Good morning Michelle and Randi! :)

Imax 2 is on my rotation for today. Will have to wait until later. My DD has a friend coming over and she is a handful (the friend, not DD ;-) ). I'm bringing them to a big indoor playground. That will be a workout in itself!! I hope I have enough left over for Imax 2.

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday RTers!

I didn't check-in yesterday, but I took an unscheduled rest day. My body had had enough jumping around and really needed the rest. I feel much better today and will be modifying the home-made circuit workout I had on tap today so I do part of that and the Imax 2 I was scheduled for yesterday. I'll also be adding on seg. 3 of Core Max. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Carol

I haven't checked in in a while. You all have probably forgotten me! I am just not a very good checker iner - I get a little bored with it.

Well, I am going shopping today for some road trip clothes. Most of my workout clothing just isn't nice enough for people to see in public. That stuff just gets really ratty and gross after a while. I also need a couple of new sports bras, so off to the Nike outlet I go.

Is there anybody else here who doesn't do a whole lot of high impact? I have a herniated disc in my lower back that has really been causing me problems this last month, so I am trying not do that much jumping - and well, with Cathe, you know she likes the jumps. I almost canceled the RT because of it, but DH has been really encouraging me to go and just do what I can. But jeez, I hate to feel like a wimp!

Ok, whine over :0)

I am getting excited, and yes scared, about the RT. It is just getting really close!

Good Morning RTers!

Today I did LIC and then looked back to see that I had not done this one since November!! I had done some of the pre-mixes, but not the entire thing in almost 7 months. Don't know why because it is a good one.

Randi--Hope you are on the mend soon. Take it easy!

Michelle--Enjoy you rest day!

Melissa--IMAX2...such a fun one! Enjoy the indoor playground.

Carol--What is your homemade circuit workout consist of?

ivorygorgan--I just bought some new workout clothes yesterday also. I run outside in the dark ( before sun's up) and workout by myself with Cathe at home, so my stuff was really old and ratty, but nobody saw it! Please don't cancel the RT. Come and just do what you can. You are not a wimp. You are being smart and listening to your body!

Hey you guys.

So, last night the boys' gig was a disaster. The first two bands played and we noticed the clouds looming overhead. Just as we were setting up for the boys to play, the sky opened up and it poured down in buckets. What a bummer. People actually waited around, but even when the rain slowed a bit the thunder and lightning was so bad that they had to cancel the rest of the show. The equipment got wet and we were running around like crazy people trying to pack it up and cover it up and all that. We have about 15,000 dollars worth of sound and musical equipment, thankfully none ot it got ruined. Usually at outdoor shows there is a tent over the stage, but this one was not as professionally run as we are used to. Oh well, s@*# happens!

Anyway, I walked with two friends this morning, then we came back to my house and I made a big breakfast for us and my DH and kids. It was alot of fun. Now I am going to get in an upper body workout and then to the computer for studying. My PT test is less than a week away and I am so worried. I can always re-take it, and it's my own fault I procrastinated so much. Maybe I can pull it off, we'll see.

So, I heard Target is having a great sale on workout stuff if anyone is interested. I might try and go tomorrow to check it out. I'm not going too crazy buying new stuff for the trip. I have alot of w/o clothes since I teach, but I find I always wind up buying black no matter what I set out to do. So, I may get one or two things, but you will have to all see me in my same ol' stuff.

Okay, that was a long post, especially for a weekend. Have a great day!!

Gin -- I can't take credit for it as it's not MY homemade circuit ;-) But straight from the Whip Cracker herself as part of the Aug '05 Bootcamp rotation. I was supposed to do the following:
5 minute BRISK power walk, 400 walking lunges, 200 jumping jacks, 8 sets of 8 push ups, 400 crunches from all angles, 4 sets of 25 dips off the coffee table

and I had decided to do it circuit style 'cause otherwise I'll get terribly bored, lol. I'll be doing much less of these today, though, so I can get all of Imax 2 in :D HTH!

Hello Roadtrippers!! Goodness, it's less than a month before the BIG EVENT:eek:   I was checking in here in April and May and then got side tracked after my vacation and other distractions. Since the time is approaching (woooohoooo) I thought I'd touch base here again so I can know you great ladies better before we meet up. I regularly check in with the Cheetahs (runners). Obviously I love to run, almost as much as I love to work out with Cathe.

This morning after work (I'm a nurse and I work nights) I had a great 3 mile trail run. After my nap I got in the BM2 Scrambled Eggs premix.... love that one!

Randi- Hope your feeling better!

Michelle- Hope your having a fabulous rest day. I see your from N.C.
Absolutely beautiful area! I envy all the green scenery you enjoy.
I live in Arizona and we're having a terrible drought! Thank you for providing that code for free shipping at the champion web site!!
I will definitely check it out.

Melissa. Personally I would find IMAX2 to be much easier than taking kids to a huge outdoor playground!!! Kudos to you!

Carol- I remember that routine from the August 05 rotation. I think she called it the fitness fiesta? Anyway, that rotation is what got me started posting on the boards after lurking for a long time. So, how did you fare with all the sit ups?

Ivorygorgon- I remember you!!! We've both got a case of workoutclothes anxiety! I work out only at home and never go to a gym so it's usually ratty old Tshirts and baggy shorts. I do have some nice stuff for when I race but I don't think they would be appropriate either. Let us know how you made out with the shopping.

Gin- It's kind of nice when you do a Cathe workout that you've forgotten about and haven't done for a while. It's like rediscovering a lost treasure. LIC is a good one!

Vicki- How exciting that you're close to taking the exam for your PT cert!!!! I bet you'll do fine and you are fretting over nothing!

Hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the weekend!

Hello.

I guess today is a rest day:( I had planned on doing upper body weights and cardio, but I have been running around all day and now all I want to do is eat! I work at the hospital all day tomorrow, so it will be hard to workout when I get home, but I AM going to!!
We were able to secure the location for our wedding party/reception. I am so excited, it is perfect for what we want. It is just around the corner (Aug 25th), and still so much to do!

Shelly...So nice to "see" you back here. I have been wondering where you were!!! Wow, BMax 2 Scrambled Eggs AFTER a 3-mile run!!! Great workout!!

Vicki...Sorry about the weather. I am glad your equipment was not ruined!

Hi to everyone else....I am starving and have to go eat b/f I raid the kitchen for junk food!!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick check-in, my husband's band is playing tonight. Last night was Step Jam. I had forgotten how fun this one is, and tough too. Today is LIC, hopefully I can get it in later tonight. Last night I didn't work out until after 9:00. Looks like it'll be another late night.

Shelly- I see you're from AZ! I am too. Are you flying out of Phoenix for the RT?

Talk to later,
Jacque

Blessings,
Heather B.
