Hello.

I finally posted pictures of Finley on my picture trail!!!!! Sorry it took me so long! She has already changed so much since these were taken. She was 1-2 days old in all of these pictures. I will upload more current pictures soon and keep you posted when I do.
Have a great Sunday!!

Lara--Thanks for posting pictures. Finley is adorable. The picture with your dog is a hoot! (I forget your dog's name.) But I think my favorite is the one with her in the little pink and white striped gown and she has one arm up by her face. She is so beautiful and sweet looking in that picture!

Randi--Sorry about your yucky work schedule! How are plans for school coming? Sounds like you might need a change of pace!

Gin--I hope you can train for a race and not get injured! It would be fun to both be training! :D

I want to thank all you girls SO MUCH for how encouraging you have been about my running. It IS tough to transition, even when you are in shape. In the States, I had been running at least once a week, 3 miles, but on a treadmill. This is so totally different, and it's been a little overwhelming. But your encouragement has been extremely helpful.

Fri & Sat were both landmark workouts for me. Friday I PLODDED the whole 3-mile circuit around our subdivision. There are 5 hills, and on the last 2, I had to walk about 100m each. But otherwise, I made it. I was worn out but thrilled.

Saturday I did a whole upper body workout for the first time in 4 months. I was CAUTIOUS but I did it. Actually, I did PP, and I did the double lower body premix first, then came back and did the upper body work. I'm still lifting less than I would if my wrist were 100%. But making it through a whole upper body workout was thrilling. AND I did bicep curls with my wrist in the normal grip position. (I've been only doing hammer curls because I couldn't take the backward stress against my wrist that the normal position put on my wrist.) It's a pretty short bicep sequence, and my wrist was fatigued, but not in any pain at all, by the end. I feel like I've been reading my own body well. Again, Lara, the wrist curls have REALLY helped. Thanks for that suggestion.

Waves to Heather, Robin, Amber, and any other readers!

Laura:D

BTW, here are my workout plans for the week:

M, W, F - 3 mile run
T-upper body & abs
Saturday-lower body & abs

May also stick in an ab section on Thursday. Core Max?

Hi Girls!

I am in OK visiting ds21. I am going to bring home his Perfect Pushups, since he doesn't use them...yeah! When I get home this aft. I plan to do a week of Timesaver. I don't do this one very often.

Lara~Thank you for sharing the precious pics of Finley. She is adorable! Is she sleeping any longer in the night yet?

Laura~Did you say that your half marathon is in Feb also? Do you have a training schedule? I followed one from coolrunning.com the last half marathon I did and felt very well prepared. That would be fun to train "together"! You go girl with those hills!! I am so impressed. Hope your wrist feels better soon.

Waving hi to Randi, Heather, Robin, Liann and any lurkers!

Lara!!!Finley is beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing her.

Laura, good luck with your running. I'd much rather run outside than on a treadmill. The treadmill is soooooo boring.

Gin, have a nice visit.

I've been busy at work and at home. Where does the time go? I don't have as much time here at work to post, and when I get home, I don't get to the computer till evening. Then I'm too tired to say much. Last week I did a Gym Style rotation. This week will be 4DS. Now if only I could get my diet back on track! Hugs to all.

PYGFO Check-in

PYGFO Sisters:

This was a joyful Sunday! I enjoyed the 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio premix, which is one of my favorite happy workouts. The worship was jubilant. Our youth dance team danced to "Shackles" this morning. Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance! I just wanna praise You! A young Muslim girl visited us this morning and told my pastor that we look so happy when we sing.

I enjoyed a long nap that recharged me and gave me a burst of energy so I cleaned my kitchen tonight. The floor sparkles! My sink is shiny too! My freezer is full of snow! It is a frost-free freezer, and I have never seen anything like this before.

Lara, thank you for the pictures! Finley Hope is a doll! Wow! What a beautiful little girl! I would love to cuddle with her in a rocking chair all day. I love the picture in the striped gown with her name on it too. Did it take long for your dog to adjust to her?

Laura, keep pressing on with your running. I am glad your wrists are feeling better.

Gin, I love Perfect Pushup! My wrists do not feel any pressure or pain.

Robin, I am keeping you in my prayers. I hope you have more energy this week.

Hugs to Amber Liann and Randi!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

Today I did SS and walked for 30 minutes. It took me 2 hours to complete SS b/c I had to take breaks to tend to Finley!! I also wanted to walk longer, but she said it was time to eat. I think it will be awhile b/f I can workout without any interruptions!!

Laura...Thank you!! I love that picture also. Sophie loves to kiss Finley! We are pretty sure that Sophie (my dog) thinks Finley is her baby. It is pretty sweet. I am cheering you on while running all of those hills!! That is definitely hard work!! Congrats on completing your upper body workout!! It sounds like you have done everything right in taking care of your wrist!

Gin...She is sleeping anywhere from 4-7 hours at night. We are excited about that! The only problem is that her bedtime varies between 10 to 330 (or later sometimes). Those late nights are still pretty hard on us. You were closer to me in OK!! I hope you had a great visit with DS. Let us know how you like the Perfect Pushups!

Robin...Thank you! We are just happy to see you when we can:). I hope things slow down a little for you. Have fun with 4 DS. I can't wait to be able to do that series again!! Hopefully I will get the okay from my doctor in a few weeks.

Heather...Thank you:). Yes, I love cuddling with her!! She looks so sweet when she is sleeping. I always wonder what she is dreaming about b/c she makes so many different facial expressions when she sleeps. We were worried that Sophie would be scared or jealous, but she took to Finley very well. She is gentle toward Finley. We still try to do all the things we used to before Finley was born (play fetch, car rides, walk) so she won't feel neglected. Your Sunday sounded wonderful. I love a clean kitchen!! If I could just keep the rest of the house as clean!!

Thanks for all of your thoughtful responses about Finley's pictures!! I am sorry it took me so long to post them. I need to go to bed. She is asleep now. Last night it was 330, so I had better take advantage of an earlier bedtime while I can!!

Lara, Finley is precious what a beautiful girl!
Heather great job on KB i'm doing the 4DS series this month with some added workouts in there as well. I do legs twice so I'll probably do 4DS legs plus GS floor work then abs or just all of Butts and guts haven't decieded yet.
Laura, how are you? I don't enroll in school till NOv 5th and don't start till Jan. I guess they dont have a semester were I could of started earlier:(
Robin, that is what i did GS now on to 4DS:) Get some rest:)
Gin hope you had a good time in OK.
Have a great day ladies
Randi

Lara - Finley is gorgeous!!! I love all the pictures! The doggy one is precious! :)

Laura - I'm a treadmill runner myself. I think I would have a really hard time switching up to actually running outside.

Gin - Hope you have a great visit! I really need to pull out my Perfect Push-ups and start using them again. They definitely add a level of difficulty but at the same time save my wrists.

Robin- I hear you on getting the diet on track. Mine has been wandering around the cookie aisle for the past few weeks. ;) I need to reign it in!

Heather - Hugs back at you! Glad you enjoyed your service so much on Sunday. :)

Randi - What are you going to school for? Subject, not the reason! ;)

Not a whole lot has been going on with me. I've still been pretty patchy with my workouts. The in-laws (all 16 of them) are coming out for 2 weeks over Christmas, so every weekend from now until Christmas is going to be spent deep cleaning and doing some much needed work on the house - painting, etc... I really really want to trim down before this visit though because I always look "chunky" in our family Christmas pictures and I am DETERMINED not to look like that this year. I seem to gain all my weight in my face and I plan to cut my hair shorter next week, so I'm going to start focusing on cardio tonight! ;)

Hi Liann I'm going to get my RN degree:). YOu look great already!!

Thanks Randi! I'm up 10 though just in the last 2 months and I swear it's all gone to my cheeks (face!) ;). It all went south after the Road Trip! ;) I'm such a yo-yo with weight and my eating has been HORRIBLE. I have got to post some pics from several Christmas's ago. I keep saying I'm going to post them, and then I never get around to it. I'm not letting myself get to that point again.

I found them! Ugh... Yeah, that's me.

Hello.

I am sitting here with Finley balanced on my shoulder. She is fast asleep and I don't want to move her b/c she wakes up so easily. Having a baby is an all day arm and back workout!!
I did step for the first time since delivering. I started slowly with the step portion of LIS and added in the blast only premix of Lo Max. It felt good to step again!!

Randi...Thanks! Your leg workout sounds great.

Liann...Thank you!! I remember seeing your RT pictures. I think you look wonderful!! I know what you mean though. I always seems to gain a little in the winter time. I think it is b/c I can cover up in more clothes! Also, I love all of the Holiday parties and food!! Good luck with all of the house projects!

Hi to Robin...I just "saw" you over in the OD.

Hello to everyone else. DH is home with dinner---Yea!! I am starving.

So much for my great lifting and running schedule for the week! I got a tummy bug Sunday night and have been down ever since!

I haven't had to worry about "clean" eating since it's all been Sprite and crackers. But let me say this is NOT my preferred method of weight loss.

I'm improving, but slowly, and hope to ease back in to normal routine in the next couple days and back into (gentle) workouts over the weekend.

Waves to everyone and hope you're all feeling better than I am! :D

PYGFO Check-in

PYGFO Sisters:

Glory! It is a new month, and I updated my weight and measurement this morning. By taking baby steps in the right direction, I lost 6 pounds in September for a total of 26 pounds since I started eating intuitively on the 4th of July. That is 10 percent of my starting weight. Yippee! I am 35 pounds from Onederland!

It feels good to be walking in the light again after stumbling through darkness this past summer. After a 3-month weight training hiatus, I am back on track with a rotation. I decided to focus on light and fun workouts in September. I am wrapping up the 4th week of my Supersets/ Push Pull rotation. I want to be ready for STS the first week in January. I am planning to start the 4-Day Split in November and possibly the Slow and Heavy series in December. What would be good for the next 4 weeks? Muscle Max? Muscle Endurance?

I enjoyed my Zumba class tonight. Fun, fun, fun! It is time to wrap up this day and recharge with a restful night of sleep. Sweet dreams!

Liann, you are beautiful at any size!

Lara, I am glad you are enjoying step workouts again.

Laura, I am praying for you. Get well soon!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

Finley is taking a nap, so I am trying to get my posts in. I wasn't able to workout today. Finley didn't go to bed until 345 this morning. I was just too tired!! I am hoping for a good workout tomorrow.

Laura...Sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you are feeling better. Take care of yourself.

Heather...I did SS the other day. I really enjoyed it. I hadn't pulled that one out in awhile. I want to do PP sometime this week. I also want to do more step if Finley will sleep long enough for me to do it! WTG on your September weight loss!!

Hello to Randi, Gin, Liann, Robin, and anyone else who drops by.

I am finally feeling almost normal. This has been a tough bug to kick. I actually started on an antibiotic that targets GI infections. That was my turning point, but it's still been slow. I'm just glad to be back to daily routine at this point. Workouts will follow eventually.

Lara--sorry about the late nights. In case you are, don't stress about missed workouts. I know that I felt so urgently that I had to get back into things. But you are so slim and kept in great shape during your pregnancy. You'll be back to your pre-preg self in time!

Hello to Gin, Liann, Heather, Robin, Randi, and any others who pop in!

Laura
