Happy Monday! I am getting us started for the new week. Look what we will be receiving from Cathe for a Christmas present this year:

Yippee! Perfect timing! I was hoping to start STS the first full week in January. I am doing the happy dance this morning! I need to keep my focus and game face on and keep pressing on so I will be ready.

See y’all tonight with an update on my workouts for yesterday and today. Have a fun and blessed day! Hugs to Gin, Lara, Laura, and Randi. Hugs to Liann and Robin too. I miss both of you.

Blessings,
Heather B.

I posted yesterday and then lost it when our internet switched off. Ugh!

Thanks for getting us started, Heather. I love seeing you here!

Friday was Step Blast, and it was lots of fun. Saturday I did CTX Leaner Legs. It was tough, and I enjoyed it. Sunday was a rest day.

Yesterday I ran 2 1/2 miles, up and down hills, at 4000 feet altitude, in the tropical sun. I was so hot I went straight to the pool and jumped in clothes and all! :D I just have to add on all the disclaimers because I feel so wimpy saying that I ran just 2 1/2 miles! I do realize that it's a matter of what my muscles are used to, and that if I stick with the road-running that I can get back into the swing of things. Hey, a few years ago I actually did an adventure race that included not only a 10K run but a 20K bike ride and then another 10K bike ride (not to mention a quarter mile swim and a half mile, up current rafting assignment). So I can increase my running! In fact, I'm thinking about training for a half-marathon. Right now I'm really needing a specific goal to shoot for, rather than just maintaining a "regular exercise program." So we'll see. DH was really encouraging when I mentioned the half-marathon to him. :)

Hope your week is off to a good start. Not sure what today will be for me. I'm thinking about making it another rest day.

Hey, you 35 lurkers who have viewed this thread but not posted . . .

show yourselves!!!!

Ha! Here I am, Laura. I've been super busy trying to keep up with the family and some friends. I'm lucky to get a workout done lately, much less post. I'm home today, though, and should be able to catch up around here. I think your running sounds great. I didn't know you were planning a half marathon. Good luck. I haven't run since my knee surgury. I'm askeered to.

Hi Heather. I'm not getting STS.:( I may have to absent myself from the forums in January. All the hoopla when STS finally is released will be depressing for those of us who couldn't afford it.:(:(

Kara, have I missed pictures? How are things going.

Hi to any other lurking PYGFOers!

PYGFO Check-in

PYGFO Sisters:

Good morning! What a joy to see smiling faces in here this morning! I was getting lonely in here. I went to bed early last night, so this is my update for Sunday and Monday.

I enjoyed a restful Sunday. I woke up with sore feet after walking at the mall Saturday afternoon, but I pressed on through my workout and had a blast with the 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio premix. The Nike Air Max shoes I wear for kickboxing are super cushy and comfortable. I am so glad I bought another pair of these when they were on clearance. My feet did not slow me down at all. I was having too much fun! This is one of my favorite happy workouts.

I burned a few extra calories during a bonus workout after the worship service. Our associate pastor asked us to help stack and move chairs so the neighborhood kids can play in the gym after school this week. We only cleared one of the basketball courts, and it took 30 minutes with plenty of helping hands. I cannot imagine how long it would take our maintenance men to move 1,500 chairs into the storage room and set them up again before next Sunday. I was delighted to help and be a blessing to the staff and crew.

Monday was a fun first day of fall. After my morning quiet time, I danced around my workout room with the 4-Day Split Lower Intensity Step cardio premix on the floor. This workout is more fun without a step!

I received a precious e-mail of encouragement from a friend who is so inspired by the positive turn I have made in my life. My birthday retreat was my breakthrough, the first worship service in our new Life Center gave me another burst of inspiration and transformation, and I have been taking baby steps in the right direction every day.

I had a blast with my second Zumba class last night. I wondered if Cathe called my instructor because she added a few planks and mountain climbers in the middle of class. LOL! She laughed out loud at my reaction and told me that she loves to watch my facial expressions because I smile and sparkle the whole hour. I am having so much fun! Some of the moves last night reminded me of one of Christi Taylor’s dancy cool-downs. I want to revisit my Christi Taylor and Kari Anderson hi-lo workouts.

Fitness is about freedom and fun. I am enjoying the journey every step of the way. I know that I will need to work harder eventually, but I am determined to find a way to keep the joy in the journey.

Laura, wow on that run! That is not wimpy at all. I was excited when I ran my first mile in May. That adventure race sounds like a big adventure. I think I will stick with dancy workouts and cheer for you from the sidelines. LOL!

Robin, I am doing the happy dance. I am so glad to see you checking in again. I have missed you and was fixin’ to pull out my Who’s Who book from last year and send you an e-mail. Give Liann a kick in the butt and send her this way. I miss her too! We need to keep a fun check-in going in January so our non-STS friends can stay in touch. I hope Cathe and Chris do not get tired of all the questions and stop having the long presales with deep discounts. That makes these workouts affordable for me.

Have a fun and blessed day! I am hoping to return tonight with an update on my workouts for today.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

I am trying to get in a quick post while Finley is still sleeping. I have started several posts, but am usually never able to finish them. Yesterday she was up all day without a nap and today she is sleeping like a little angle. I guess we haven't established a schedule yet!
Over the past few days I have done B&G (no abs), ME upper body premix, and 60 minutes on the TM. I need to get some more cardio in today if I have time. I am really wanting to work my abs, but they say not to for 6 weeks. I guess I have 3 weeks to go. I am doing some core work, but no crunches of any kind.

Heather...I am so excited to hear STS will be ready for Christmas. I know my body will be ready for the challenge by then!! Your Zumba class sounds so fun! Yes, I do want to sit and stare at Finley all day:). I can't beleive how much she has grown in 3 weeks!!

Laura...Your run sounds wonderful!! I feel like I could do Cathe workouts all day, but when it comes to running, no way!! The farthest I have ever run in one outing is 5.65 miles for a quarter of a marathon. It was so much fun, but I haven't done it since!! Good luck with your training.

Robin...So good to see you again!! No, I am a slacker on the pictures!! I will try to get some up soon!! I know I keep saying that, but I really will try!!

Hello to Gin, Randi, and anyone else who stops by!!!

I would love to go workout right now, but we have company coming over to see Finley. I think my mom will come by later this afternoon so I can at least get a walk in. Have a great Tuesday!!!

Hi Girlies!

Today I did PP and 4ds bis and tris and SM#3. Sunday was PP and 4ds chest and back and Classical Stretch and Monday was run, CM2 and KM low impact timesaver.
I am enjoying my new teaching job. The day seems to go by quickly, so I must be getting used to the longer hours. We went on a Field Trip today to an apple orchard....fun!
Does anyone else watch Dancing with the Stars? Love that show.

Heather~You so sound so good. It sounds as if you have been getting in some good workouts. I am also looking forward to STS to start the new year!

Laura~Running hills is always a challenge in my book, no matter what distance. WTG!!:) I am also thinking about running a Half Marathon in Feb. I have a lot of training to do. My problem is that I have become injured the last 2 times during training and then am sidelined for months!!

Robin~You are probably smart to stay away from running since your knee surgery and just do what you can. You are stepping now, aren't you?

Lara~How is sweet baby Finley? Did you ever think that taking care of a little newborn could be a fulltime job and then some?? I'm so impressed that you are still abe to get some workouts in.

Waving hi to Liann and Randi and any "lurkers" that Laura mentioned!!:D

PYGFO Check-in

PYGFO Sisters:

Supersets was my workout after my morning quiet time. I am getting stronger every week, and my lower body endurance is returning. I have not planned my rotation for next month yet, but I imagine that I will be ready for Muscle Endurance and Muscle Max or possibly Pyramid Upper Body and Leaner Legs. I want to revisit the 4-Day Split in November and the Slow and Heavy Series in December before STS arrives. I am waiting with great expectation for that preview party!

Kick, Punch, & Crunch is in my DVD player for a morning premix, and a Zumba class at the club is in the game plan for tomorrow evening. Fun, fun, fun! I experienced downtime this summer and alternated between going through the motions and not working out at all. It feels so good to be excited about my fitness journey again and looking forward to all my workouts. Exercise is no longer a duty. It is a delight. I am eating and exercising intuitively, finding a place of balance and moderation, and treating my body with gentleness and respect. I feel good.

I watched The Biggest Loser tonight, and I love Michelle from Dallas. She displayed a great attitude and was not discouraged by losing 2 pounds this week. I am cheering for her as a local favorite.

Hugs and sweet dreams to all my PYGFO friends!

Lara, it is good to see you again. I am waiting patiently for baby pictures.

Gin, your field trip sounds like fun. I am looking forward to Honeycrisp apples. I tasted those for the first time last fall thanks to this check-in. Yummy! I love Dancing With the Stars. My favorite season was the year Emmitt Smith won!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

I got to take a short-notice trip to the capital with DH and NO KIDS! It was a fast but fun 24 hours. I did miss my workouts both yesterday and today as a result. :( But it was worth it since time alone with DH is really rare with 3 little ones. One of our good friends spent the night here with our kids, and all was well upon our return. But a trip to the capital usually means GOOD FOOD, so I need to get back on the clean eating bandwagon and get back to the workouts.

Heather--Glad you are enjoying workout out.

Lara--Hugs to little Finley!

Gin--Glad that you are enjoying your new job. My 1/2 marathon might be in February, too. I'm trying to decide when to do it, since I will probably be the host and organizer. Yikes. I've never done that before. I know of several friends who would likely do it with me if I plan it.

Robin--Thanks for posting. You are a busy lady, I know.

Waves to Randi and Amber and any lurkers. ;)

Hello.

I am hoping to get a full post in b/f Finley wakes up! She didn't go to sleep until 3 this morning. I am hoping for an earlier night tonight!
I was able to squeeze in MM this morning. My MIL came over this afternoon to watch Finley so I could do some paper work. I may try to walk on the TM in a little while.
My mom is going to watch Finley for an hour or two tonight so DH and I can go down to Bikes Blues and BBQ. It is a huge biker festival that happens once every year. We are not really into motorcycles (I have never been on one), but it is intersting to see all of the people. There is a ton of entertainment also. It will be nice to get out a little while with DH.

Gin...I knew having a baby would be hard work, but I did not realize having a baby would be a full time job and then some!! It is all worth it though:). I watch Dancing With the Stars. I love it! Who are your favorites? I like Lance Bass, Misty May, and Brooke Burke the best so far. I wish I could dance like that (and have a dancer's body)!!!

Heather...I am so glad you are feeling good!!! You sound so positive. Have fun with your workouts!!

Laura...Your trip sounds wonderful. I am glad you got to spend some time with DH. I hope you enjoyed the good food. I am sure it was worth the missed workouts!

Yea!! I got to finish my post!!! Hi to everyone else!! Have a great evening:)

Hey Guys!
I've missed ya'll! Been working 7 days in a row blah! I took a couple days off of working out, I needed it! Yesterday I'm starting 4DS. LIS, shoulders abs calves and cardio. I think i'm just gonna stick with just a week of endurance b/4 I start my next months rotations. How is everyone?

Hello.

Today I did KM low impact kickbox premix. It was the first cardio I have done that was not on the TM. I had to just jump in place for jumping jacks. It felt a little different than before I had the baby. I hope that goes away soon! I am hoping to return full force to my workouts after I am cleared at my 6 week check-up! I still have to wait a few weeks I guess.

Hi Randi!! Sorry about your long work schedule! I can't wait to do 4DS again!! Have fun!! Do you have some time off from work this week?

I hope you are all having a great weekend:)
