PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION - Fab in Feb

This morning I fell out of bed reaching for a slipper, the good news is I didn't hurt myself or land on the dog, then I dropped a roast I was trying to get ready for the crock pot {I cleaned it off} then cut myself {not badly}, and had the burner on the stove up too high and burned the bottom of my pan! But the house smells wonderful and we will have a good meal tonight.

the Bible study that my Mom and I have been attending for many years is dissolving next year due to those who are in charge are all leaving. We are a little stunned today. Mom and I felt that God was leading us in another direction next year but this was unexpected.

Eating was a step in the right direction today. No workout though, too tired after work, but planning on a quick workout tomorrow morning before work.

The Bible study has been around for close to 35 years, so we are still a little stunned, while they seem to have a good plan for what's going to happen next, neither my Mom nor I want to continue because of all the changes.

It sleeted yesterday and stormed today but it seems to be over and didn't turn worse or snow. No Knit Night tonight, however Hubby and I played Uno and spent some time together.

I opted to sleep an extra hour this morning and forego the workout. I ate pretty well today, not perfect but better! I have lost 2.4 lbs this week just with eating better, and drinking more water. I know this is really all water weight but I feel better already! I'm planning on doing 2 good, strong workouts this weekend.

i am up, headed to work for day two of snowpcalypse/winter storm Q. apparently the most snow KC has had in one dump in the history of the world.

also, while 80% of our staff is unable to make it to work,I apparently possess powers I never knew i had because i made it there and back home yesterday...it was a crazy day I will have to fill you in on later!

suffice it to say I'm sick of the whiners!

LOL, Andrea....you are very powerful!! ;)

Speaking of bad weather, we had an ice storm last night even my doggies were sliding around on the frozen grass on the side yard. Hoping they salted the roads or else driving to work today will be scary! (But, since I'm also powerful, I will be there)

ha ha, I had a flashback to high school, some friends of mine and I used to say that and touch rings...dumb teenage stuff!

WOW what a week. Okay, just got done shoveling the last third of the driveway, then running around in a foot of crusty snow in the yard with the doggies = major HIIT!

Thursday at work was craaaazy. Driving in at 630 am, it was barely beginning to snow. By eight, there was six inches of snow on the ground and traffic was a total standstill. People were just leaving cars stranded in the middle of the highway! They closed all of the clinics and we barely had any staff there, so it was quiet and nice. The bad part was they told us we were getting put up in a hotel after work, so at 4 pm I clocked out and went to where we were supposed to go to get our room assignments. WELL by almost 7 pm, they told us that in fact we did NOT have rooms, so after a long day of uncertainty and hearing about how horrid the conditions were I decided to test out my all wheel drive Nissan Rogue (highly recommending that car BTW) and drive home. The car did great, I made it, but missed my exit on the highway because there were so many stranded cars they blocked it, and the cleared path to get on that exit was way back at the previous one! plus it was dark by then...so I almost missed the next exit, had to make a quick turn and plow through a snowdrift but I made it with a little fishtailing! My neighborhood had not been plowed at all, so thankfully my car made it through the 1-2 foot piles on the street and hubby had cleaned off the driveway for me so getting home I swear I heard angels singing when my garage door opened...I was soooo happy to be home! Turns out they did finally find a place for my other coworkers to stay around 9 pm, but they had to pile into rooms. Sleeping with a bunch of coworkers when no one has any jammies doesn't sound like my idea of fun! They all looked really tired the next day. Sleeping in my own bed was nice, but I didn't sleep very well as I was stressed out a little about driving back in the next morning. Turns out it wasn't bad at all. BUT...I saw on the news this morning to expect another 12-18" on MONDAY! Oh sure, it doesn't rain OR SNOW here for two solid years and then we get this? Thinking the roof on our house better not collapse! They say we might get ice with this one as well, geez I hope not. I can't deal with that.

So...today I did my snow exercise, then plan on tons of laundry and cleaning and getting ready for the next storm. *SIGH* Will likely be booking a hotel room in advance for Sunday and Monday night...so that rotation I was going to start today is just going to have to wait.

Stacy, I hope your ice storm wasn't too bad and you were able to get around, Wonder Twin!
Peng, I know some of this has got to be coming your way as well. Hope you stay warm and remember if you get cold how good it feels to work up a sweat with Cathe! ha ha!

Next week I PROMISE I am going to get back to business. I have been working on putting all of my workouts and premixes into a spreadsheet, classifying them by type and length to make it easier to figure out what to do. Plus, there are a lot of premixes I didn't even know about, like that low impact kick max timesaver one, so I'm really excited about the planning possibilities! Diet is going to get back in order as well, my goal is to look JUST LIKE CATHE from the Hardcore series. She's perfect back then! I don't want to get too big in the shoulders/biceps, want to be tight and tiny like she is in that series, and that is what I decided when I was doing kickmax the other day. I also like that she's adorable without any makeup, since I never wear any myself! Almost makes me hesitate to buy her newer workouts, as I don't want to get linebacker arms. I did order High Reps the other day, but that's not exactly a bulking up workout as I understand.

So...be prepared for my PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION plan for March! What are you all going to do? I'm going to be on your case! ha ha!

Andrea, your Thursday sounded hellacious, but glad you made it home!! I think I'd rather poke myself in the eye with an icepick then spend the night in a hotel with some of my co-workers ;)

Our ice storm was short lived, all melted in a few hours. I managed somehow to get to work, but somehow schools managed to all close. No offense to teachers, but I think they just wanted a day off! Today it is sunny and in the 40's. It's nice to see a blue sky!

Today I did Burn Sets Bi/Tri + abs. I wanted to get in some cardio but my mind was fuzzy, so I just walked on the treadmill at a 1 degree incline at a brisk pace for 2 miles. It wasnt much but it was something. Next week my brother and 3 friends are coming in town for a fitness conference and certification class. They'll be here 3 days and I'm working next weekend as well, so I'm with you, Andrea, my workouts will be a bit on the back burner next week. I'll do something but no specific rotation, but LOOK OUT MARCH GET READY FOR SOME WORKOUT MADNESS!!!!!!!!

I'm still enjoying XTrain and LIS, so I plan to continue with those but put a bit more emphasis on Legs. I did get some good results in January, ie. I felt stronger and could feel the hard work underneath by blubber layer, so with that rotation (which was only 5 days a week) paired with some cleaner eating, I'll be on my way to Wonder Twin status!

I tried Lower Body Blast for the first time today. I had to modify a few things and then totally skipped the last lunge section my legs were fried. I also didnt do the floor work or the bonus leg conditioning drills (similar to Turbo Barre stuff). I still managed a 43 min workout with pauses, a good sweat and already feeling leg DOMS. So this one is one I can grow with anyway.

Tomorrow is a planned rest day :)

I did a workout!!! From Leslie's 5DWP I did the red and purple miles and added on the abs section. ~ 40min. I feel accommplished and it felt good to be up and moving, especially since it didn't involve laundry. :p

I was supposed to weigh myself today, but forgot. No, really, I forgot!

andrea, I'm sorry you feel stuck. I hope you get some time off, without snow, soon! The hotel situation sounded like a big mess!

Stacy, its supposed to start raining any time now but its holding off. I spent some time outside yesterday and this morning, chilly but bearable, to soak up some sun while it lasted.

Peng, always good to be moving and NOT doing laundry!

Andrea, hope you get home safely!

I did Athletic Training UB premix. I've been doing most of the LIS workouts now on an 8 inch step instead of 6 in, what a difference that makes! I'll keep it up as long as my knees continue not to protest.

I did Supercuts today. I like the mix of exercises and that we don't repeat the same moves too often, and its hard but fun. I skipped the pushup/situp section.

I weighed myself this morning but no change from the last time I weighed a few weeks ago but at least I didn't gain.

Off to make oatmeal cookies with craisins and butterscotch chips. I'm like the cookies but not the craisins so I'll only make a few without for Hubby and I.

Stacy, AT was my second choice so maybe I'll do that Thursday.

I'm home! Taking tomorrow off. Not sure if i've ever been this exhausted!

I'm excited to work on a rotation for next month. Probably going to incorporate a lot of weights and give those LIS workouts another go;-)

great to see you getting back in the swing, Peng! Very motivating :)

Too funny, Peng, Supercuts was my 2nd choice! I really like the pushup/ab section!

Andrea, ENJOY YOUR DAY OFF!!! I'm excited to see what rotation you come up with!

Tomorrow is either yoga or Cleaning Max. My brother and 2 of his friends are staying here all weekend so I have Wed night and Thurs night to clean. Knowing me I'll put it off until late Thurs night and regret it!

How is the cleaning going Stacy? I need to do that myself. instead i built a snowman

which Pinto has to go talk to every time she goes out, took a nap, ate some yummy spring rolls from Costco :) and then did the upper body only from the Bootcamp DVD...she sure packs a lot into ten minutes! felt good to move and stretch though. now i think I'll go lay in a snowdrift :)
