Prego Support July 27-August 3

Mattea, that is interesting. I"m not going to worry about anything until we see the precious babies. :) I have had no inclination that the placenta was not presenting itself normally,......but each of my twins share one placenta which makes it more interseting to follow......

Jen- I will go find the video so I can give you the name. If any of you have NETFLIX, you can usually get them on there, so you do not have to buy it. If you want to, I can send you mine, but need it back before I deliver. No problem at all.
And yes, you are a great group. Remember that. There was a group that had a woman who berated others for gaining weight, she was virtually anorexic, and psycho. I almost cried reading it. Off to eat banana chocolate chip coconut muffins. Any idea why the scale is going up, those are why!

That would be awesome if you could send it! When's your due date again? I will PM you my address if you don't mind.

:)

Thanks Allison!

Melanie-I didn't mean to imply your placenta was in a weird place, just that depending on where it is, it can absorb some of those darling little kicks and punches so that you don't feel them so well. Hey, or maybe the sibling thing is starting early and they're concentrating on poking each other ;) Wow, sharing a placenta! That is a very special kind of closeness they will feel even after they are born.

Have a great Friday!
Mattea

Christine- I just LOVE your attitude about pregnancy! Now I am going to try and convince my DH to let me sip his beer and have a sip of wine! I didn't stop the deli meat either just switched to another brand that my doctor recommended because it was lower in nitrates.

Melanie- Congrats on the law suit! Buy the little ones something nice! Or something for yourself!

Priscilla- Still thinking about you and agree with everyone's posts! It's probably just the doctor's precautions and don't blame yourself. Like Christine, everyone has a different hurdle during pregnancy. That is why we are all on here to support each other and share our stories.

Mattea- Good luck and glad to know we are inspiring and making you smile each day! Feel free to chime in anytime!

Allison- I haven't heard of that book but let me know if you order it. That would be interesting to read!

Well, the back pain was so bad on my right side last night that I was in tears! I tried walking on the TM but only made it about 10 minutes. I did stretch and took a bath with epsom salt and iced my back later. Nothing seemed to help until I took Tylenol right before bed so I did sleep pretty good. I took one Tylenol this AM to take the edge off because it started up again. But I am determined to walk on the TM again to help with the muscles!

Have a great day!

Hello heartburn. That is all I can say today. Holy moly. I am being punished for the guacamole I had earlier and baby has huge input.
Slept well for the first time in weeks. What a relief. My doctor encouraged me to take Unisom for my sleeplessness as needed, and I am so thankful.
Off to find Tums.
Happy Friday preggos!

Christine- Sorry to hear about the heartburn! When I get it, I get it BAADD! It can bring me to tears sometimes! Unisom??? Hmm...I should ask my dr about that.

Apparently, Unison was originally created as an anti-morning sickness med, but made everyone fall asleep! He prescribes it for morning sickness and for sleeplessness! I was telling him that I lay awake in teh middle of the night for hours and then am barely able to function the next day. He told me to use it as needed. Thank goodness. Nothing like a full night of sleep to recharge the battery. Such a relief!!!

We had an ultrasound today (probably my last of the pregnancy). I'm 32 weeks, 5 days; baby looks to be weighing in at 4 lbs 14 oz. Doc said that's normal, but I'm hoping baby doesn't gain more than 2.5 more pounds!!! DD was 7 lbs 6 oz -- that was big enough for me LOL

Seems we're all fatigued, eh? I've been averaging about 4-5 hours a night for the past week, and it's catching up to me today.

I'm trying like crazy to get DD's bedroom redone. Finally got a mattress for her big kid bed today! I'm almost finished painting her dresser (it's amazing what paint can do to a piece of old furniture!) and rocking chair. I'm hoping her room is done on Sunday :)

Anyone else looking forward to retiring the maternity clothes? Since I know this is my last pregnancy, I'm getting antsy to just get them OUT of the house!!

Thanks Christine for answering my question.

I just got a call from the nurse and I'm about to cry!!!. She said that they just scheduled an appointment for me to see a perinatologist because of my baby's weight and because my placenta is marginal previa. I don't know what to think but i'm freaking out already
Please keep me in your prayers. I'll see the perinatologist on MOnday and keep you posted.

Thanks

Priscilla, we're here for you. Let us know what happens. I think lots of these extra appointments are just precautions. Better that our doctors take extra precautions. Thinking of you! Dawn

Christine- That is really interesting about the Unisom! Thanks!

Allison- I hope you are able to get the room done! Your lucky your baby's seem to be on the smaller side! Unfortunately I will be hanging on to my maternity clothes because this is our first. BUT I can't wait to put them away!

I have been craving Mexican pizza the last two days and I finally made a healthier version tonight and man was it good! It was so quick and easy also. If anyone is interested, I can post the recipe. I think mexican is really the only thing I have craved this pregnancy.

Hi everyone,

Hope the backpain, heartburn, and other ailments resolve themselves soon!

So I just got back from a Dr's apt. Up 6 more pounds! What? But I've been so good? The doctor told me that I'm doing fine. He actually said I looked beautiful and I shouldn't worry about weight. He said it could be just genetics. So in other words, he basically said to me not to worry about numbers. Just try to be healthy and exercise. Got it!

One other thing--speaking of Netflix, my mom gave me a Baby and Me Yoga video. It was the first time I ever did "yoga." I have to admit that it was quite good. I fast forwarded the chanting at the beginning (not my thing), but really enjoyed some leg exercises where she had us lifting our legs and rolling our ankles. I actually felt it in my muscles and she said it would help prevent varicose veins (I think I'll do the Kick Max leg work soon; it sounds like varicose veins come from poor circulation in our legs--Kick Max certainly gets the blood flowing!). There were other exercises and stretches for our backs, too. Basically, though I didn't think I was a yoga person, I did enjoy this video.

Have a great weekend everyone and hang in there!

Dawn

Dawn- You ARE beautiful but how sweet of your dr to tell you too! That's funny because I just did The Firm Yoga tonight and really enjoyed it. It felt so nice to stretch. I think I may start it back up again.

As promised here is a pic of the crib and dresser that DH stained. It's in the baby's room but not really set up the way we want it yet.

Dawn, I like your doc :) Mine has the same philosophy. When I lamented my weight gain despite regular exercise and better eating this time, he told me that you can't fight genetics. I wonder if part of their words has to do with the fact that our docs know we eat (relatively) well and exercise. My girlfriend, who does nothing, has been lectured by her OB about eating right and moving more.

Jen, doesn't it seem so REAL when you get the crib set up??? :D

Allison- It does seem so much more real! Its adorable because DH goes in the room alot just to look. I think it has made it so much more real to him too! I am so proud of him too! He is adjusting to all of this so well.

Hey guys! Anyone around today? Well, I did a Firm workout and stretched and I feel GREAT! It's funny how I am nearing the third trimester and getting more energy. I guess I do this pregnancy thing backwards. Hee hee.....

I'll check back later. Thinking of going to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. Have a great Saturday!

Hi Jen. I"m here! Nice baby furniture. I'm proud of your DH. :D Handymen are so sexy...... :p

I just got back from a Steam Engine Show with the family. It was in an itsy bitsy town not far from where we live. It was fun, something different to do. I"m exhausted though, might have to take a nap!!!

We leave for our doctor's appt tomorrow. Remember, we live in the middle of nowhere,....about 8 hours or so from doctors,.....so we'll need to hotel it tomorrow, then go to appt at 9, then straight back home (I work Tues).

Will keep everyone updates, please keep the three of us in your prayers. :D

Chatty group this week......wasn't able to keep up with everyone.

Waves to all!
