Well, I might be able to get to personals tomorrow!! Thanks on the eating compliments --- I messed up yesterday though, luncheon at work, 2 cupcakes.....argh!!!!

S - apple, ff cheese
L - Chicken breast, romaine, cucumber, tomato, salad with an orange
S - wheat thins, turkey breast
D - tuna, broccolli, slice whole wheat

Good Morning and Happy Friday to all!

Road Trip Check-in

Happy Friday, Road Trippers! I am so glad it is Friday. After another restless night, I am looking forward to the weekend. Hopefully, I can enjoy some long naps and get my sleep schedule back on track. I am not sure if I want to start my Cathe rotation next week or wait until Easter. I have a full week ahead of me and may go to the club and jog in the pool instead. After sleeping 3-4 hours a night this week, I do not have enough energy for Cathe this morning or I would pull out Rhythmic Step just to shake these blues. I am hoping to have enough energy to get through Maximum Cardio later this morning. I am actually sleepy now, so I may take a nap instead.

Are any of the Texas girls (or any of the other Road Trippers for that matter) planning to fly to Jersey on Thursday?

Kim, I laughed at your comment about my recovery week. After 12 weeks of all-Cathe workouts, anything else is a recovery workout!

Gin, the FIRM workouts are much less intense than Cathe. I have not done the Classics in years, but the cardio workouts are definitely less challenging. By the way, I am in Central Texas. Are you planning to fly out of DFW?

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Goodmorning, fellow road trippers.

Kathy, LOL about keeping up with the personals today. That's one advantage to getting up early. Don't sweat a cupcake or two. Everyday is a new one.

Heather, I hope you get your naps in this weekend.

I gave blood yesterday and today's workout is supposed to be BM2. We'll see how much of it I can sweat out.

Have a great Friday everyone.

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Mornin' all. Well after being a slug yesterday morning and not getting up to w/o I was back in charge today. Since I got a real leg w/o in yesterday I pulled out BMax2, but mixed it up a bit. Did the cardio timesaver and then UB2X - abs only once. It was quite nice this way - and still a 90 minute w/o.

Drill team practice today - every Friday - and I've not even begun to prep for it - guess I should get busy huh? Heather - no - I'm not in Texas, but I am going in on Thursday. BTW - I can't do recovery weeks either. In fact, I looked at my Cathe calendar today (and Heather I love your commitment to that) and realized that I haven't had a rest day all month. I think I need to plug one in tomorrow - but I have a hard time with them.

Kathy - every now and agian you just need a few cupcakes. Don't beat yourself up.

Robin - how's the carpet?

Ok - off to move the monsters - also hope to catch up on personals this w/e. HAppy Friday all.

Lorrie

I'll be walking the Komen 3-day (60 miles) the week after Cathe's RT. Here's my webpage.

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good morning everybody! I think I'm still trying to wake up! It's been a busy hectic week - early mornings and late evenings.

Hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend coming up!!:)

Take care!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good morning everyone!!!Today I am going to a step class at the gym. I really enjoy this class. The instructor is awesome!!As far as eating goes today, I am going to try to eat clean. (I think I end up saying that everyday:) ). Yesterday, for dinner we had pizza and I had two cupcakes:( I always find that I can eat clean when I am at home, but the days when I go to work I end up eating a ton when I get home because I am starving!

Kathy-I hear you about the cupcakes. I did the same thing. Like Robin said, today is a new day.:)

Heather-I hope you get a nap in today. It is hard to work out when you are exhausted!!

Robin-Kudos to you on donating blood. How long does it take you to get over the effects of that? My dad just got four blood transfusions in the last three weeks so I really appreciate those who donate. I am going to donate at a blood drive next week.

Lorrie-Have fun at the drill team practice. I understand what you mean about rest days!!!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good Morning!
I did other things this morning besides working out, but may try to do CK when I get home from work.

HeatherB--I am from N.TX and will fly out of DFW on Thurs with my DH.

Lood forward to meeting everyone in August!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good Morning all!

Lara and Lorrie: Thanks for your suggestions yesterday about my achilles tendon. It's been a dull ache but yesterday during Step Blast it was actually painful and last night when I went to bed it was throbbing. I like Lara's suggestion of more cross training -- it doesn't seem to bother me so much when I'm doing a workout other than pure cardio.

Heather: I am flying out of DFW but not till Friday. I'm from Dallas, what part of central TX are you in?

Not sure what I'll do today. Was set to do Jari's Ripped 1000 but don't want to bother my achilles tendon too much today. Maybe I'll do her RTTC - don't remember that one having any intense cardio intervals.

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Hope you all are having a GREAT week!

This week has been really crazy busy for me and I feel like I haven't gotten anything accomplished. But, I have stayed eating well (yay!) and exercising, so that is good.

Workouts for the past few days:
Thursday: Cardio Kicks
Wednesday: in a.m. Back/Shoulders/Bicep timesaver, BM2 upper body; in evening Drill Max
Tuesday: BM2 step and 3 power circuits

In a sneaky mid-week scale check, I am down another pound! Sunday will mark 3 weeks on WW - so I'm very pleased with my results.

Happy Day and bad to me for peeking at work!!!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good Morning, RoadTrippers ~ TGIF!!!!! :)

I'm back on track this morning after a horrible eating experience yesterday...well except my WaWa coffee this morning w/ Irish Creme....:9

B - Egg whites, 2-slices Bacon, Coffee
S - Banana
L - Probably a salad w/ either Turkey or Chicken (??)
D - Haven't decided yet
Lots & Lots of Water

Tonights workout is, GS Chest & Tri's....this gets me everytime, I think I had DOMS for (2) days last time I did this work-out. I wish I could accomplish big-girl push-ups though.... :(
If I have time, I would also like to throw in a Yoga DVD or Bar Method.

So, what is everyone's plans for the weekend?
I don't have anything planned thus far. My (2) kids are going w/ their Dad this weekend, so it will be quiet around the house. Probably do some shopping ... :)

Take Care -

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good Day Roadtrippers!

I've got a busy day and weekend planned. I'm an evening exerciser, but I have to try and get P90X Day2 workout done soon since I'm taking the kids to a Beauty and the Beast musical tonight. Then I have to workout early tomorrow morning before we head out to spend the rest of the weekend with my dh's parents. His father is battling an aggressive brain tumor. We'd like to spend as much time with them as possible.

I'll try to get to some personals this afternoon or over the weekend at my inlaws. Hope everyone has a blessed day!

PaWendy... Thanks Trooper15 for adding the PA to my name since there's already a Wendy on these forums and it's too soon in the game to think about adding an X to my name! LOL

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Good morning Roadtrippers,

Heather, I hope you get your naps in this weekend. I live in El Paso, TX and my DD Alesia and I will fly out Thursday!

Today is a mix of cardio on the rotation, since I don't have most of Cathe's old DVD's I think I will do Rhythmic Step intead!

Have a great workout and day!

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Kathy: I am on American # 1948 leaving DFW at 10:20am on Friday - what about you?

Belinda: Have fun with Rythmic Step today- I love that workout!!

Not sure what I will be able to fit in this weekend between shuttling kids to games and practices -- hopefully some yoga and a rest day on Sunday.

RE: Road Trip Check-in

Hi ladies. Last night's workout was the first 4 drills of Drill Max. I just didn't have time to do the whole thing. This is my first time doing the workout and I LOVED it! Wow, how much fun! I love the ball moves in this one.

Hope everyone has a great day. Did someone say cupcakes? Mmmm....

The first day of spring break! My kids had three boys spend the night last night, so along with the other six boys that I still have at home that makes nine boys here for the day! It is about 55 degrees out so they can play outside some!

I was able to get up early and do LIC and added the bonus cardio 2 times to this one. So I was still able to workout. I plan on doing B & G's tonight after my son's karate graduation.

We just finished up seven months of hockey last weekend, so this will be my first free weekend. It will be so nuce, even though two of my kids do have birthday parties to go to.

We have peacocks, so these boys who spent the night are just fascinated with them, because they are wild. It is mating season, so they get quite loud and fan out their tails quite a bit!

Have a great Friday. I will try to check in tomorrow!

Good afternoon. Very early morning call this morning which just ended. Yesterday my nutrition actually worked out exactly as planned. I have decided that I should just eat at home all the time and I won't have any issues.

Anyway, today I will be RUNNING..yes actually RUNNING. 3 miles on the office trail. I am running with two people from my office who don't let me fall beyond. It's great because they don't slow down for me they force me to keep up because they know I am competitive that way. We will do 20 mintues of yoga after the run.

Nutrition for the day

B Egg Beaters, Strawberries
S Apple
L Lean Cuisine and Baked Lays with cup cake
S Salad so won't fall off wagon at dinner
D Going to dinner and movie with friend...Lord help me to resist popcorn!

THANKS FOR INSPIRING ME TODAY...

KIM

COLLEEN.....WE ARE ON THE SAME FLIGHT!!!!!!!! (screaming like on that old Let's Make a Deal)!!!!! :) now i am getting more excited!!!! I live in East TX about 3 hours from DFW

Hey all, it's been really crazy at work this week....and my eating kind of went out the window yesterday and well...this morning, doing better now. Anyway, didn't do a workout this morning because of my marathon tomorrow. They are predicting bad thunderstorms, argh! This is the first time I've ever felt like maybe I won't finish a marathon, it is terrifying. Oh well, I'll just try to do my best. Have a good weekend everyone...I doubt I'll be checking in over the weekend...after the marathon I'll most likely be laying flat on my back and allowing my husband to bring me food and drink haha!
