PYGFO- Monday!!

Goodmorning Michelle and other PYGFO-pals to follow. I'll be doing a CTX rotation this week. I think time will be short. Bible school starts at my church tonight and the evenings I won't be helping out, I'll be babysitting Greyor so my DD can help out. I already announced to the family that I won't be cooking this week. Sandwiches for dinner. MMMMMMM.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I ran 3 miles and then did GS BSB and Stretch Max3. Didn't you guys love Cathe's stretch at the end of our last RT workout with the music from Stretch Max? It was a perfect ending.

Michelle--Okay, I will post the yummy pancake recipe in a second.:9

Robin--Sandwiches for dinner works for me!

Gin:)

High Fiber-Low Fat Pancakes

1 c. low fat buttermilk
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
2/3 c. wheat bran
1/4 c. egg substitute (I use egg whites)
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
2 packets Splenda
3/4 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt

Combine the buttermilk, oats and bran in a large bowl. Let stand for 5 min. Add the egg and beat until blended. In a small bowl, mix whole wheat flour, Splenda, baking soda and salt until blended. Add to the bran mixture and blend. Prepare a hot skillet or griddle with nonstick spray. Pour in 1/4 c. batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top and edges are dry. Turn and cook about 1-2 min. more.

Thank you Gin,that sounds really good! I have to pick up some wheat bran at the store:) That stretch at the end was perfect, brought tears to my eyes.

Robin- I do the sandwhich for dinner thing quite a bit around here:)

Mmm Gin, those sound good. Thanks for posting!

How is everyone doing? I am doing just fine. I spent all day yesterday cleaning. My DH mopped our hardwood floors on Friday with hot water and murphy's oil soap. Well that left this icky white film all over our beautiful floors so I spent about 2 hours yesterday going over it with a damp mop trying to buff out the film. I got it all up thank goodness. Anyone have hardwoods? What do you use on them to shine them up? They are clean but not as shiny as I would like. Anyhow, that was my workout yesterday along with cleaning bathrooms and about 6 loads of laundry. This morning was PUB - time flies on this workout.

Michelle - your little icons are cracking me up.

Vicki - how was the bbq and the company?

Robin - Mmmm...I love sandwiches. :)

Have a great day ladies.

Good morning!

Hope you are all well!

Laura: I was wondering where you went. so glad you had a nice vacation with the family. I hope you can relax a bit now at home.

Randi: Glad you figured out what PYGFO is! We all think it's pretty funny sounding...

Gin: Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to try that...MMMM.

Robin: Hey nothing wrong with sandwiches for dinner. We at the Kelly house have been known to have some cold cereal for dinner when the craziness reaches an all time high! How was your weekend? Mom? Please let us know. I was thinking of you!

Michelle: Yea, um can you cut it out with the showing off now. I mean, the pimpin' skills. The cute little funny guy icons. Sheesh, what are you, queen pimper now?? Here's my pimpin' skills: }( ;( :p :+ :9 :* x( ;-) Yea, try that. HMMMMPH!

Tess: I use the Bruce Hardwood floor spray. You can usually get it at Home depot or even some grocery stores. You just spray it on and use a special wood floor broom to wipe it right up. It's also by Bruce and kinda has a big cloth at the bottom. This stuff works great. We have medium shine floors throughout the house and it works wonders. Give it a try. Um, and don't let DH do it...

BBQ was great. I had a houseful of my mom's side of the family. Let's just say that they are all 100% Italian and know how to eat!! Holy smokes, I had soooo much food and it was going like crazy! It was fun though and it was good seeing everyone. I haven't seen some of my cousins for a while now.

So, as soon as my petutie (?) gets good and ready I am going to go do GS Legs. Then I'm going for a walk... yay!! I haven't walked since we got back from the RT. It's going to be 0nly 66 here today... nice walking weather.

Have a wonderful day ladies!

Hi Ladies ~ :)

Just check-in' to say HI! :)
Saturday I got 1/2 way through BootCamp...Been fighting a cold all week, now I figured out why I was so tired all last week, I knew something was up.
At work now, but thinking about getting out of here in a bit to go home to bed. Just feel lousy, and achy! :(

BBL for personals..Hope all is well!
Take Care,
"Today is a Gift, Have Fun"

Tess, ignore Vicki's suggestion that your DH not do the floors. Make him redo them until they are right! I use Bruce One Step on my floors a couple times a year and the stuff Vicki uses in between.

Vicki, thanks for asking. My mom is supposed to have lunch at the new place today, then my sister plans on moving her in on Wed. My sister will be in VT until Friday, so can check up on Mom before she heads back to Washington state. I think my sister is still going to try to move Mom to Washington eventually. We may rondevous (spelling?) at my Mom's house in September and try to figure out what stuff to keep and store and how to get rid of the rest.

Jennifer, I hope you feel better soon. Everyone around here seems to have the sniffles.

Gin, those pancakes sound good. My DH and DD would probably whine about them being too healthy though. Honestly, you would think whole wheat was poison.

Hey there everyone!

I was just sitting here at my desk thinking how lonely I was now that the RT checkin is over and I came over here and found you all. :7 :7

Gin - Those pancakes look great! Do you know if the batter can be kept refrigerated a couple of days? Or if the cooked pancakes can be frozen? I'd love to make a big ol' batch and freeze them for quick b'fasts later.

Robin - I'm so glad to hear the situation with your mom is getting sorted out. Sounds like you and your sister are doing a great job supporting your mom and each other.

Tess - I use Orange Glo hardwood cleaner. It works a lot like the Bruce Hardwood spray that Vicki described in her post. Just spray and buff with a soft cloth; kind of like a really thick Swiffer. I have both high gloss and satin finish floors and it works well on both.

Vicki - 66 degrees out - boy are you lucky! Turn that upsidedown for what we have down here and you're just about right. The heat index yesterday afternoon was about 110. As soon as you walked outside you just melted. Even the water in the pool was warm like bathwater. But I'll take the heat as long as the hurricanes stay away.

Michelle - I'm with you on the stretch. That was the best!

Jennifer - I hope you're feeling better soon.

I've been doing a Timesaver rotation since getting home from Philly last week. Busy, busy, busy...... I *thought* I was going to do a Firm rotation for the next 3 weeks, but I've already subbed about 1/2 the workouts for Cathe, so we'll just see about that. I also had the odd urge to go for a run as I was leaving for work this morning so it should be interesting to see how the workouts pan out.

The contractor has finished my downstairs bar/storage room at the bay and has the pilings for the boathouse in place. It was so exciting to see the house this weekend, and then the work started. Everything was covered with sawdust and grime so we spent the weekend cleaning and sorting things back out. I honestly never thought I'd have the chance to bond so closely with a shop vac. And I hope I never have to again..... But, it will all be worth it in the end. I'll have to post before and afters when everything is done.

Boy, I'm glad to see y'all!

Tess- I agree with Robin, make DH do it}(

Vicki- I'm jealous, 66 degrees!

Jennifer- I hope you feel better soon.:)

Robin- When it comes to healthy eating mine are the same...I think I'll make the pancakes without telling anyone they are good for them:p

Mona- glad you found us:) LOL at bonding with the shopvac:7 Remodeling is a pain in the(I'll use Vicki's word)petutie. I never thought I would survive the mess when my kitchen was being remodeled.

I usually make a double batch of the pancakes and freeze them all in a big ziploc. Then take 2 out when I want them and pop in microwave for 40 sec. PB is great on them.......VICKI!!;-) Unfortunately I have given up PB. Sadly, it is a headache trigger for me.:-(
My DH will not eat them and he will usually try pretty healthy stuff.

Gin

Oh Gin - that sounds perfect. Thanks! I'm sad to hear about PB being a headache trigger for you. I LOVE my natty PB.

Mona: Yay!!! You found us, I'm so glad. I wishe we had more time to chat at the RT! I'm so glad you're here. This group is so great.

Gin: I mourn your PB loss. With all my heart. No, really, that's just sad. ;(

Jennifer: Hey, hope you feel better soon. I don't have a cold, but for some reason today I am just drained and lazy. Must have been the house full of Italians from the Bronx. Yup, that'll do it!

Have a good night PYGFO gals!

Hello.

Today was RS and SJP Hi/Lo. I thought I was going to die of heat stroke!! Our air conditioner is freezing up and it was 78 degrees in my house the whole time. I had fun, but it was a little miserable. It has been a little warm (too put it mildly) here lately! I have been trying to do a little extra this week to make up for what I gained on my 2 week vacation:( Most days I have been doubling up on workouts. I still have to fit in my wedding dress on Saturday for the party. I am getting so excited!! I feel like I am getting married all over again!!

Michelle...I have been tempted to do a one part per day rotation, but haven't. It sounds like you have a good plan going. Let us know how it works for you.

Gin...Thanks so much for posting. I will definitely be making pancakes for breakfast:9 I am sorry to hear about your PB loss. I love it also.

Robin...Have fun with CTX. I have that one, but have only done it in parts. I want to start adding it into my workouts since I have heard good things about the series. Thanks for the update on your mother. We are still thinking about you.

Tess...I am interested also. We just had our floors refinished and have only been using water. I think it is time to shine them up a little bit!

Vicki...Thanks for the suggestion for wood floors. I hope you enjoyed the 66 degree weather! I am ready for a cool front!!!

Jennifer...I hope you were able to go home and rest. Feel better soon!:)

Mona...So glad you found us! That is what always happens to me. I try to workout with someone other than Cathe, and it just never feels the same. I can't stay away for too long:) Hang in there with the remodeling. My kitchen is STILL a work in progress, but I love the results so far!

It is so good to "keep up" with you ladies. Talk to you soon.
