Questions for Lift, Move & Restore 2 Elevated - Questions??

Those of us who want "elevated" stuff, we are also in our own right to question the intensity of the content.

I am sure Cathe is aware!

That being said, i do not know why people keep on asking for modifications.
Showing modifications is a norm for fitness instructors. Cathe always show them
That is an annoying old song.
Cathe doesn't  always show mods - she sometimes does or verbalizes them tho. Maybe this series will be different and she'll have a modifying cast member for up and down - that would be great. I think she did great with mods for equipment in STS2.0.

Cathe cueing is one of the best. The instructions are to be delivered verbally or visually.
Verbal instructions are not ruled out. Let's not forget Cathe has an hour to deliver the entire content.
It is not always possible to show everything. Those details are not neglected for sure.

I think you meant " not neglected". ;) But two cast members to watch for up and down mods wouldn't affect the time and would appeal to more people. JMHO.
The FIRM used to do this, at least in some of their early 2000s videos. They always had someone in the back demoing beginner modifications, at least. Trying to remember if they had someone also demoing advanced or if that was always the lead. So yes, it's possible to just say "follow so-and-so" for beginner / advanced modifications.

Yes, you’re right….and also Jessica Smith. she usually always had 2 cast members, her mom & another lady, and a lot of times she would be having her mom show a slightly easier version, the other lady showing an advanced version & Jessica would usually do somewhere in between. You could then pick your level or alternate between the different
ones.

I have to admit- I'm surprised o_O
This is the first time I’ve been so confused about a Cathe preorder (I’m referring to the target audience). The video everyone is talking about really confused me & almost caused me to bypass this preorder. I did preorder late last night knowing that I have reservations about the final product. I have never canceled a preorder and I won’t cancel this one so I hope LMR 2: Elevate matches up with the description that has been posted in the advertisements.

I’ve found Cathe’s instruction in her workouts pretty good and I would like her instructions in LMR 2: Elevate to focus on the target audience. Adding a modifier or instructions on modifications wouldn’t bother me as long as they don’t interrupt the flow of the workout. If there are too many modifications I would rather have a premix showing the workout with modifications that would help people to transition to the main program.

I have quite a few DVD workouts that show at least one person doing an easier version. Some of them also show a person doing more advanced. Cathe also sometimes uses layering where she starts with an easier version and progresses up to a harder version. Those who can't do the harder version can stick with one of the easier versions. I've seen this layering used quite a lot with Pilates workouts too, often with 3-4 layers of difficulty. I like this technique as you know how to progress to the harder versions when you are ready.

Layering is a great skill and Cathe is great at it ..... We should be grateful for that IMHO.

I just do not understand all these dramas about cueing modifications!
Many here have been working out cathe for years and can figure out their own modifications to match their fitness level.

Having two cast for modifications can affect le flow of the entire workout.

It is not always possible. For example for kickboxing. it is not possible IMO.
in other words, modifications still need to be cued but it is not always possible.

I think Cathe is doing a great job providing modifications.

If someone needs that many modifications maybe it isn't the right workout for them. Not meant to be critical in any way. That's the main reason for my concerns with this new release. How much will I have to modify and if it is so much that I am not really following along, then it would seem this series is not for me.

I don't understand why Cathe can't be clearer. No one is asking for a list of the individual exercises just a clearer picture of what we will be getting.

I agree…. I don’t always need modifications, but I want to feel like I’m in the workout.
That’s why I am keeping my options open ….maybe till close to the end, whether or
not I will keep my order.

I agree .....Neither do I mean to be critical or shade anyone!

It can get frustrating but it is up to each one of us, not a group of people, to face the challenge.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. As it applies to me, I've tried modifying both up and down with various workouts for a number of different reasons. It has been my experience that it is always better to use a workout that is appropriate for my fitness level at any given time.

(I'm not talking about modifying a couple of exercises).
