Well work wasn't too bad, other than a friend of mine getting a call from her hubby that he had taken their dog to the vet and he was going to be put to sleep today. She was bawling so hard, I started crying, our supervisor started crying...we were all messes. Their dog was pretty old, had cancer and had started bleeding out of his hind end last night, so it was pretty obvious that was what was going to have to happen. Still so very sad though. However, the rest of the day went surprisingly smoothly.
Did my B/Sh/Bi's workout when I got home, and OMG Rich made the best dinner! Purple cabbage sauteed with apple cider vinegar and mustard, some quinoa, and smoked salmon with a squeeze of lemon, dill weed, and some sriracha sauce! Sounds super strange but it was fantastic and so healthy! Gotta give him some major props for that. Captain Buzzkill did awesome today!
S- Hope your doggies are on the way to getting better! I'm getting ready to head to bed at 7:20pm so I can be rested up for my game tomorrow night! I'm with you on your eating less potatoes, bread, and the like. I'm doing the same.
P- I remember once you had said you rarely eat salads except for when you go out. I know if I have a week or two where I eat a huge salad (without cheese, heavy dressings, croutons, etc...I do lots of colorful veggies and some black beans or garbanzo beans, and just a drizzle of light dressing or vinegar) for one of my meals each day it's practically impossible NOT to lose weight. Get a salad spinner, clean a bunch of lettuce, cut your veggies up and have them ready to go, and meals are a breeze. (I'm saying all this like I do it everyday. I don't. But I need to. I did do it last week and it was awesome). Since it's getting cold, having some soup is a great idea. Filling, satisfying, comforting, but not going to add to what's already there. I had a year a couple of years ago where the scale jumped 12 pounds. I pretty much decided then, I'm not getting any younger, it's now or never I kept telling myself. And since then, I've veeeerrrrrryyy gradually gone down, kind of like Stacy said, slow and steady will win the race. You want to join me in December on my circuits/ cardio plan? I think I'll do one day of heavy lifting per week, but most days will be lighter and will help burn off the fat and not make you so sore! I'm going to continue my Gym Styles for at least one more week, maybe transition into the circuit work the last week of December. STICK WITH US!!! We're all going to help each other get the results we want.
So....WHAT DO WE WANT!?!?! Stacy knows, she's got 10 pounds to go. (YOU ROCK BTW!)
I want...let's see I want to weigh 122. I want to be strong when I get there, not skinny, but I want to get there. Last time I weighed myself I was at 136. I could get into measurements and all that, and I know the scale can be deceiving, but I also know myself well enough to know that 122 IS achievable and that I will look and feel awesome at that weight. I also want to do every one of the Cathe videos I have. By March.
Let's get on it!
