Why didn't you mention Body For Life when we were on the phone? My girlfriend in the Scranton area used to do BFL. She lost a lot of weight with it. I'll have to ask her about it when I talk to her next. What exactly would you like me to ask her? Send me an email.

Gin - Too funny! I might have already posted this but I have only taken a step class at a gym twice in my life and walked out in the middle both times. We can definitely stick together on this one in the back row as close to the door as possible. :)
 
I just booked my room today. I am so excited.


Today I did not work out. I had to stay late at work for a meeting and was feeling lazy so getting home and hour later equaled an excuse not to work out. My diet has not been good the last couple of days either so I really need to get my you know what in gearx(

On a more positve note I did download the first couple of running podcasts posted in another RT discusion. I am really getting into running. I have been doing mostly step the past couple of years except for a few breif flings with running and I am really enjoying the change. I enjoy the podcast because then I do not have to be tied to a watch.

Blurb: I love music. I was involved in music program in school. I also love finding new bands to listen to. :)
 
Good afternoon fellow Road Trippers!

I haven't posted in few days, but I've been keeping up with my rotation. Tonight is LowMax and I'm going to try A-Jock's version of using the med-ball on the blasts. I'm looking forward to it!!! Might do it on 6"'s instead of 8 though.

Let's see, a little blurb about myself...

Okay, I'll keep it general for today. I'm 35 years old. Been married for 10 years, together for 18 years. We have a 7 year-old DD. I live in Massachusetts. #1 hobby is working out...BIG SURPRISE!;-) This will be my first RT and I just cannot wait. I am really looking forward to traveling alone. Something about getting on the plane by myself. I don't know! My mother wanted to come with me because she doesn't like the idea of my traveling alone. She felt a little better when I told her that I would be with 105+ other crazy Cathe RT'ers!!;-). When I told my family, meaning parents, sister & brother, etc., that I was going on the RT, they were really surprised. Up until that point I don't think they realized how serious I was about working out and how much of a part of my life it is! It was a good feeling.:)

Kudos to you, Melissa, for traveling alone and showing your family how important this is to you.

I did GS C&T today and was really worried about the pushups, since I haven't done this workout for months. I was able to do them all, with longer breaks then Cathe takes. Then I did the Bonus Cardio, but like a doofus, I misread the rotation, and instead of doing the bonus 3 times, I did it 5. No wonder I could hardly do the last set. Whew. I'm beat. I had already decided tomarrow had to be a rest day and I'm glad. I have to get a hair cut after work, and then church at 6, so I knew there would be no time to workout.

Blurb - I love the beach. Any beach, any time. DH and I have been going to St John in the USVI every other year since our 20th anniversary and it's heaven on earth. But Ocean City,MD, Virginia Beach or the coast of Maine will make me happy too.

Hello everyone!

I did Drill Max and B & G's today. I absolutely LOVE Drill Max, the time just flies by when I do it. I know I talk about DM quite a bit. It seems like I can't get enough of it.

Blurp - I also LOVE karate. I have been doing karate for 3 1/2 years. I got my black belt last April and this year on April 14 at 10AM, I will be testing for my first degree black belt!

I will have to do 100 jumping jacks, 100 sit ups, 50 push ups(straight leg ones), 50 squats, do the splits, bending down to touch the floor with my head to my knees. I will also do 150 kicks, 150 punches, 100 blocks, 10 minutes Heavy Bag Work, 5 minutes Focus Mitts, 5 minutes Kick Shield, 10 minutes of Sparring, 2 minutes of shadow boxing, 2 minutes of Self Defense Techniques, then on to a 6 minute deomonstration of everything I have learned along with a 60 second speech.

It will be a total cardio festival. Cardio is my forte'! They call me the cardio queen at my karate classes.

I am looking forward to the RT - I will get lots of cardio in with all of you women, who constantly inspire me!

Randi - It's so great that your mom is coming to support you! My mom thinks this whole thing is a little nuts!

Amy - I understnd. I force myself to drink water and then go to the bathroom ever 30 minutes!

Jean - what an awesome idea to replace the step...I still trip over mine...often.

Carol - That dream is too funny!!! Now that I think of it, I would imagine that Cathe would be a pretty good singer too...

Tess ATL - It's awesome that your company offers the nutrition coach. I'm sure that will be really helpful! I think I need one too!!!

Belinda and Liann - I bought the gymsyles and muscle max. I can't wait!!! They shipped out today and it only takes 1-2 days for them to arrive once they ship!

ivorygorgon - I hope you feel better! take care of yourself!

Mona - I hope your rebounder arrives soon! I have a rebounder, but I HATE the DVD's that came with it. I like to use it for hi/lo to reduce impact. And it's just plain fun!

Shelly C - You are hilarious! You're lucky I'm not shy;-)
Colleen - I'm a baseball fan too...go Red Sox!!!

Hello.

I didn't have time to check-in yesterday. I had an extremely busy day. I was able to get up early enough to get on the TM for 40 minutes, but that was it. Today I did a mish-mosh with BM2. I started with Double upper body followed by the cardio blast premix adding circuit #4 and repeated the bonus cardio two times. I was very sweaty when it was all over!

Randi...my sister lives in Lenexa, so we go to KC all the time. I love the plaza!! I am extremely broke from all the shopping and eating when we get home :-(

Amy...I will not know anyone either, but everyone sounds so great. I am sure we will make a lot of friends!

Carol...who is your favorite Idol? Too funny about your dream.

Mona...I love working from home, too (when I can)!! It is so nice to wake up, eat breakfast, and sit on the couch in my pajamas for most of the day!!

Liann...what kind of dogs do you have?

ShellyC...what is your favorite HCE workout? I really like all of them, but I tend to do the second one the most.

Beth...enjoy your pedicure (if that is what you decide). I love having my feet look nice when sandle time rolls around.

Melissa...my mother doesn't ever like the idea of me traveling alone. She was very concerned at first, but when she saw how excited I was, she became excited too!

Robin...I love the beach also. We go to Florida every year, and I cannot wait to go back in June!! I have never been to any of the beaches you mentioned, but hopefully I will make it up that direction one day.

Cheryl...I got tired just reading about your cardio festival!!

Blurp---I really DO NOT enjoy flying. I used to take anti-anxiety medicine to fly, but have been able to get by without it the last few times. I have not flown in a year and a half (which is the longest I have gone without flying in awhile), and get pretty nervous just thinking about flying in August! But, I love Cathe and want to meet all of you, so I have good motivation:)
