there was a way for me to do it on the computer. My DH is quite the techie too (builds them from scratch too) and he seems to think it's too difficult. I think he just doesn't want to help LOL

In all honesty it wouldn't work anyway because my workout TV is ancient and I couldn't hook a device up to it anyway.

Just curious, do you store all the downloads on an iPad or iPod? Is there enough storage space for all the downloads ...someday I may convert... when a couple thousand dollars falls from the sky.

UPDATE:
I did it!!! I rarely go to the Workout Manager (although now I will!!)

Just did the TBT UB pre-mix!!!!! With the new workouts, I am able to make a video really fast (that one took about 3min for a 30min w/o). It's the older ones I have a problem with. Also mixing different w/o's also gives me a problem. But hey, like you said, no one else even offers that feature, so I will take what I can get!!
