Rhythmic Step

I did it for the 3rd time today and I just love it. My first time through, I did the first combo pretty well, but got so lost on the other two that I was determined to carry it through to the end and just step knee-ed about everything except for the choreographically easy moves (like the clap over the top 3 times and the squat pendulum, squat cha-cha-cha), so I was thinking it would take me 3 or 4 times to figure it all out. But the 2nd time through, I was able to mostly do everything. And today I did just great (sweating profusely though :) -- I did totally trip on the triple around the board one time though and flew across the carpet. I think I just didn't see it coming, started late, and tried to catch up :)

I, for one, LOVE all the mambos and cha-chas -- The only step I haven't been able to figure out is that over facing then coming right back on the other foot -- I've just been lunging over instead. Maybe someday I'll get it, but I don't like losing time trying to figure it out. -- Renee

Hi - I'm starting to get the routines down too, which is such a great feeling, but I sometimes I end up on the wrong side of my step! But I'm just happy getting the sequence down. I think a few more times through it, and we'll all have it down pat. Rythmic Challenge? Bring it on! :)

I love this new video. That's why her video's are so great. They never get boring.

Cedie

I think most men prefer Cedie's body type to other cast members.

My husband can't take his eyes off her! He LOVES her body! Always has from the get go!

Just goes to show you that while women may think that emaciated skinny look is in, in reality men like those sexy curves!

And rhythmic step is great -- I am learning it section by section. My DVDs arrived day before yesterday. The day they arrived, I did Section One three times and Section Two two times.

Haven't yet tackled Section Three and the Challenge.

This video has to be the most fun, most challenging step tape yet!

Loving every minute of it,

Amy

After doing this step two or three times a week since August 2 I am happy to report that I have 95% of the moves down pat. When I don't concentrate I tend to screw up but instead of step knee'ing for ten minutes trying to get back in step I can recover much more quickly and join in.

I love this routine. The music is great. The choreography is challenging but once learned this is a fun fun fun routine.

I second the vote for a Rhythmic Challenge, kind of a sequel to Rhythmic Step. How about it Cathe?

I love it too!

But my, it's a tough one and Cathe takes no prisoners. It's on to the next thing even when I am trying to gather myself after losing it! On a 4" step, dripping sweat, I must say it's fantastic and fun! I can't wait to try to conquer it again tomorrow!

Rhythmic Step Has Me Spoiled!

I finally got the choreography down and it's so much fun to do that I am really overdoing it -- it has to be my favorite Cathe all step video ever! I love challenging choregraphy and fun music and a great instructor. With Rhythmic Step you get it all!

IMO, it is the most FUN step video ever!

Mastered it on a 6" step and am now ready to move it up to 8"!

I second the vote for a Rhythmic Step Maximum Challenge -- when Cathe completes her newest work in progress! Eric's little brother or sister!

Congrats, Cathe! You too, Jon. You had a little something to do with this latest production!

RE: Rhythmic Step Has Me Spoiled!

It really is an amazing workout because in spite of all the challenging choreography, it's just plain fun. The rhythm changes make it so fast paced yet I know I'll EVENTUALLY :) be able to do it and I am hungry for more! In fact, I am blowing off my scheduled run to try again tomorrow, but I am staying at 4"!

I vote for a Rhythmic Challenge too!! I'm already looking forward to a new step video that is challenging.

When I previewed the workout, the moves seemed to flow together so smoothly, but I admit that my feet and brain didn't quite get it all when I finally did the workout (brain 95%/feet 85%?). I think this is as much a mental workout as a physical workout---if you let your attention wander, it's easy to get lost!. I especially got tripped up when going back to a move that we hadn't done for a while (but it's normal, since it was the first time I did it, and I was using working memory rather than long-term memory). It's a good thing Cathe is such a great cuer, otherwise I'd really be lost!
