Pups are restless

Soooooo sweet! I want one! Why don't you, the hubby, and the kids do that monster trip you did last year, and instead of visiting relatives and going to the RT, go around delivering puppies to us Catheites who want them!!!!:p

I can smell that sweet puppy breath from here!!!

Congrats!

Hi every one finally I was able to get some little faces to cooperate with my picture taking. Sheila is being a brilliant Mother and all the pups are doing really well. She went out for her business, a few hours after having the pups and bolted back in the house to put her nose on every one. It looked like she was counting them.
Wish I was on the RT Teresa, nice idea and I know they would have wonderful homes.
aaaaaawww Morningstar thats so sweet.
Thanks again for all the well wishes and congrats. every one :D:D:D

Cute isn't good enough a word!!! Sweet little pink puppy noses!!!!! So sweet! Which one are you keeping, Bri?

Hi Teresa,

That is going to be tricky they are all so cute and different. We only know the sex of about three of them so far. Mom is very protective, so we just peek when they roll on their backs. We can pick them up very briefly to hand them to her when they are squeaking and they can't get to her themselves.
My DH likes little pumpkin head in the first picture, DS loves a little black one with brown and white markings. I guess we won't know for sure for a little while, plus I like to look for attitude and personality ;);) I like a little of that.

Bri :)

So sweet...and oh the agony when they have to go to their homes...I wonder if you'll be able to let them go. I know I'd have a very hard time with that.

Heck, I get all gushy when my birds lay eggs even though they have no birdman to make 'em baby birdies :D

Awwwwww. I could just smooch those cute little faces!!

Thanks for the pictures Bri! Please keep them coming. I'm curious what they will look like as they grow. Their coats are beautiful! Awwww, I wish I could have one:)

I, too, hate when more pets are brought into the world even as millions of unwanted pets are euthanized for want of good homes. The previous poster who stated you shouldn't have had to explain Sheila's story was right but animal issues are... emotional, especially for those of us who have to chronically wrestle with how to deal with the newest unwanted strays on our front porches. There's always a new batch of kittens running into the streets of my neighborhood because people move and leave their unneutered pets behind to breed out of control. The cat population in my neighborhood has always been an issue but, with this economy, dogs are becoming the new problem. About a month ago I looked out an upstairs window and saw two skinny dogs playing tug-of-war with what looked like a turkey carcass in the alley. Living in a really poor neighborhood, I've seen things people in the suburbs can't imagine. The problem is so much worse than the average American realizes. Compassion exhaustion has become a reality for me now.

Needless to say, I wish all intentional breeding could be stopped immediately because, like the posters who work the front lines know, it's just not responsible as long as millions of wonderful but unwanted pets are being euthanized. So, though Bubachick owes nobody an explanation I have to say that reading Shelia's story has been a real relief.

Bubbachick, You and your husband are angels with golden hearts to give one poor dog in a desperate situation a happy ending. I love stories like this.

Bri - They're just adorable!!

Is anyone else getting "Puppy Fever"?? ;):)

That's a big YES!!!

I was in PetSmart today buying toys for my son's GF new Shepard baby. The foster mom is dropping her newly adopted boy off this Friday:D:D:D. Anyway, I saw a lady with 2 boxers and my heart leaped out of my chest. It's crazy. I think I'm completely ga ga over boxers. :confused:She warned me that her girl licks a lot. LOL! Oh, ya think? Boxers who give kisses?? Never! LOL! I soaked up all the kisses that girl had to give. (Maximus sniffed me like crazy when I got home)
I want another boxer baby but DH has to be the ridiculous voice of reason:rolleyes:

Yes, Bubachick was very gracious to explain - it's good to hear stories like that, and I really admire her for remaining so positive. Thanks Stacey for the nice post. Sorry if I came off all "attacky" - as you correctly observe, animals often have a direct line to our emotional centers, and I find it very hard to hold my tongue (or my keyboard) when it comes to the plight of shelter animals.

That being said, the puppies are adorable!! I totally have puppy-itis now.

They are so adorable! I don't think I could part with any of them. Sheila looks like a great mommy. Congrats and enjoy! :)
