I'm not ready!!!!!

Yesterday we got a call at 3:30 am. My mom, who lives 9 hours away, had fallen and was in the er. Some of you may recall my mom falling and ending up in ICU 2 years ago and I had to cancel my plans for the road trip. Fortunately, she's not hurt this time and was kept in the hospital overnight. She should be well enough for me to make the trip. (Keep everything crossed and send up mighty prayers please) My DD is being irresponsible and leading to all kinds of tension at home. My DH was going to come with me Friday, but I think he's finally begining to believe me when I say I won't be seeing much of him this weekend. Now I think he's decided to stay home, which is fine, except I'm a bit nervous about driving in big city traffic alone. Add that to my nevousness about the whole weekend and I'll be the puddle of sweat and piddle arriving at the hotel Friday afternoon. Oh, and my workout schedule has been a wreck after a long vacation, loss of sleep and DD/mother worries. Sometimes I wonder if the RT is meant to be for me.

Thanks for listening, and hopefully I'll see you Friday.

Robin~ I am so sorry to hear about your Mom! I am keeping your Mom in my prayers for a Speedy Recovery!! :) :) :)

Gin~ Thanks for the suggestions, I will be going out shopping today, maybe I can pick up one!
I loved the Rotation, I def saw a difference in defintion! The only thing I don't do is the cardio everyday...I throw it in maybe 2-3 days a week.. :)

Good morning everyone!

OMG, 3 days! I don't think I'm ready either. I have a stomach bug that has been going around at work and am hoping and praying it will be long gone by the RT. I stayed home from work today to hopefully sleep it away;(

Robin-I will surely be praying for you and your family. You have to come! I haven't been able to work out much either so I will be right there with you getting pelted:p

I can't wait to meet you all!

Kara

Hi all!!!!

Last night was MIC step only portion, felt like I needed some upper body so I done Upper Body sculpt. Tonight is suppose to be Butts & Gutts premix....I can already say "ouch"!}(

Robin - Please come...everything will work out fine! I had a friend cancel on me last minute and we were going to drive together. I didn't want to drive by myself either so I checked into Amtrak! Good rates - and everything went pretty smooth from there on out! I'll be praying for your family, it's difficult to leave when everything is kind of up in the air I'm sure.

Have a great day everybody!

Robin - Just hang in there just three more days. I know how hard it is when you have problems with your children. I have gone through lots with my older children. Just keep focused on this RT and you will be able to burn off much of your stress.

I am also looking forward to just getting away from all the arguing and ine intense feelings I get with my children at times. I have never been anywhere without at least my husband. I really need this break. I only have to think about myself and no one else for one whole weekend!

Cheryl

Good Afternoon to all!

Robin: Please, please come on the RT!! I am so looking forward to meeting you! Since you know your mom will be okay, you deserve to have some time away from the tensions at home. This is a great way for you to be around people who share your interests. You won't have to go to work, cook, clean, babysit, nothing!!! You can jusy enjoy your weekend ( okay, I realize that taking 3 classes with Cathe in one day is not exactly relaxing, but I think you know what I mean!) We will all just laugh and have fun, and I'll be sweating right along with ya! So, get your cutie booty there okay??

Cheryl: good for you getting away by yourself. You will be fine. I know about sometimes getting frustrated with kids, etc. I have such a great relationship with mine, but there are days I just want to have a thought to myself without interruption. Also, I would love to have just one weekend where I don't have to clean the same crap over and over. This summer has been ridiculous with trying to get them to clean up after themselves.

To everyone else: I am so looking forward to meeting and hanging out with all of you! It has been such a pleasure the last couple of months getting to know you all.

This morning I taught two classes in a row, so now I am home and I need to do the shower thing because I smell like a combination of neoprene( from the weights)mixed with sweat and it's kind of gross! I still have to teach another class tonight. I tell you, if this doesn't get me ready for Cathe, nothing will. Holy smokes, I kick my own butt doing this three times in a day. x(

Oh, BTW, I broke down and bought one new top and one new pair of w/o pants for the RT. Guess what color they are?? You'll never guess... yup, black!!! What a shocker!

3 more days... WOOHOO!!:D :D :D

Robin - You'd better come!!! I will have to stop by and drag your butt there if you decide not to!! >;)

For those of you who said you feel "not ready" for the trip, I hear you!!! I thought I would have myself in top shape, but I haven't actually worked out in WEEKS! gasp!!! I tried to make every hike and swim count while on vacation, but I know I am not exactly in Imax 2 condition. I am going to workout tonight and see how it goes. I'm very nervous though that I am not going to be able to keep up. My endurance usually rots as it is.

Kara - Hope you feel better ASAP!!!

Vicki - Woohoo on the new clothes! I have had clothes sitting in the closet for months waiting to be packed for this trip. I have still been working out in my rags not wanting to use any of the "new" stuff. I'm sure when I go home, I will continue to use the rags too. ;)

I posted these on the <--- thread, but not sure how many of you look at that. Here's some pics from my vacation to Yellowstone, WA, and ID:

Hi everyone!
Robin - I am pulling for you and I hope everything works out so you can come on the RT.

Liann - Thanks for sharing the pics. Awesome!! I love the one with the white tiger peeking up over the rock.

I am so busy at work I haven't had a chance to read all the posts so hopefully I'll get back later.

You guys are the best. I'll be there, I'll be there. I hope, I hope. I haven't heard from my mom yet today, but no news is good news, right? I'm going to give her a call in just a minute.

We thought we had another "issue" to confront DD with today, but "it" turned out to be a false alarm, praise God.

I just got done with Amy Bento's Step workout and I am a bucket of sweat. It wasn't pretty. I can't wait to see what it's like to work out in air conditioned spendor.

Liann, your pictures are wonderful. I love the one of you and your DH.

Kara, feel better soon! There seems to be a lot of that going around.

Vickie, I can't wait to meet you and give you a hug and a high five over the test.

Cheryl, whoo hoo on thinking of yourself this weekend. We'll burn off our parenting stress together.

Tina, I'm sorry your friend backed out.

Tess, thanks for your support.

Now, I just have to remember to pack my shoes.....

Jennifer - After all that back work plus KPC, I'll bet your back is FRIED!! Not to mention your abs.

Robin - Prayers for your mom. And for you to be able to take some time for yourself and attend the Road Trip. I really hope you can make it. If you forget your shoes, I'll workout barefoot with you.

Kara - I hope that stomach bug clears up soon and you're feeling better for the trip this weekend.

Tina - Was that Firm Upper Body sculpt? I haven't done that one in ages.

Cheryl - I'm glad you're taking the time for yourself this weekend. Too many people don't recognize the importance of that or think it's selfish. It's such a healthy, empowering thing to do.

Vicki - I know what you mean about that smell. I had the misfortune of sticking my head in the laundry basket where I keep my workout clothes this morning and BLECH! Stinky!!

Liann - Thank you for sharing your vacation pix. They are just beautiful. Don't worry about being in peak shape for the RT. Just have fun and make new friends!

Tess, Michelle, and Gin - Hi!

This morning was CTX All Step for me. It's funny looking back and thinking the choreography on this one was impossibly hard. It was really fun! I was hoping to get home and do some more cardio this evening, but this conference call just never seems to end. x( So I'm stuck in the office...... :-(

This morning, I started laying out my workout clothes for the entire weekend. I think I have just abour everything figured out; just need a couple of things to throw on between workouts. What is everyone planning on wearing between workouts? I was thinking about Nike capris and a tee. Seeing as how we're not supposed to be leaving the Gym, I don't really see any point in getting all dolled up. Any thoughts?
