Roadtrippers--it's confession time

I'm shocked you can't find a warm up type of outfit, Lady Foot Locker here has a ton of warm upper stuff, that is really a cute. I about drooled over this cute black and pink satin set that they had. As well as a light blue and white one. and the pink and grey, okay so I kind of wanted them all. Though didn't get home with any since the price was a bit much for me. Also Forever 21 here had quite a few workout clothes that were pretty. Just I doubt they'd surive much wear, but would work for a trip. Forever 21 here, has very cheaply made clothes that are really cute, but don't do well in my washing machine.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll find something as it's really comeing into this area, which I'm happy about. As that's basically what I wear all fall/winter.

Hi Amy! Those orange/black pants I had on for the Sat morning step class run bigger than what I am used to. I believe they also are sized as S/M and M/L vs just S or M or L. Please double check that if you decide to order. In any case, I had to have those taken in about three inches in the waistband because they were too loose (which is not something I have to do when pants are sized Small vs S/M). Good Luck!

Okay, thanks Cathe. That helps. If you had to have the small medium altered, I'm going to go w/ small medium. I was thinking SURELY they don't call Cathe's size a normal small medium and EVERYONE else in the world is a medium large!? ;)
 
Marla, it's true. It's not really about the pants. Look at the long, slim waist above it! That's what makes the pants look so great. It really wouldn't matter what pants Lorraine was wearing.

Excuse me, but how does Lorraine wear those spaghetti straps????? Where is her support coming from?? She looks perfectly supported with no sign of a bra in sight. What am I missing here?
 
Nancy, haven't you ever seen those camis or T-shirts with built-n shelf bras? That's what she has on. Victoria Secret's sell a lot of those type camis.

Nancy--Paragon Sporting Goods (18th and Broadway in Manhattan) is having a 50% off sale on women's workout clothing this week (or at least today--passed the store and saw the sign in their window; I imagine the sale is on tomorrow, too). I've found some decent athletic tops there and I have the same boob problem--too big on top to wear tops with built-in bras. I have to have something that looks good with a sports bra underneath. I also often go for just a plain tank top from the Gap and the like.

That is so funny that you would mention that. I just spent 4 hours at Paragon and did great! I got great stuff and almost everything was on sale! I feel SOOOO much better now. :D

Oooh..sounds great! I am hoping to make it there today. I uh...need more workout clothes for working out at home..Yeah, that's it. :)

Honestly, I work a few blocks from Paragon and have to keep myself from going into the store on my lunch hour, cause I can easily spend a small fortune there every time.
 
Hey, Bunbun, I will be going back again today because I closed the store down yesterday and still need footwear, outerwear, and accessories. If you're going to be there today, let me know what you look like. It would be fun to say hi. In any event, you know what I look like from my pic, so if you see me, please do speak to me! :D

I used to work on 17th St overlooking Union Sq. park so I can relate. I used to order dinner from Zen Palate several times a week. Do you ever have lunch at Zen Palate?
 
Hi Nancy--that'd be fun. The BF and I plan to head down there after lunch, if I ever get my act together (I am SLOW on the weekends). I will PM you.

Zen Palate....shudder...many years ago, I got my one and only case of food poisoning from eating there. I know it was probably a freak thing, but haven't been able to go back!

Maybe she has a good strapless bra on. I have lots of spaghetti strap tops and just wear strapless bras underneath. They support me great. My favorite brands of strapless bras are Calvin Klein and Wacoal bras. The support is great, you can't see seams or the bra through my tops, and I'm a C cup.
 
FYI I had some correspondence with fitnessfit and they said I should order a S/M in the pants (I wear a 6 normally) and a M/L in the tank (34B). Hope that helps a little!
 
Nancy: that 's great that you finally had some luck with shopping! it's no fun when you can't find anything and you are ready to lay down some dough}( Also, there are A LOT of tops made now with built in bras so you don't have to wear bras. Progress!!!:D

And if you're not that big to begin with, you can get away with wearing these types usually. I wish I could wear those myself.
