Rhea's April Rotation

Yep, that seems so early to me. It was very tough this morning. I could have slept for a couple more hours it seemed. (even though I was in bed by 8:30!) This weekend, I think I'll plan a nap so that I can get a little more rest. With the weather though this weekend that might be tough! Supposed to be nice and warm.

Well, day 10...was the GS chest and triceps. That is a tough workout. I didn't get in the 20 minutes of light "run" or anytype of cardio. I ran out of time. I'm tired today, so probably a good thing to skip. I'll see if there is any energy later when I'm out working in the yard...I just know I'll be out there!

Have a great day and great weekend. I know I'll be busy.

Hi Rhea!

Just popping on to say "hi." I'm glad that you got the workout in, though. I was up a little later than I wanted to be -- got up at 6:30 instead of 6:00 -- so the workout was a little later -- did the last 2/3's of BodyMax -- gee, that's a good workout. My forearms and biceps are burning... Plus it got the ole' heart rate up there -- turns out, however, that it was about a 70 minute workout -- and I have this consideration that anything over 60 minutes is hard for me to do.

Well, time limitations and all -- no matter the weather -- I'll be at my computer trying to write those pages. I'm trying for 10 a day -- which is tough for me -- I'm not particularly a fast writer -- but I'm determined to do 10 a day -- did 8 yesterday -- took me all day, though.x(

I'm really loving this particular story -- I love them all -- but this one is close to my heart for some reason... Doesn't mean it will sell better though. Funny that...

Have a great one.:7

Rhea, you're not the only one I know that's been tired lately. Could be something to do with the time change maybe. I've even been getting a little catnap in around 6:00 p.m. Just resting the eyelids for a bit...

Think the weather here is supposed to be pretty nice. It's my day off so will be doing some housework and shopping. Then a bike ride with a couple friends around 4:30. Think we're heading up 139 and down to the Willow Creek side for some climbing practice. If the wind's not blowing, it's usually a pretty nice downhill coming back down toward the college.

GS Chest and Triceps scared me with all the pushups. I've worked my way up with pushups but don't think I could do the amount that's on this DVD. Think there's like 1000 or so.

Enjoy the yard work and rest up!

Jeanette

Hi Rhea!

Just checking in to say "hi."

No workout for me today. Just working...

Have a good one.:7

HI Karen!

Glad to see you are keepin up with your "schedule." I would have a great problem working at home, too many things to distract me.

Sat was GS floor, PLB floor, coremax #3, and stretch max#3. Realized I hadn't done #3 of the stretch tape. Awesome stretches! Better at the ball thing this time too. Didn't go to one-legged stuff, kept to the two legs so can build up the endurance.

Sunday was day off, TG! I needed it.

Today was KickMax, but only did the cardio/leg conditioning premix. Ran out of time. Yard work planned for the evening, so that always adds to my actual physical activity time.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Rhea!

I'm running late again. Got up and got IMAX2 done -- I absolutely love that workout -- and then went to work -- but had a chiro appointment way out -- about 40 minutes from me -- and in total it took about 3 hours -- traffic and then something from the grocery store -- post office -- so finally settling down to get some real work done.

Yes, there are so many distractions -- I think it's why authors sometimes just disappear (so to speak) in order to write.:+

But anyway, better late than not at all.

I like the way you break things up with your workouts -- like I said, I'm getting DVD's from now on so that I can do that.

Have a great one.;)

Hi Karen!

The different break outs are actually from Cathe. I'm really enjoying this rotation. I've never did so many weight workouts since I tend to grab the cardio ones. But it has been very good for me to focus on body parts. I'm wondering what she'll come up with next month.

I did IMAX2 this morning. Stats were: kcals - 370, about an hour workout (couldn't get the dvd to run at first, it had something on it!) Forgot to look at the rest of the stats, darn it. I was surprised at the amount of calories burned since I toned it down a bunch for my knees. Still got a great workout and I'm a little pooped right now, but after lunch, I should be just hunky dory.

Well, Have a great day! Talk to you later.

Hi Rhea,

That's interesting, what you're saying about the strength rotation. Like you, I like my cardio and would tend toward it rather than strength. Of course, IMAX2 is a favorite of mine.

Woke up with a headache -- threw something out of place on Saturday when I was doing Rhythmic Step -- went to chiro on Monday, but it's back today -- might stretch again today. (I've already had one stretch today.) Sunday, when I strethed, things rather calmed down.

Glad you had a good workout. Talk to you later.

PS: Have to seen the movie Two Week's Notice -- Sandra Bullock plays an attorney. I love that movie -- when I see it, I often think of you.

Have a great one.:7

Hope you are feeling better soon Karen. I have a copy of Two Weeks, I just love Sandra Bullock. I have a lot of her movies!

This morning was GS standing legs. Supposed to do a coremax too, but ran out of time. Plus, court has pooped me out this week. Right now (around 4:20 p.m., I'm completely bushed) I upped the poundage on the bar bell for squats, I should be nice a sore tomorrow. I could feel hamstrings on the way up all the stairs I did today.

Hi Rhea!

Sounds like this rotation is really going great with you. I've never done a strength rotation -- usually like my cardio too much. But it's interesting watching you on it.

Funny, I had posted something here yesterday, but it didn't take -- probably I pressed the wrong button or something.:+

I love Sandra Bullock and I love her in this movie, too. Play it over and over and over -- something I often do when I'm under deadline...

Well, for me today it was Power Hour -- that's really a good workout. I need to add this to my rotation more often. Also went for a walk after finishing writing -- but not a power walk -- just a walk.

Okay, have a great day tomorrow.:7

Okay, today's report..

Did GS chest and triceps. I dread those darn push-ups every time. This morning didn't have a whole lot of energy for them either. I also didn't do real well on the tricep dips for the same reason. Probably a carb hangover from all the Mexican food I ate last night. I felt like I ate and ate and ate and ate. Boy was it good.

Oh, didn't have enough time for my "20 minute light run", I figured I'll get a some cardio in with the yard work this afternoon after I sneak out of here. :D

Hi Rhea,

Gosh, that Mexican food sounds good -- it's been a while for me.

I, too, was tired out this morning -- I've been trying to write first thing in the morning and then exercise at noon, but today, I was so tired that I knew I needed to wake myself up -- so I got up and did IMAX first thing.

Yeah, yard work with get the ole heart rate up there. I need to do some, as well, but may wait until I get the herbs and plants for the yard that I just ordered.

Have a great one.

Haven't had a chance to post lately.

Let's see. Saturday ended up being off as I went to Chico with DH.
Sunday did GS floor, PLB floor, Coremax #2 and Stretchmax #3. Great workout.

Monday, got up, but just didn't want to work out. Was very tired and extremely cranky all day. Wasn't very aware of things either, just plain out of it. So took this morning off too. Had about nine hours of sleep, much better. Hopefully will be back on track soon.

Hi Rhea!

Glad to see you posting again. I'm sure you'll be back on track soon. Sometimes, you just need to get a bunch of sleep.

Sounds like you're hanging in there, though.

Have a good one.

Rhea, hope you're feeling better and more rested. Seems like all the ladies I talk to have been tired in the afternoons. Might be a Susanville thang? This darned wind. Thought about you on Sunday afternoon. Did the Johnstonville Rd./Richmond Rd. loop on Sunday. What a tailwind!!! Hit 35 on the flat after the Richmond School hill (heading east of course). It's pretty fun to go that fast but miserable when you're riding into the wind.

Take care and the sun will eventually shine for more than a couple days. Sheesh, what a winter and now spring.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Still on rest mode. Took out the weights last night for a possible GS BSB, but slept in a bit instead. Then got up and had coffee while contemplating the sunrise, such as it was. Still slept almost nine hours, so the outdoor activity must be taking a toll. 4th week of early morning, plus all that outdoor stuff was a bit too much for me I guess. Tomorrow may be better, especially if it rains this afternoon for any amount of time. I really don't mind the clouds, makes it a bit cooler for the heavier physical work.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Rhea!

I, too, like the cloudy days -- it does make it cooler, which I enjoy. Looks like sleep was really needed. I know after this deadline, I will probably do the same. Right now I'm kinda running on empty.

Oh, wanted to ask you -- do you have any of the Kick Butt WHFN's? And if you do, I was wondering if you could tell me how you like them, and how they might compare to Cathe -- if a comparison could be made. I know Jeanie really likes them.

I'm looking to purchase a few movies workouts, and am looking at Cathe, but then also at the Kick Butt workouts. I probably would have gone ahead and purchased Cathe instead, but some of her DVD's are out of stock at the moment.

Anyway, have a great day in jail.:+ :7

Karen,

I haven't any of the WHFN's, yet. I've been too afraid to order since I really like Cathe stuff and some of the Fitprimes just seemed to easy after a while. But, I do have to remember that one doesn't need to workout "hard" all the time. Geeze, three weeks on the Cathe rotation and I'm pooped.

Rested again today, slept 10 hours this time. I think I still want to hibernate. That's the problem, yep. Okay, so the yard work is tuff and wearing me out.
