Road Trippers 3/30

Good morning roadtrippers! I so enjoyed reading what workouts everyone is looking forward to:) Thanks for responding. I think I'll make it a regular feature on this check in once a week or so:)

Kathy- How exciting that you and Colleen will be on the same flight!
You're beating yourself up over 2 cupcakes?? Aw come on!

Colleen- Achilles tendonitis can be pretty irritating! Unfortunately
stepping in particular can aggravate this so I would go with other forms of cardio for a week or so and be sure to ice it regularly.

Heather- did you get in MIC today?

Robin- If you can get in BM2 after donating blood yesterday I salute you!!! After donating I'm usually pretty wiped out for a couple of days.

Lorrie- I like your BM2 combo workout today! I'm going to write that one down and try it someday.

Beth- have a great time at your step class. Im strictly a home exerciser so it will truly be a different experience for me at the RT.

Tracy- Congratulations on your weight loss!!! :7 :7

Jennifer- Got to love those drop sets of pushups}( Why don't you try doing pushups on your toes from the step rather then the floor?
It's a good way to train up to doing them the full way. If you start now you'll be able to impress us all by the time the road trip comes around!

PaWendy!! Glad you like my name for you. I add a C on the end of my name because there already is a Shelley on the forums (a wonderful person!) who is a prolific poster. Have a great time at your musical tonight (I love Beauty and the Beast!)

Belinda- I haven't done Rhythmic Step in ages... such a fun routine!

Tess- DM is my current all time Cathy favorite:7 :7 Really kicks the booty doesn't it?

CherylM- NINE boys overnight? ......NINE?....  Okay, you really deserve a medal! You must be one awesome lady and I so look forward to meeting you. Hey, bring some pics of those peacocks!

Kim- Your office has a running trail? Wow, sounds like a great place to work!

I had a quite a workout today, thanks to one of the cheetahs
Wendy(fitmom) who challenged me to do the BBC (Barrys Bootcamp) Legs&Buttt workout followed by B&G leg blast premix. I survived!

Later today I hope to get in a 4 mile easy paced run.

ShellyC,

I work in Research Triangle Park, NC which is business park but with expansive required green space. Connected to my office we have about 3 miles of wooded trials in Research Triangle Park generally you have about 15+ miles of trails and runable sidewalks. Its great. People roller blade, bike and run at lunch.

Its hard to be overweight at my office because we have a FULL gym in the basement with classes in the morning and at lunchtime everyday. I actually have a bit of reputation for forcing people to meet me at the gym for meetings and we will walk on the trail or left weights while we chat. If you want to be overweight here you really gotta put some effort into it.

KIM :)

Happy Friday everyone!!!!
I managed to stay pretty clean w/ the eating yesterday (only one twizzler)and am so far so good today. However, I am going out tonight with my girlfriends for cocktails and dinner so...wish me luck!!! I worked this morning from 7-2 and I am getting ready to do PUB in about 1/2 hour. My biceps are weeping at the thought ;(
Have a fabulous weekend everyone and keep up the great work! I am soooo jealous of those of you who have time to do multiple workouts each day, I just pray to get in an hour. Once school gets out, I will have time to do extra long workouts. I can't wait!!!
Josie

Afternoon everyone!

My workout today was LM step only premix, MM shoulders 2X, and MM abs.
My eating was improved today, but tomorrow is my DS 21 b-day:-( So mommy is in charge of cake....and I have no self control when it comes to b-day cake.
Hope everyone had a great day!

Michelle:)

Hi everybody! Well I've just finished the week from hell with the day from hell, and I am soooooo ready for the weekend. I worked from home today (they finally fixed my home phone yesterday after WEEKS of a steady buzz/hum/static on the line - YAY!!) and I snuck in IMAX 2 in between meetings. I just love the IMAXs! Okay, so I love 1 and 2, I'm still making nice with IMAX 3. ;) Last night I did Legs & Glutes, and S&H Bis and abs. When Cathe dropped her DBs from 15s to 12s and from a 30# BB to 25, I didn't - nope, not me! I am feeling the pump today for sure.

Gin - Yep - another Texan checking in. That 50# bar was tough for sure! Thanks!

Colleen - How's your Achilles tendon today? I've never hurt it working out (I have hurt it pretty bad, but that's a whole other story), but I understand injuries there are often related to over pronation and can have a long recovery period. I'd take take it easy for a few days and see how it responds. Also, I think Cathe said this was a recurring injury of hers, maybe if you post on ask Cathe, she'll have some advice.

Kathy - Don't beat yourself up over a couple of cupcakes. It's okay to cheat every now and then.

Heather - I hope you get caught up on your sleep. I also have a hard time with recovery weeks and find myself very out of sorts. So I haven't done a recovery week since. . . . . ummmmm . . . . . like October, I think. :)

Kim - I'm jealous of your gym and trails at your office. The neighborhood my office is in has gotten so bad I'm afraid to walk across the street to Whole Foods for lunch sometimes.

Here's to everyone keeping their energy up!

Hey gals.

How exciting for you Texas folk to be on the same flight! I'm exited just thinking about it. Is it August yet?

B&G without the abs for me today. I'll sure feel it tomorrow. Lucky for me Sat is a rest day.

I'm pretty much resigned that I can't eat clean. It just doesn't work with my life. I eat healthy, but I can't avoid the processed stuff. Fridays are pizza nights for me and I really enjoy it. So, I eat as much whole foods as I can, but I try not to beat myself up about eating clean.

Have a wonderful weekend!

A word of advice. Don't look at someone's profile while using the back button to keep track of everyone's posts while trying to do personals. I was almost done, when I checked ShelleyC's profile (wow, look at her biceps!) and lost my mile long post.:( I don't have time to redo it.:( Believe me when I say I read everyone's post and answered everyone with something witty and pertinant.

I mananged to get through BM2, making me think Cathe's Nov 06 rotation has done wonderful things for my endurance. Hope you all have a great evening and I'll try not to lose my personals tomarrow.

Oh, and GOOD LUCK with your race Cheryl S. I hope it doesn't storm.

I just finished KPC. This was my first doing this workout and I am feeling a bit frustrated. Hopefully I will warm up to this workout once I get better at some of the combos. Ab section was VERY short too, unusual for Cathe!

I am not a clean eater either. I am not tied to the idea that I have to eat perfectly in order to be healthy. I just try to get a little better all the time. Life is too short to worry so much about what we eat. Eating is a joy and part of life.

Have a great day everyone.
