PYGFO- Monday

Morning, anyone up yet??

Well today is HIS/CB, and ASC2.:) After previewing ASC2, I wondered if there were any other moves Amy could have possibly put in this video.LOL!

Lara, a haunted room?! I don't think I would have been able to stay in it.<----Likes her sleep. :D

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all. Sorry I didn't get a chance to check in over the weekend. DH and I stayed pretty busy catching up on chores and getting things done. I did get my workouts in...Saturday went for a hike up our local mountain park here, Sunday I did Kelly Coffeys step boxing 2 and a slo-mo UB premix, and this morning I did CC#4 on the spinning bike + KPC abs. I've decided that with Thanksgiving and the holidays around the corner, I need more cardio than P90X is giving me right now so I'm putting that on hold. Plus I am so excited about STS that I think I'd like to wait for that to do a long rotation.

Heather - WTG on the heavy weights. 20 lb dumbbells is what I use for chest presses. I haven't been able to graduate to 25's yet but I still feel challenged with 20's so I'm sticking to it for now! Glad you are enjoying the new series.

Vicki - we need a full report on Saturday's event!! I visited the AFT website this morning. It looks great. :)

Lara - you are braver than I am to stay in a haunted hotel. Did you know it was haunted before you booked it?

Michelle - great picture! Your pics just keep getting prettier and prettier. You know, it's funny that you say that about ASCII from Amy. I did the slo-mo upper body premix yesterday. I just wasn't feeling it from Amy. I'll give it another chance and maybe try the leg workout, but some of the UB moves felt a little unsafe to me...this one may be going on my trade pile.

Robin, Carolyn, Liann (welcome back!), and anyone else I missed - have a great day!!

Tess- in ASC2 there are 2 circuit premixes, I guess it is Slo Mo she uses for that, but anyway, some of the moves in that made my back hurt just watching them..what were they called, jeffersons? Where you have a dumbbell in hand and squat while taking that hand towards the opposite leg,for what was it, 3 sets??!! Can you say OUCH!

Good Morning All,

Today was HIC w/chest and back. I finally figured out all the cardio and got through it without having to rewind:p Yesterday I did BM2 cardio blast for the first time in a while. It sure is a lot of fun.

Lara - I know I wouldn't have stayed in anything haunted. I can't even watch haunted/scary movies.

Tess - How was the mini boot camp? Was it worth doing and if so when will you be doing it again?

Vicki - Can't wait to hear about the boys and Blues Travelers. I love that band:9

Michelle - What workout is ASC2? Is is a series or just an individual w/o. I only have Cathe so I'm not too familiar with other instructors.

Hello to Robin, Gin, Laura, Heather, Liann and everyone else.

Have a great day;)

Carolyn

Carolyn, the mini bootcamp was great. The hike up the mtn. was the tough part. We carried 3 lb weights (next time I will use 5 lb) and did a mini-weight routine at the top. The weight routine was not very challenging, but probably because I only used 3 lb weights. The ab segment was decent. I am doing it again Saturday so join me!!

Ended up changing my workout to LIS/SCC, and 9 min. of ASC2(I am dumping that workout- ick!).

Carolyn, ASC2 is Amy Bentos new step workout.

Hi all.

Michelle, I'm sorry to hear you don't like ASC2. I really like it. I have to do it with vocals only though. I can't hear Amy over the music. I think I've done it over half a dozen times and am still learning. I love complex step routines.

Lara, I have to agree with everyone else. I don't think I would knowingly stay in a haunted house. Yikes! Could be very romantic though, with a big strong DH to protect you from the ghosts all night.}(

Tess, that mini boot camp sounds like a lot of fun. I wish there was something like that around here.

Vicki, I can't find the link to your boys website. Can you give me a clue?

Hi to Carolyn, Heather, Laura and anyone I may have missed. I did HIS chest and back this evening. I was feeling kind of down and had a pretty significant eating binge. I'm headed for a hot soak in the tub and bed. The sun will come out tomorrow....

Good night all PYGFOs ;). It was a busy day for me at work, but a profitable one. Minus the fact that I didn't get a workout in. :( I am promising myself to start back on a rotation starting Wed. You guys will have to crack the whip to keep me moving. All my definition has turned to mush. :( I've got my little gut and "love handles" back and I'm pretty ticked off about it. >:l It's my own fault though. I've been stress eating and have not kept to a exercise schedule at all. Bad Liann... Hope you guys had a good Monday. Sounds like everyone got some good workouts in. I will use that as inspiration. ;)

Hello.

Well, I didn't get to work out today:( I was really hoping to be able to. I even left out all of my weights and barbell so it would be easier when I got home. My DH was wanting dinner when I got home, so I just gave up. I will be home earlier tomorrow, so I plan to hit the weights and cardio.

Yes, I knew the hotel was haunted, but I didn't quite know the extent. We stayed at the Crescent Hotel. Evidentally, Norman Baker (originally from Iowa) brought several of his patients with cancer to Eureka Springs, AR, claiming to have a cure for cancer. Tons of people flocked to his treatment center (the hotel) for one last hope at treatment and survival. He claimed to have an elixer (which was a hoax) consisting of watermelon seed, alcohol, and a few other ingredients. Obviously, this elixer did not cure anyone and eveyone ended up suffering and/or dying. There is even a ghost tour of the hotel every day. It is suppose to tour the autopsy room where supposidly live autopsies were performed.

I wasn't too freaked out until we got back to the hotel from dinner (which was very nice). The ghost tour was right in front of our room, and we overheard the tour guide say that the hotel cats (there are 2 that live there and are very friendly) would not even stay in this room (our room!!).

Who knows if this is all true, but it is enough to freak me out!! I am very paranoid, but still, I just don't want to chance seeing any ghosts!!

Michelle...So, no more ASC2?? I was hoping to hear a good review from you. It did look super complicated!! I will give it a try later this week, but I will probably end up sticking with Cathe!!

Tess...It sounds like you had some geat workouts this weekend!! I am jealous!! I have not tried Slo-Mo yet either. Please let us know what you think the second time around.

Carolyn...Congrats on the workout without any rewinds!! What a great accomplishment! I am with you on the scary movies. I watch anything scary/suspensful through my hands with (very) small cracks between my fingers.

Robin...LOL about DH protecting me from the ghosts. He just thinks I am silly for being concerned in the first place. It was a pretty (but old) romantic hotel though (ghosts aside)!!

Liann...You can do it!!!! I know, sometimes life just gets in the way. I have been less than stellar myself lately. Have fun on Wednesday.

Sorry my post is so long. Just thought I would try to explain my insanity of staying in a haunted hotel!! Have a great Tuesday!!
