Progress, not Perfection !!

Good morning, though seems like afternoon already! I had to see to an emergency at work at 3:30am this morning so I've been up for awhile! Unfortunately I'm working crazy hours the next 3 days. If I get home early enough I may workout, but right now I'm too tired!

Gonna go grab some more coffee!

Morning Ladies, up having my coffee getting ready for work.

Been really chilly in Vegas, the high has only been 59 and I love it.

Did not workout over the weekend, instead little Ms. Lulu and I attending the Strut your Mutt funtion at the Dog Park on Saturday. Poor thing was so tired when we got home all she did was get in her bed and sleep.

Since today is Monday, its back to work and exercise. Going to do some type of cardio this eveing after work in my chilly garage.

I hope you ladies have a great Monday. :)

Deanna, if I brought my dogs to a dog function they would get kicked out for bad behavior. They would try to destroy all the other dogs. They'd probably try to eat ms Lulu for lunch lunch. bbl~~
 
FnV, yeah you better keep them at home...LOL

My little Ms. Lulu in my baby, if something happens to her I would be devastated. She is so cute. I am going to see if I can post a pic of her.

She is my BFF, my confidant. I got her when I was going through treatment and when I use to come home from Chemo she use to lick my tears away. She is my baby :)


PS: Create a album with 3 pics of my little Lulu when she was a baby, she is 2 years old now. ENJOY :)

Deanna...sounds like you had a fun weekend!

Me, no workout all weekend, had to work. Today got home and just binged on junk b/c I hadnt eaten all day. Rule of thumb, dont goto the grocery store hungry!

I havent worked out since October 30th, so tomorrow I'll do my favorite "get back in the swing of things" workout which is usually Cathe's LIC or Cardio & Weights!

Stacy, good idea on fall back get started back workouts. I haven't done anything. But, I did bring my Stats grade up from D to B and celebrated dd 16th birthday this weekend. I know I can make it thru this month and come out swinging.

FnV....great job on your B!!! I started out as a math major in college...eventually changed, but I never did quite grasp the Stats class!

My stomach is in a bit of a mess this morning b/c of my crappy "dinner". Tons of errands to run today after my workout, bbl!

Goals today...

1. Workout
2. Water, Water, Water
3. Portion control at dinner (we're taking my niece out to dinner for her bday)

Deanna, how is the new rotation going so far? Did your week get off to a good start after your time off?

Stacy, I found the puppy pics on Deanna's pics on her page. I don't like to think of Ms DeeDee having chemo. : ( I am glad Ms Lulu was there.
Stacy, I can't imagine considering math major when I was younger, but now I like math a lot.

I don't have much to report. What a shame if Susan's friends visit derails ALL of us!
If I stay hydrated, eat some fruits and veggies and stay away from halloween candy I will be doing OK today.

I have been lazy, I have not worked out in a week. I have a 4 day weekend, hopefully I can get back on track. However I have been walking at work with coworker.

Hello! I'm not feeling total derailed, just super busy at work and getting home very late as well. I'm off this weekend so I'm definitely going to workout on both Saturday and Sunday. My diet hasnt been horrible but definitely could be better!!

I think if we at least keep popping in to say "hi" we'll be okay!! I've been starting to clean my house and do a little Xmas shopping on my spare time so it's been busy, busy!
 
Stacy, I feel super busy and de- railed, but I realized later I shouldn't have spoken for you, you said you had busy weekend, etc.

No progress or perfection here either unless you count getting another small chunk of Xmas shopping done, but no workouts this weekend. I finally had a weekend to do absolutely nothing and that's pretty much what I did. I definitely had the time to workout but it felt good to lay around and be lazy!
 
Hi guys. I haven't read through all the posts but I would like to join the group. I'm hoping it will give me the boost I need to get moving. If I'm not perfect in my eating or working out, then for some reason I stop doing everything for the week. Instead of starting again the next day I tell myself I will start again next week (and then of course by then I'm out of the habit of working out and find it that much harder to get into the groove again). Which I guess is where I'm at now. It's been a couple weeks since I've eaten right or worked out. Well hopefully that will change this week. I went shopping last night and am stocked up on healthy foods. I finally bit the bullet and bought a ton of downloads. I took advantage of the quantity discount and got just about every video. I even got the STS series which I plan on starting after the new year. But now I'm overwhelmed with all the choices I have! I'm new to Cathe so I have only done a few videos (Travel Fit, KPC and CCC) do I'm not familiar with her way of doing things yet. I recently bought adjustable dumbbells and a barbell off of Craigslist, but I have yet to take them out of the garage. So I have no excuses anymore, now I just need to do it. I think I am going to do Turbo Barre today to get me into the groove again.

Anyway, sorry for the novel. I'm hoping this thread gets me going again and remind myself that I don't have to be perfect, just do my best and make progress.

It sounds like everyone is in a bit of a slump... hmmmmmmm..... you'd better enjoy your "down" time cause Grandma will be back next Tues (Nov 22nd) and I'm going to be ready to kick some butt..... lol...mainly mine !!!!

I have done no workouts, but I expected that with my friend here. And I've eaten a lot of food with a lot of fat..... and I enjoyed it...

But.... the progress part is that.... ta da.... drum roll please..... :p I weighed myself this morning and I have not gained an ounce !!! Yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was shocked... to say the least...

We are having a great time... Been running all over town and been busy busy busy. I'm exhausted... lol

However... I can't wait to get back to my workouts.... I'm chomping at the bit...

I haven't read every word that you've posted while I've been on "vacation"... just skimmed.... can't wait to see all the doggie photos.... I'll have to post pics of my 2 precious kitties and my late doggie.. my best friend... Christie.. whom I miss every day..

Deanna - I particularly wanted to wish you a happy 1st day of our 13th week. Yesterday was the end of our Official 12 week Beginner Rotation.

We did GREAT my friend !!! Congratulations.

Now we need to keep up the good work.... a group slump is okay... because..

Keep the home fires burning for one more week and then we are going to go all out.. full steam ahead... so rest up my friends..... lol

I have bet my friend $50 that I will lose 30 pounds by the time she comes back to visit again in May. So I have 6 months to lose 30 pounds.

I'm going to need your help...

I got up and did 42 minutes of Turbo Barre. I thought I was going to die. Hopefully I can finish it this afternoon. Just having a banana before working out is not cutting it, I thought I was going to get sick. Oh well, at least it was something!
