I have the velco strap ankle weights that could go up to 6#s, but I only have the plates for 5#. I bought them from the Firm many ages ago. I feel good to be able to use them again.
Wowzie Wow! I can't imagine using 10#'s. Do you ever put that much weight on your legs?
I used 5# strap on weights when 'doing Jane' with the record when it first came out,(remember those days?). While doing the scissor move, (on your back with your legs straight up in the air) those strap on weights shifted and my legs came down so fast and with such a jolt, that I injured my back....big time.
Traction and having to stay in bed, laying on my back for 6 months was not fun. In those days, doctors kept you exercise free during back injury recovery.
You heal much faster these days with the new emphasis on movement.
But on the Legs and Glutes, the first leg did fine with the 3#'s, the second leg was not happy until I lowered down to 1#. Like you, I think by alternating which leg you start with each time, the legs will eventually get used to the added weight.

I'm really enjoying this new series. I'm still looking forward to the premixes though. I want to try one of AJ's or Jilly's mish moshes that they come up with. I'm sure it will be brutal.}( Ah, a brute for punishment, that's me. :7
