To all my wonderful Cathe-friends:
Thank you so much for all your kind words and support. Losing Hunter has been so incredibly hard, and it has truly helped to have you all here to turn to. It's so special to read each and every message sent to me. Thank you for your hugs. I loved every single one.
Regarding rescued animals that need adopting:
Hunter was a rescued animal and so is Maeve. We got Hunter when he was 2 years old from the Humane Society of Michigan. He needed a home and we fell in love with him the first time we laid eyes on him.
Maeve was just a puppy when someone tied her up and left her. Can you imagine abandoning any animal, let alone a little puppy only weeks old? We adopted her from the Humane Society also. She had some SERIOUS fear issue when we adopted her, but she's worked through them.
There would be no other way for me to get a dog or a cat. It breaks my heart to see all those precious animals just wanting and needing a home and family of their own.
I TRULY believe in my heart that Hunter knew (and Maeve knows, too) that they have been rescued. They do know. And their loyalty and devotion is amazing. They're so special.
I don't know if or when we'll get a second dog, but if we do it'll most certainly be an animal who's been rescued and needs a home & family to call their own.
Blessings to all of you who've helped me this week.
