Question for Fitness Freak

According to myfitness pal I need to only eat 1200 calories. I am 5'0 weigh 122.6lbs and you know I am very active, do you think this is realistic or should I consume more?

1200 calories is way too low for you. If you want to stay at the weight you are, you should be eating 1949 calories a day because you workout 6 days a week.

To lose weight, I show you should be eating between 1365 and 1560 calories. I would stick with 1400 a day and see how that goes for you. I think anything below that will not give you the nutrients or energy you need for you kick ass workouts. :p
 
Thanks Debbie I thought that was to low if I remember right the cathe site said 1450. I tried the Syntha from GNC strawberry and it was really good I was surprised.
 
Its a sustained release protein drink biactive protein utilitzation enzyme, BCAAs and other amino acids MCT EFAs glutamine peptides fiber non aspartame.
 
I was thinking about doing a GS rotation next month but wanted to know what your thoughts on this were. I believe I am and endo because I am biggest at the hips so would it be better to do cardio 4 times a week and do a total body 2 times a week or would the above mentioned rotation be ok?

Yes, stick with total body for now. If you are an endo, you need more cardio. So do total body twice a week, maybe a circuit workout once and cardio three times. See how that goes.

How did you know about that? LOL! I will be making up a 4 week (possibly 8 week) rotation starting Dec. 1st. I'm going to incorporate Gym Style and 4DS workouts and see what I can come up with. Then I'll make a thread in the checkin forum for anyone who wants to follow it. I hope you will join me!
 
I always read hardcore maniacs but I don't think I am hard core enough to join your group I admire everyone on there.

Hi Hope you r having a good day. I've asked you a few questions before and you always have answered me so thanks for that. Here's my problem/question. I workout 5-6 days week doing yours/cathe's rotation so that you know the intensity. I'm 34 5'2 and weigh 125lbs. My macro's are generally 50%pro 30%carb 20%fat. My calories are around 1400-1600 calories a day. I have pretty good muscle definition but I just want a little more. My goal is to be between 118-120lbs. But it's sooo hard for me to get there. I eat clean no processed food I take my supplements and I usually have one cheat meal a week. I was wondering if you had any advice for me. I'm currently doing 4ds split in this order :

wed-HIS/CH-BA
thurs-KB/lLEGS-ABS
fri-LIS/SHO-CALVES
sat-BC/-BI-TRI
sun-LEGS-CALVES ABS
mon-MM-UB PREMIX PUSHPULL ONLY

I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Is it just that that is my natural body weight and it wont go any lower? I actually did get down once to 120 lbs but my calorie intake was around 1200-1300 calories. The lowest I can get down to is usually around 124 123 if I'm lucky but it's sooo hard to stay there. HELP!!!! Thank you so much for reading this. Lilly I also would love to do the check in with you for gymstyle and 4DS....

I also noticed that when I do have a cheat meal my weight will go up to 127 lbs then I lose it quickly during the week so like I'm back to square one. I really dont want to give up my cheat meals. I use to have cheat days the realized I was sabotaging myself. Anyway thanks..

It's really hard to build muscle and not gain weight. My body is at its happiest at 130#. When I get down to 124-125# I start getting comments like, "Your too thin", "Are you losing weight" stuff like that. Those kinds of comments irritate me to no end. So you really have to get away from the "scale" or "weight" and be where the mirror says is your best. Everyone is so hung up on weight that it detours us to be what we shouldn't be.

Your rotation is a good one, but to gain muscle you need to do less cardio and do weight training on days with no cardio. I will be making up a rotation like this for December so if you want to follow it, feel free. You may see some dramatic results with it. I will also be doing a checkin for this rotation for those who want to do that with me as well.

So to build more muscle you need to do a rotation like this or something similar:

Wed.: Chest & Tri's
Thurs: Cardio
Fri.: Legs & Calves
Sat.: Shoulders & abs
Sun.: Cardio
Mon.: Back & Biceps & abs


I will be doing something similar to this in December using Gym Style and 4DS workouts. Maybe even a few others to mix it up a bit. I say finish out what you are doing and then join me with the rotation I will put out there middle of next week. We will do it for 4 weeks and then see what results you get.

How does that sound?

And you calorie intake seems fine to me. I wouldn't go below 1400 calories, though. And don't worry about the cheat meal or day, we all need those to keep us sane. Usually its only water weight we gain with our cheats.
 
Debbie: I just checked in over here and am so happy you are creating a new rotation for December with a check in for everyone. I am really looking for a muscle strength gain rotation and this sounds like it will be perfect! I have only really ever done endurance / cardio rotations and think I'm finally ready to give something else a try. Thanks in advance! :)

OMG! Just jumpin' in; hope you guys don't mind. Debbie, I'm excited about your next rotation and your checkin. I've read the different checkin's, mainly the hardcore maniacs to pick up a few tips and wondered how to join. I've done your leg blast 08 rotation and am currently doing the one body part and am really enjoying it. Just wanted to say thanks. They really should put you on the payroll.
