Question for Christi fans!

Her workouts are MAJOR sweat producers! Not to worry!

Fantastic Four is TOTALLY the way to go!! I bought it at www.deepdiscountdvd.com for, I think, $11. I love the choreography of Still Jumpin', but I think Hi/Lo Heaven wins by a hair because it contains the song "Baby, I'm A Star" and Prince will always sway a vote for me. Christi's music is so fun!! And her workouts are a nice respite from the intensity and impact of Cathe. I have yet to try any of her step workouts (as I'm scared of breaking an ankle or falling into my TV), but her hi/lo is super fun!!!

Fantastic Four is a must. The Totally Series and Solid Gold are great. I haven't tried it, but I understand Mission Possible is more geared to beginner/intermediates or those who aren't familiar with Christi.

Christi is my favorite -- I just did Step Heaven this morning and it's a great way to kick off a Monday!

Yes, in Hi Low Heaven she does. It's 90 min long, broken into 3 different sections with an optional cool down after every one. The first is easier (not easy) choreography, the second is more complex choreography and the third is a circuit workout alternating weights and cardio. The weights are nothing like Cathe, it's all compound movements using lighter weight. She also gets your heart rate up in Still Jumpin too, it's just not as much for to me is all.

>I'm not into a lot of her new ones,
>they aren't as street dancy, as you put it.

Kathy - would you mind telling me which of the new ones might fall into the not street dancy category? I'm thinking to order the following workouts (sorry, I'm listing them again, but just in case you didn't see it before) :

FunkTional Fitness
Mission Possible
Totally Hot Cardio
Fantastic Four

And possibly Solid Gold Cardio

I've read the reviews and the two top ones talked a lot about annoying people in the background, or that the workout itself wasn't the usual Christi.

Would you consider any of these to be out of the street dance category? Many thanks!

P.S. You've gotta search down a copy of Happy Hour!

P.P.S. I'm a beginner step, so that's why I was thinking to try out Mission Possible...

Another Christi fan here. I love Fantastic Four and Totally Cool Step and Totally Hot Cardio.

Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

August:

I love Christi’s hi-lo workouts but do not care for her step workouts. Happy Hour Hi-Lo is okay, but Hi-Lo Heaven has much better music and is a lot more fun in my opinion. The Fantastic Four DVD is worth it for Hi-Lo Heaven.

Mission Possible and Cardio Collectibles are her newer ones. I do not have Mission Possible. I love Cardio Collectibles, but it is more mambo cha cha and tango than street dancy.

I recommend that you skip Mission Possible and order one of the last copies of Humble Beginnings from Christi’s website. It is out of print and will no longer be available. The CIA 5004 hi-lo workout is fun and funky! If you like street dancy, this is the way to go. You will also get CIA 7002 and CIA 9801. If you can deal with dated hair and outfits, get this set while you still can! The 3 steps workouts are on one DVD, and the 3 hi-lo workouts are on a separate DVD. If you do not like her step workouts, you can give that DVD to someone who does.

My favorite Christi Taylor hi-lo workouts are: CIA 5004, Hi-Lo Heaven, and Cardio Collectibles.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

Heather B.,

I appreciate such a detailed response. And you changed my mind.

I think I'll pass on the Mission Possible. So it will be these:

Fantastic Four
Humble Beginnings
FunkTional Fitness
Totally Hot Cardio

Thank you everyone for all your help in my decision making!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

I am selling Cardio Collectibles on Amazon.com. I don't really like hi/lo as much as step. I only did the workout once. I am the lowest seller if you want it too.

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

August, would you please come to your senses and get over this. It is only a matter of time before you realize what you are saying!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

Becky - thank you for your offer. Good luck on the sell!

Kate - You're so jealous. LOL.

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

August,

I would take Becky up on her offer. Cardio Collectibles is Christi's newest tape, and it is alot of fun. I have them all and I love them in this order from best to worst ( if that is possible )

Fantastic Four
Happy Hour Hi/lo
Happy Hour Step
Cardio Collectibles
Solid Gold Series
Totally series.

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

Hi, Conni,

Thank you for your advice.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've rererereread the reviews (including yours from two years back) and watched the samples and searched the Christi threads LMAO! Cripes, I think I've just about mastered the moves of the minute samples I've watched a billion times trying to figure out which workouts to get LOL. I've read so much about Theresa now that I'm actually getting curious to see her! :D (Or maybe...not ;) )

Okay, I'm looking for something more "street" feel, but since I keep hearing about Cardio Collectables, I'm going to give it another few hundred looks.

Thank you!

P.S. Becky, just so you know, I live in Japan so it's better for me to order things in a clump from the same place (shipping), and though I'd love to purchase your DVD, I'm going to have to pass on it, but thank you for telling me about it!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

jdsjfjadsdklka. August, think of what you doing, get a hold of yourself!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

Kate, you weirdo, go away, can't you see I'm busy trying to give myself a major headache?! :*

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

>Well, thank you to someone. Cardio Collectibles has sold!
>

That would be me. August, my fiend...er...friend, in Cardiohateville has weakened my defenses and I was unable to resist once she made it clear she would not be interested in it herself. Sorry Kate--lol!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

OMG!!!!!!! TOOOOOOO FUNNY!

Michele! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 LMAO!

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

I have Mission Possible and Fantastic Four but never felt brave enough to give them serious consideration. After reading this, I decided I was going to do it and I'm making progress!! My question is - what kind of workout it Happy Hour and where can you find it? I'm trying to decide what my next purchase should be. (By the way, I prefer step over hi/lo.)

RE: Christi Taylor Hi-Lo Recommendations

Well, there are two cardio workouts in that series, Happy Hour Hi/Lo, and the Stepping Zone. Both are excellent workouts. I find myself reaching for these alot when I need a Christi fix. Both also have nice ab sections at the end of the workouts as well. I would get both if I were you. I think these stand the test of time very nicely.
