ha ha, I had a flashback to high school, some friends of mine and I used to say that and touch rings...dumb teenage stuff!
WOW what a week. Okay, just got done shoveling the last third of the driveway, then running around in a foot of crusty snow in the yard with the doggies = major HIIT!
Thursday at work was craaaazy. Driving in at 630 am, it was barely beginning to snow. By eight, there was six inches of snow on the ground and traffic was a total standstill. People were just leaving cars stranded in the middle of the highway! They closed all of the clinics and we barely had any staff there, so it was quiet and nice. The bad part was they told us we were getting put up in a hotel after work, so at 4 pm I clocked out and went to where we were supposed to go to get our room assignments. WELL by almost 7 pm, they told us that in fact we did NOT have rooms, so after a long day of uncertainty and hearing about how horrid the conditions were I decided to test out my all wheel drive Nissan Rogue (highly recommending that car BTW) and drive home. The car did great, I made it, but missed my exit on the highway because there were so many stranded cars they blocked it, and the cleared path to get on that exit was way back at the previous one! plus it was dark by then...so I almost missed the next exit, had to make a quick turn and plow through a snowdrift but I made it with a little fishtailing! My neighborhood had not been plowed at all, so thankfully my car made it through the 1-2 foot piles on the street and hubby had cleaned off the driveway for me so getting home I swear I heard angels singing when my garage door opened...I was soooo happy to be home! Turns out they did finally find a place for my other coworkers to stay around 9 pm, but they had to pile into rooms. Sleeping with a bunch of coworkers when no one has any jammies doesn't sound like my idea of fun! They all looked really tired the next day. Sleeping in my own bed was nice, but I didn't sleep very well as I was stressed out a little about driving back in the next morning. Turns out it wasn't bad at all. BUT...I saw on the news this morning to expect another 12-18" on MONDAY! Oh sure, it doesn't rain OR SNOW here for two solid years and then we get this? Thinking the roof on our house better not collapse! They say we might get ice with this one as well, geez I hope not. I can't deal with that.
So...today I did my snow exercise, then plan on tons of laundry and cleaning and getting ready for the next storm. *SIGH* Will likely be booking a hotel room in advance for Sunday and Monday night...so that rotation I was going to start today is just going to have to wait.
Stacy, I hope your ice storm wasn't too bad and you were able to get around, Wonder Twin!
Peng, I know some of this has got to be coming your way as well. Hope you stay warm and remember if you get cold how good it feels to work up a sweat with Cathe! ha ha!
Next week I PROMISE I am going to get back to business. I have been working on putting all of my workouts and premixes into a spreadsheet, classifying them by type and length to make it easier to figure out what to do. Plus, there are a lot of premixes I didn't even know about, like that low impact kick max timesaver one, so I'm really excited about the planning possibilities! Diet is going to get back in order as well, my goal is to look JUST LIKE CATHE from the Hardcore series. She's perfect back then! I don't want to get too big in the shoulders/biceps, want to be tight and tiny like she is in that series, and that is what I decided when I was doing kickmax the other day. I also like that she's adorable without any makeup, since I never wear any myself! Almost makes me hesitate to buy her newer workouts, as I don't want to get linebacker arms. I did order High Reps the other day, but that's not exactly a bulking up workout as I understand.
So...be prepared for my PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION plan for March! What are you all going to do? I'm going to be on your case! ha ha!
