PYGFO in March!!!!

Hello.

For some reason, I haven't been finding our check-in. I finally found it on page 6. I am sure it has been there all along, but my pregnancy brain is kicking in!! I am finally feeling better today!! I had to give in and take an antibiotic. My OB prescribed it, so I guess it is safe. I took my last dose today. I am still congested, but my headaches are better. They told me the congestion may never completely go away while I am pregnant--joy:( I was able to do LoMax and B&G today. I had to pause B&G several times (never had to do that before). My legs were burning and really feeling it. I wonder if I will be sore tomorrow?? This was only my 2nd leg workout of the month due to all of my illnesses.
I was suppose to have a doctor appointment to do AFP testing. My doctor had to move it to Friday instead. I am hoping I get to heer the heartbeat again. I have to say that I am a little nervous about the AFP test though. Did any on you have this test?

Heather...I am so glad you are feeling better. It sounds like your eating is going really well. I also enjoyed KPC the other day. I haven't pulled out SS or PP in awhile. I may need to revisit them sometime!! Thank you for keeping my friends in your prayers. I know they appreciate it as well.

Sorry....I hit post when I meant to switch screens. It is full of typos and was not finished!! I haven't done that before!! I will try again!!

Gin...I am sorry you were hit by the flu bug! I hope you recover soon. This was the worst flu I have had!! I am sure being pregnant did not help! I like the blog pics and am glad Cathe shares with us! I (like Heather) love the set, too!

Randi...I am curious about what the music will be like in STS. I am sure it will be good. I always like Cathe's music choices!

Robin...I am sending sunny healing vibes your way!! I have Spring Break next week, but no fun trips are planned. I think I will clean and organize this house! I guess I am in the nesting phase now. I hope you have a good trip!

Laura... I hope to incorporate some gym time into my workouts during Spring Break. It will be a nice change of pace. Good luck with the changes in your routine! Let us know how it goes.

I am off to finish some work and then to bed. Have a great Wednesday!

Laura I hope you feel better soon. By the way I didn't know you are pregnant, congrats!! You did all of B&G and Low max wow!! I'm sure you will be sore! I did a shorter leg workout yesterday B&G floor work only, 4DS legs and calves. I'm feelin it this morning LOL!
Robin I hope your knee feels better soon and have a great vacation!!
Have a great day ladies:)
Off to get ready for work, I have a split today 6-10 then 3-7 GROSS!!
Randi

Hello.

Today I was able to do 4DS LIS/HIS cardio and the chest/shoulder/tricep premix. I am definitely feeling better. Now, I just need to get myself back in good shape!!

Randi...Thanks so much! I have the 4DS Legs/calves on tap for tomorrow. My calves are always sore after that one!! I hope work went by quickly.

Tomorrow is my doctor's appointment. I am a little nervous about the testing. I am sure we won't find anything out for awhile since it is blood work. I am excited about my next appointment though!! I can't wait to find out what the baby is!!

I am going to see what is around for dinner.

Hi PYGFOers!

I think I am finally feeling a little better!:) I was able to do MM this aft. I am still a little achy ( from the flu, not DOMS)
I have Spring Break next week and am leaving for Houston tomorrow for a couple of days to visit family.

Randi--I have seen bull riders at the rodeo. It is tough for me to watch! Do you always w/o at 4:30am? Early! What kind of work do you do?

Robin--Happy vacation! Enjoy St. John's!!!:)

Laura--Glad you enjoyed the step class. I enjoy cardio more, but everyone is says to do more heavy lifting and fewer cardio days if you are looking to "lean out".

Lara--What is an AFP test? My youngest will be 21 in May, so I don't know about this test. You did both LowMax and B&G on the same day? YIKES! I will probably be doing CleanMax next week during Spring Break also. Will you share your news about the baby's sex? Exciting!:7

Have a great weekend!
Gin:)

Hello!

Today I did 4DS KB/BC cardio. I was suppose to do weights, but I felt so tired afterward. I took a quick power nap and now DH is off to pick up my veggie pizza---YUM! I will do extra weights tomorrow (I hope).
My appointment went well. I still haven't gained any weight. I have lost 3 1/2 pounds since my 7 week weigh-in. My doctor is not concerned at this point. I explained to her that my 7 week weight was right after Christmas and I had put on a few pounds. We heard the heartbeat. It was 150 bpm. My doctor said the heartbeat was strong and we heard it right away. She asked me if I had felt the baby yet. I think I have, but I said I wasn't quite sure if that was the baby or something else. She said I would start to feel the "flutters" more frequently now, and that DH would be able to feel the baby kick in about 6 weeks.

Gin. I am glad you are feeling better! This was a BAD flu season!! AFP (alpha-feta protein) is a blood test. I think it is also known as the triple screen. It is to determine your chances of having a baby with Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, or other problems. There are supposidly a lot of false positives (about 25%). Then you can decide if you want/need an amnio or other testing to further determine your risk. It will take a week to get the results. She said if she doesn't call me, it is a good sign. I will be nervous this next week!! I will find out the gender April 14th. I will be closer to 21 weeks since my doctor was already booked. Have a great trip to Houston!! Will you be taking any Cathes or running while you are gone?

I am hoping to get in a long workout tomorrow. I hope you all are having a great weekend!!

PYGFO Sisters:

I recovered from my food allergy crisis and reintroduced eggs, cheese, whole grains, and chocolate this weekend without incident. After 2 weeks of “Cathe lite,” I am ready to kick some butt! I planned a cardio and circuit training rotation for the next 6 weeks. I also planned menus for the week and packed my meals and snacks for tomorrow. I am so happy that I am free to return to my normal way of eating after 2 weeks of mostly fruits, veggies, beans, and unsalted nuts. My workouts for the week were the same as last week.

This was a fun Sunday. After the stability ball segment of Stretch Max, I updated my Cathe calendar and posted stickers and finished planning a cardio and circuit training rotation this morning and went Nike shoe shopping this afternoon.

I struck gold today! Nike gold that is! Lime green actually! I had a very successful day of Nike retail therapy. I was searching for new Nike Shox for kickboxing. I wanted a pair with lime green trim and a pair with blue trim. I found both together at Finish Line! That is a hot combination this season! These are Nike Air Max (not Nike Shox). They are unbelievably cushy and the most comfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet. I cannot wait to try sequential power kicks wearing these shoes! I need to buy another pair when they go on sale. They are super cute too. Joy, joy, joy!

I bought a lime green Nike top and a pair of matching capris with lime green around the waistband. Cute, cute, cute. I also bought a matching lime green sports bra too. It was all on sale. Even though I exercise at home, I still love Nike workout clothes. They are so nice and supportive, and I burn more calories when I look cute. Yes, I do! The capris I wore during the Road Trip still look like new after countless washings. I also split my cheaper Nike capris (not the nice pair I wore during the Road Trip), so I had a good excuse for a new pair! I love this material! There is a lot of lime green and different shades of blue in the stores this season if you love those colors as much as I do.

I did not have time for a nap this afternoon (which I really needed). I spilled organic pasta sauce in my dining room last night and was up until midnight cleaning the carpet and upholstery. I need to wrap up this day and recharge with restful sleep.

I am fired up and ready to blast off a new cardio and circuit training rotation in the morning. Cute Nike clothes are great for inspiration! I am loving the new blog pictures too (especially the fun “behind the scenes” pictures).

I am too tired for personals tonight, but I wanted to rescue us from the second page!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

Today I watched a lot of basketball and the selection show. I always have so much fun filling out my bracket. I did Amy's Hi/Lo Dome and Legs from MM and 4DS. I am sure my calves will be sore tomorrow. I am debating between IMAX 2 or going to the gym to lift weights and TM since I am off this week for Spring Break. I guess I will see what I feel like in the morning.

Heather...How fun to go shopping for workout clothes. I have been looking online for maternity workout clothes for when I need them. Somehow, it just isn't as fun! I am glad you are able to resume your normal eating plan and that you are better from the food allergy. It sounds like you are pumped to start your cardio and circuit workouts. I am also hoping to step up my workouts this week since I am finally feeling better and will have more time. The check-in is on page 8 when I look for it. I am not sure what I am doing wrong that it doesn't move up when I post.

I think it is bed time. Have a great Monday!

Hello.

I keep trying different cardio classes at the gym. The Step class is great, but it's only once a week (at least with that instructor).

I went to Kickbox last week. It was great. We used real gloves and actually got to punch a kick a prop that the instructor held. Let me tell you there is a REAL difference between the air punches I'm used to doing with Cathe and the solid contact I felt in this class. I still love Cathe's kickbox workouts--they're much more cardio oriented than this class was. But my LEGS got a real workout making solid contact. Wow. My hip flexors were SORE.

I continue to see gradual improvement. Pounds easily gained don't drop off as quickly!x( In fact, I still haven't lost any weight. But at this point, I'm seeing definition, so I'm sure that I've laid on some serious muscle with the gym workouts. Guess that's good, seeing the STS blog. Wow.

Hello to all of you.

I did a good leg workout today do legs twice a week one heavy and them more endurance. Today was B&G standing leg time savor and abs then 4ds kick box. Monday was slow and heavy legs then 4DS legs}(

Hello.

Glad to see some of you! My workout today was HCX-treme #2 with the leg work added on from KM. I have been able to modify most of the more intense workouts pretty easily. I still do plie jumps, power lunges, jumping jacks, etc, but I don't do any tuck jumps or jumping on/off the step. I am hoping to lift for upper body at the gym tomorrow. If not, I will probably do GS at home with some cardio. I have been enjoying my Spring Break. It is nice to have the break to workout more and relax. I have also been cooking a lot more and have tried some new recipes. I wish this week would last longer!!

Laura...I am sure you are pretty buff by now with all of your gym workouts!! You are right...you will be glad once you get STS. I wonder when they will be ready. I am sure it will be close to the time the baby is born and I will have to wait to use them. I hope STS will get me back into shape!!

Randi...Looks like you had good leg workouts this week. Tuesday I did 4DS legs with MM legs after Amy's Hi/Lo Dome. My legs were wiped out afterward! I haven't ever done S&H Legs. I have done the upper body workouts, but never the legs. Not sure why?? I may have to give it a try.

Have a good Thursday.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Sorry, I have been bad about checking in. We went to Houston to visit family and then brought back our nephews (13 and 8) to stay for a few days and just took them back to the airport today. It was so fun to have them here!:)
I just finished all 100 min. of BM2 and HRM says I burned 600 calories!:p I did workout while out of town. I took my step (what a dork!) and did 4ds Double cardio and IMAX 3.

Lara--Have you had your AFP test yet? Are you enjoying your Spring Break? I don't go back until Tuesday!:) Are you starting to show yet? HCE yesterday??}( :p

Heather--You crack me up with the shoe talk! Your new outfit sounds cute. Are we still planning a TX GTG? Who else lives in TX?

Laura--I have never done a real kickbox class. I'll bet it is tough. DS left his punching bag in the garage.

Randi--B&G ?? OUCH! That one is in my rotation line up for next week. Haven't done it in a while.

Gin:)

Hello!!

I finally got up early this morning to go to the gym. As I suspected, there was a sub teaching the step class. It was pretty easy, but I still got my heartrate up a little. I also lifted back and biceps. Tonight I got on my TM for 45 minutes. I just felt like I needed the cardio after this mornings class.

Gin...Hi!! I am glad you had a good trip. I bet it was fun to have your nephews visit. I am very impressed that you took your step and used it!! My DH just rolls his eyes when we go on a trip and I start dragging out my weights and step. How nice to have until Tuesday:) I wish I did, but I go back on Monday. I had my AFP test last Friday. I guess it will be one week tomorrow. I hope my phone doesn't ring!! That will mean good news. I can't say that I am *showing*, but I can tell a difference in my lower abdomen. It is definitely not as flat as it normally is. I am still wearing all of my regular clothes, and no weight gain yet. I know the time is coming that I will wake up one day and have nothing to wear!! I had better go shopping for some loser clothes soon.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!

Good Morning!

I lifted for chest, shoulders, and triceps yesterday at the gym. I also did CF and took my dog on a walk in the park. We had to take advantage of the nice weather yesterday. I think it will be cooler the next few days.
I didn't get a call from the doctor's office yesterday, so I am hoping that means good news. I don't think my OB works on most Friday's, so I will anxiously await for Monday to pass by.
I think I am going to head out and look for some loser shirts and jeans. I am just not sure what to buy. I tried on maternity jeans and they were way too big. Maybe I should buy the next size up?? I just don't want to spend a fortune on clothes that I (hopefully) won't be wearing for a long time.
I am hoping to fit in a workout later today, but we'll see. I have lots of errands this morning, and I am kicked out of my workout room (also the living room) when the NCAA tournament is on!!
Have a great Saturday!!!

PYGFO Sisters:

I hope y’all had a blessed and fun Easter! Our fifth Good Friday outreach was awesome. We packed 180 gift bags Thursday night. These pretty purple gift bags were filled with make-up, costume jewelry, bubble bath and body lotion, a message of God’s love, Easter candy, stuffed bunnies, and other fun goodies. We also packed guy bags for the managers, bartenders, bouncers, and deejays as well as children’s bags. My team went to the totally nude club, another team went to a topless club, and the other teams went to the family abuse shelter, a house for the homeless, and a motel where prostitutes and transients live. This Good Friday outreach is getting too big for four of us to handle, so we found more women who wanted to join us and split into teams for the first time this year.

Most of the women in this industry have a history of sexual abuse. They are used to being objectified. It is amazing how they joyfully respond to being lavished with unconditional love and being treated as human beings. They are also used to being judged and condemned by Christians. They are amazed that we love them and give them good gifts! Our mission is not to “fix” them. Our only agenda is love. It is our desire to love them as Jesus does. He commands believers to love Him wholeheartedly and love others as we love ourselves. That is not limited to people who look, act, think, and believe the way we do. I am so thankful that my church family sees these women as individuals in need of love, compassion, mercy, and grace. We go to establish relationships, and we are available to help them get an education and find a new way to make a living. We also assist them with childcare, healthcare, and whatever else they need as many of them are single mothers with no dental insurance or health insurance. We do not beat them over the head with a Bible or preach at them. Loving them as Christ does is our mission.

We had a great time talking to the girls in the dressing room. Of course, I checked out all their shoes! These women dance in 9-inch stiletto heels! Oh my! I thought of Cathe’s forums and laughed when one of them pulled out a pair of shoes with slots in the heels for money. Someone posted a picture of those shoes in Open Discussion last year and asked if anyone really wore them. Yes, Texas strippers do!

We gave the girls tee shirts that were a big hit with them. Some of the girls danced in them! I think the message made some of the male customers uncomfortable because several of them left with a sheepish look. Here is my Good Friday “before” picture wearing my new favorite tee shirt:

All the teams gathered to share stories after our outreach. I finally met the wife of our new discipleship pastor. She joined one of the teams this year. Rachel is a former Miss Tennessee as well as a fitness instructor, and she is heavy due to medical complications during her most recent pregnancy. She has such a great attitude about her weight and her body. She shares my belief that fitness is about freedom not a size and also likes to eat 80 percent clean so she can freely enjoy a few treats every week. Her husband loves her unconditionally and tells her how beautiful she is! Meeting her was such a blessing, and she will be a good role model for me. Her husband gives me hope for finding a man who does not expect physical perfection.

My cycle started Friday. Thankfully, I have not experienced any cramps this month. I was tired and feeling poured out after ministering Friday night, so I rested and took a 4-hour nap this afternoon after church. So much emotional energy is involved in preparing for Good Friday and participating in the Friday night outreach. Inhaling all that smoke wiped me out too, and I needed to rest my feet after standing in heels for hours Friday night.

Oh, these were my workouts for this past week:

03-16-08 a.m. Stretch Max (second segment)
03-17-08 a.m. 4-Day Split Kickbox (cardio) + Butts and Guts (leg blast premix)
03-18-08 a.m. Low Impact Circuit (upper body circuit premix)
03-19-08 a.m. Kick, Punch, & Crunch
03-20-08 a.m. Step, Jump, & Pump
03-21-08 a.m. Rhythmic Step
03-22-08 a.m. Butts and Guts (abs) + Stretch Max (third segment)

I enjoyed the stability ball segment of Stretch Max this morning. Hopefully, I will be more faithful with daily check-ins now that I am free to focus on my fitness journey again. I hope this “off topic” update does not offend anyone. I love these women and have a passion for helping women rise above their circumstances and be all they were created to be, and I want to share my joy with y’all!

I love the Easter blog pictures! Cathe and the crew look like they are having fun, and that will make these workouts so much more enjoyable for me. I believe the leg workouts will be my favorites. I love what I am seeing in the blog pictures for Meso 1 Legs. I need to start practicing my gliding moves and wall squats with one leg extended. Oh my! Did y’all see the picture of Cathe laughing during the firewalkers? I love the Nike tops. Cathe is wearing a pretty green top in this one! I prefer spring green and lime green over shades of green that remind me of veggies! I am looking forward to STS and having fun with Cathe’s cardio and circuit training workouts while I am waiting. I started a new cardio and circuit training rotation Monday morning to train for STS. I need to blast off some of this fat before these workouts arrive!

Gin, we are still on for May 17th!

Lara, is the baby kicking yet?

Hugs to Laura, Liann, Randi, and Robin.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

This morning was Step Blast before church and family time. My mom got the baby a big Easter basket filled with goodies!! DH was sweet and got me a nice arrangement of tulips and some candy. I spent the rest of the week working on my yearly assessments for my kiddos. I have worked about 3 days straight on them, and still have a lot to do. I have to have them in by April 1st, so I think I will be busy this week getting them ready!

Heather...I loved reading about your outreach. I think it was a wonderful idea. I love that there was no preaching, just letting people know you were there for them and that you cared. I think that is what being a Christian is all about. It sounds like you all had so much fun! It looks like you had a good workout week AND you got to do RS!! I know you were excited about that one! Yes, I have felt "flutters" from the baby kicking. I don't feel the kicks everyday, but I am not sure that I am always aware because I am not used to feeling that. I am sure as the weeks go by, I will feel the kicking more frequently and they will be stronger (I hope anyway b/c that means my baby is ok).

Tomorrow is my long work day. I am not sure if I will be able to workout or not. My eating was horrible today (candy, ice cream, pasta...ugh!!), so I need to do something if I can! Have a great Monday!

Good Morning:)
And happy late Easter. Heather that is so awesome what you did! How sweet of you to reach out to people in need:) Great rotation you have ahead of you!! You are looking great!
Lara wait a go on step blast. Its hard having all that candy and not eating it!! I'm sure it's ok to splurge once in awhile:)
It is 3:30 am and I can't sleep! Don't have to be at work till noon. So this morning i'm doing Gym Style legs standing work then 4DS legs.
Have a great Monday

PYGFO Sisters:

After my quiet time this morning, I enjoyed my beloved 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio. This is definitely my favorite kickboxing workout. I love the music and moves in this one. The Butts and Gutts leg blast premix rounded out my workout. I am still loving my new Nike shoes. Hopefully, they will stand the test of time.

My feet are feeling a little better, but it will likely take a week or so to fully recover. It is time to wrap up this day with a warm bubble bath.

Lara, how sweet that your baby received an Easter basket! I love tulips! What color were they?

Randi, where do you work? I hope you survived that double leg workout. LOL!

Sweet dreams!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

I wasn't able to workout today. I did move around quite a bit with the kids at work, so I guess that will have to count. I will get off work a little earlier tomorrow, so I hope to do something good!

Randi...Your leg workout sounds tough! I have GS on tap for this week. I am not sure if I will do legs or BSB tomorrow. Sorry you could not sleep last night. I am not really sleeping well either. I am having vivid dreams all night long. I wake up all the time:( It definitely doesn't help me have much energy for the next day.

Heather...I love KB from 4DS too. I was thinking of combinig the cardio from 4DS with GS weights this week. I'll see what I feel like tomorrow though. I haven't ever received an arrangement of tulips before! I was very surprised!! My DH actually thought he was ordering a multi-color arrangement, but when he picked them up, they were all orange. Orange is not either one of our favorite colors, but I have to say they are georgeous!! What is your favorite color of tulip?

No call from my doctor today either, so I am going to try to put my mind at ease about birth defects for now. I still have to worry about what we will find on the ultrasound in a few weeks, but hopefully everything will look good.

Have a good Tuesday!!

Good Morning
Heather you did 4ds kickbox and leg blast!!Your legs are going to be sore!!! Mine are fried too. I like to do 4DS kickbox sometimes with shoulders all that punching and weight work really works them.
Lara i'm sure everything will be fine with your baby. Your in my prayers. I think you mixing 4DS with GS is a great idea I did that last couple months. Anyone going on the next road trip? Will see if I have money at that time LOL or even if I make it. I was so shy on the last one I think it was so overwhelming for me and seeing cathe I talked to her once and started crying.
Today is 4DS chest tris and LIC abs and cardio
Oh in the OD forum I posted How come Cathe doesnt show off her legs or abs like she did in her other series? I miss seeing her abs and legs her body makes me so motivated and she has an amazing body. Do you guys have any idea?
Anyways take care
Randi
